S2 CHAPTER 11

Two days after that, Egi was still the same as usual. He will go to the temple to teach.

This morning, the weather was very clear. Egi walks down the campus corridor quietly. He has two classes today.

The man was famous for his discipline. Not just his students, but to himself the same. He will go home, and leave according to the schedule that has been arranged.

Today the class was a bit rowdy. Zahra and the twins were sitting on their benches.

Once in a while the twins try to explore Zahra who is focusing on reading. They also try to tempt Zahra with a snack that is always faithful in the bag of both.

Zahra doesn't care. He kept reading. In his mind that he should be able to pass, and boast of both his parents.

The twins did not give up. The two directed all ideas to shake the defense of the brown-veiled girl.

"Shut up! I'm not kidding!" snapped Zahra.

The girl was getting angry. He returned to focus on the book sheet in front of him.

"Ki, Zahra tumben want to be teased," Ujae Riko.

"Maybe he's tired" Riki replied.

From the outside came the sound of shoes clashing against the floor. The footsteps of a lecturer they were waiting for.

Egi came in to say hello. Students and students returned their greetings.

The mood became quiet. The chaos just vanished. The echoing laughing voice instantly dimmed, then disappeared slowly carried away by the wind.

"Let's start class today" Egi said.

Egi mentions one by one the names of students and students. He wanted to know how many students were attending his class.

"Rina Selvina," call Egi.

"Remain." The red-hooded girl replied.

Egi momentarily fell silent. He raised his head, then noticed the face of the student whose hands were still raised upwards.

The girl smiled a little. He seemed to signal that his prayer had now been fulfilled. Egi back focus on absent book.

Zahra who was on the front two benches noticed the lecturer's eyes. It turned its body, to see the object that made the ice man slightly disturbed.

His eyes found the sweet girl who was still faithful looking at Egi. Makes Zahra's mind wonder.

"What is uncle's relationship with the woman" he murmured softly.

Egi began to explain the material. He does not like to delay time.

"So, do you understand?" ask Egi.

"Yes, Mr. Lecturer," they answered in unison.

"alright. I'll give you a task for next week. I hope no one cheats on each other. You already know very well 'the consequences, '" said Egi.

All students and students answered yes. Egi explained the tasks that his students had to do.

"Then, I closed our class today. Do not forget to collect the tasks at the next meeting. Assalamualaikum." Closing the ledger, then storing it back in a bag.

"Getishalight." The student answered.

One by one the students and students came out. They want to breathe free. Tension of each class that Egi leads. Makes it hard for almost all of his students to just breathe.

Meanwhile, Egi was still standing holding his gawai. He was replying to a message from his brother asking him to come home early.

The girl named Rina approached Egi, then said, "Sir Lecturer."

Her soft voice rubbed Egi's ears. He lifted his head, then said, "Yes, can I help you?"

A sweet smile re-expelled on Lina's lips. The girl looked happy to see back the figure of the man who had helped her.

"I did not expect that you are a lecturer at this campus," said Rina.

"Yes, I was also a little surprised to see you just now," Egi replied.

"Thank you for that time. If Mr. Lecturer does not exist. I might-be,"

Egi was about to step. However, Rina prevented it.

"What's wrong?" ask Egi.

"Look, can you forgive Dirga's treatment in the hospital. I'm sure he's just worried. Hence, he said rudely to you," said Rina.

"I've forgotten it. I hope you're okay with her." Step forward away from Rina.

"Wait on! Can you keep a secret about Dirga's harsh treatment of me. I don't want the whole campus to know. He'll be mad at me" Pinta Rina.

"Why?" ask Egi.

Rina did not flinch. His mouth just locked. The already empty atmosphere of the classroom made him even more silent.

Egi stepped back. For him, abstaining from interfering in the affairs of others was too deep. The same thing with him who does not want others to interfere too much with his personal problems.

"Sometimes you will understand. I never said anything personal to anyone else. However, with you I feel like I can't lie!" rina Beber.

I just listen without answering. He chose to leave the class. Suddenly he hit someone who was hiding behind the door.

The guy's biting his lower lip. He felt nervous, because he was caught by his own lecturer.

"Sorry," great-grandson of Zahra.

Egi stared intently at Zahra like a sword ready to strike his target.

"Are you eavesdropping?" ask Egi.

Zahra. It's like a thief caught stealing. His hands clasped tightly indicating a sense of nervousness was engulfing him.

"Bu-not so Uncle," argued Zahra.

"Then what was it like?" insist Egi.

"Look, my phone was left in the classroom. When I want to come in. I saw my uncle talking to the girl. So, I'm waiting for uncle to finish" explained Zahra.

Egi was still observing the girl who was talking to him. His eyes barged in seeking the truth in Zahra's eyes.

"Uncle, I'm not lying. I really want to take my phone ...," said Zahra.

"Take it!" egi commands.

"Gee!" sahut Zahra's.

"Hurry and grab your phone. Do you want to stay here all day!" egi Tegur.

"Ah, yes Uncle." Step forward.

Just two steps away, Zahra's foot slipped. Egi swiftly caught Zahra's waist with one hand.

Now Egi's position is like hugging Zahra. They were momentarily silent until the sound of people walking pulled the two away from the reverie.

Lina just got out of class. He watched on as Egi's burly hand grabbed Zahra quickly.

"Sorry, I don't know if there's anyone else outside." He sat down and continued his journey home.

Meanwhile, Zahra and Egi were still in their respective positions. Both seemed equally shocked by the incident just now. Egi quickly let go of his embrace.

"I don't intend to touch you. You always scared me. Can you walk right once with me!" egi Lontar.

Egi again dribbled his feet to leave the classroom. Twice he had to embrace Zahra's waist, because of the owner's carelessness.

"Uncle, was that woman the one uncle liked?" ask Zahra suddenly.
