For My Brother's Sakes I'm Getting Married Young
S2 CHAPTER 7

A dark night full of stars. Zahra silently looked away into space. His mind drifted with the eyes away.

His heart was filled with worry. Could it be that he deserves to be with a good guy named Uncle Egi?

Is not a soulmate a reflection of self. How he can get the best soul mate. But he just did not keep himself.

The sound of a slow knock drew Zahra from her worries. He stepped forward to the door, then opened it.

Mona stood smiling as the door opened. Mona said, "Are you not asleep, honey?"

"I'm not sleepy yet, Ma" replied Zahra.

"May Mama come in?"

"certain." Look at her mother with a smile.

Mona dragged her feet into the child's room. This room used to be full of toys. But now it's different. Because Zahra is growing up.

Mona sat on the bed followed by Zahra.

"Is there something you're thinking about, honey? since coming home from college, Mama has seen you not excited" Mona said.

Quiescent. Zahra looked down. He is indeed not the type of person who can hide his heart feelings in others, except for Egi.

"There is something that disturbs Zahra's heart, Ma. Maybe it's like a knock from God to Zahra" he said.

"What's that?"

"At that time in the mosque. After performing the Ashar prayer. Zahra watched as Uncle Egi glared down. His voice was so sweet that Zahra's heart cried. Not because I saw it for the first time. However, Zahra felt unworthy to be with Uncle Egi" Zahra explained.

"Why?"

"Uncle Egi was a good and religious man. Meanwhile, Zahra ... closing the aurat has not been completely ..," said Zahra.

Mona smiled a little. He was getting closer to his son. Gently rubbing Zahra's shoulder-length hair, she said, "Do you want to hear Mama's beginnings wearing a hijab?"

Zahra nodded slowly.

"alright. Before, Mama married your father. Mama is also like you, even though Aunt Lisa always reminds Mama about the obligation of hijab for Muslim women. After marriage, your father said something that made Mama cry, then without asking again. Mama immediately decided to hijab, and completely closed the aurat."

Zahra glanced at her mother. His heart wanted to ask what his father had told his mother.

"You must want to know, right?" Still gently rubbing Zahra's hair.

"Yes, Ma" replied Zahra.

Mona took her hand off Zahra's head. He looked up at the sky from the open window.

"Your father said that when a Muslim woman does not close her aura. So there were four men he dragged to hell with him" Mona said.

"Who are the four men, Ma?" ask Zahra curiously.

"Your father, your brother, your husband, and your son" Mona said.

Zahra stunned. Without feeling the clear liquid began to drip, then slid freely on his cheek. His heart is getting stronger. Is it true what he heard?

Mona saw that. He immediately approached the child's body, then said, "You're not too late. Didn't Mama and Papa always remind you? maybe this is when your heart can just accept."

The cry of Zahra broke in the arms of the mother. He felt sorry, because all this time did not listen to what Papa and Mama.

"Ma ... Zahra wanted to close the aurat completely. But Zahra is not a good person. Zahra's behavior is still like this" Zahra said.

Silent. There was no conversation between the two. Zahra still did not want to stop her crying. Mona understands the difficult things her son is facing.

Without them noticing, Rey listened to the conversation of the two from the doorway. The middle-aged man smiled, then passed away. He could not see Zahra crying in his arms.

Zahra raised her head. Take a deep breath, then exhale slowly. Zahra stared fixedly at her mother as she said, "Zahra's finger closes the true aurat, Ma."

Mona's smile expands. That beautiful speech he finally heard. Without waiting for long, Mona rushed to her room. He wanted to give her the hijab he had just bought. But he had not given it to his son.

Rey saw his wife go into the room. A look full of happiness. Rey smiled as she said, "You are the best Mom. I don't regret marrying a woman like you."

As if she understood her husband's intentions. Mona returned Rey's smile.

"I hope we can both educate our daughter to be a woman worthy of HER LORD,"

Rey nodded slowly. He returned to lay his tired body, because all day work.

Mona approached the closet, then opened it. His hand took out a light green parcel. He smiled, then said, "Oh Allah, I wish Zahra my son. Can Istiqomah in carrying out his duty to you."

Without waiting long. Mona immediately closes back the closet, then passes leaving her husband who may have already fallen asleep to dreamland.

Meanwhile, Zahra was silently staring when she saw her mother leaving her. It does not prevent. But his heart kept asking.

Zahra stepped towards the window. He looked back at the hundreds of stars that are now present decorate the dark night sky.

"You guys are so shining. I want to be like you, to be able to light someone's heart in the dark. However, now I realized that I should have steadied myself first. I'm sure God will give me the best mate someday" Zahra murmured.

The sound of footsteps approached him. He turned towards the back. It was as if the mother was carrying a small parcel, then said, "Here, take it!"

Zahra grabbed the parcel and said, "What's this, Ma?"

"That's the hijab that Mama just bought a week ago. Mama was going to give it to you yesterday, but Mama was always forgetful. When you said your intention. Mom immediately thought about the package. Maybe this is how God knocks on your heart" Mona said.

Zahra slowly opened the parcel. He saw five hijabs in beautiful colors. Zahra looked back at her mother. He immediately rushed back into the arms of his mother.

"Thank you, Ma ...," said Zahra.

"Together, my dear." Hugged Zahra tightly.

"Now, sleep! It's late at night. Do not forget to pray before going to bed. Congratulations son. I pray that God will always give you happiness, and send a good man to your priest." Kissing Zahra's forehead.

"Aamiin" replied Zahra.

"Then you go to sleep, yes!"

"Yes, Ma,"

Mona turned around, then stepped out of the room. Meanwhile, Zahra was still faithfully staring at the back of the Mama.

Zahra hurried to sit in front of the dresser. He took a blue hijab and put it on.

How surprised he was when he saw his different appearance. Zahra was a little impressed.

"God willing, beautiful," murmured Zahra.

He blinked a few times. Ensuring that the reflection in the mirror is indeed him.
