Episode 16 - Mother-in-Mother

Chitra's room is full of white and blue shades. The bed was quite large with sky blue sheets. Near the window was a large bookcase that almost filled the wall. The bookshelf consists of various types of books. There are fiction and non-fiction books, ranging from thin to wall-thick. Chitra seems to be diligent in reading and studying. He deserves to be the best student in his class.

Florisa has already scanned some of these Chitra books. That way, he will not be in trouble when the test later. Chitra did not have to worry about his value dropping when Florisa replaced him.

“I'm the one full of calculations.” Florisa praised herself.

Florisa had also tried to check the entire contents of Chitra's room to look for clues. But he did not find anything that looked like a clue. The most suspicious one seems to be just a laptop tucked neatly inside a desk drawer. Florisa could not bring it to life, nor could he operate it. The circular tool on his left wrist has a similar way of operating with a laptop. He just doesn't know the password of that thing. And he also did not know that he could ask for help to open his password.

Florisa took the new phone she received from Chitra's mom yesterday. The phone has a pretty big screen. Florisa just kept looking at the phone screen. He expects a call from someone. It's been two hours since he's been waiting for a call from Arzi. But the man didn't call either. Did he forget his promise?

The digital clock on the desk displays the number 21:20. Florisa is getting tired of waiting for Arzi's call to come.

Florisa threw her body into Chitra's soft mattress. He looked at the ceiling of the room decorated with starry sky paintings. His mind began to glare at the flash of his journey on earth.

Broadly speaking, the earth and the pafanor were not too far apart. Pafanor also has plants of various types and animals of various forms. Its type and shape have little difference with those on earth. For example, the foliage in the pafanor is generally purple while on the earth, the leaves are generally green.

After Chitra is taken to a hospital in the city, Florisa travels from the starting point at Grandma Sani's house. Florisa who had realized that he was in a foreign area, moved with great caution. He had changed his clothes into clothes that humans used to wear. The clothes he got from ‘borrow’ clothes villagers sunbathe in the yard of the house.

Florisa continues his trip which had faltered due to a meeting with Arzi. During his journey he used to know and adapt to the earth's environment. He was shocked when he saw a motorcycle speeding on the highway. Things like motorcycles are not in their place of origin. Neomus used to use transportation like a car driven by super-fast animal power. Of course, the animal is not on earth.

Florisa regained consciousness from her daydream. He sighed.

“How can I be here now?” florisa murmured after reminiscing about her journey when she first arrived on earth.

It has been almost 10 days count of the earth he separated from his country family. He could not meet his loved ones for an uncertain time. When should he be on Earth?  Recalling that, unknowingly tears had gathered in his eye sashes. Over time the water reaches the corner of the eye and drips close to the ear.

He misses his mother and father. Father and mother are of course worried if her daughter suddenly disappears without news. Father and mother who always advise him not to over-learn and work. Mother who always stroked her hair when she cried because of the burden of learning that felt heavy. The father who always drove him to the academy every new semester started.

Since he graduated from the academy and worked as a member of the security forces, he has only met his parents a few times. Only when he had a long holiday could he return to his hometown and bring gifts to his parents.

The days traversed on earth as Florisa— alien being— and as Chitra drained a lot of his energy. There's a lot of things he has to do. Seeking the truth of Chitra's accident, healing Chitra, searching for Vojiro's trail and capturing him. How long does it take for that? Florisa kept thinking about it until she was tired and fell asleep with her cell phone.

Lily was still in her service clothes going into Chitra's room after Florisa fell asleep. Florisa who fell asleep in the wrong position. His feet were half hanging at the end of the bed. Lily painstakingly tries to improve Florisa's sleeping position without waking her up. Then he took the blanket stored in the closet and enveloped Florisa with it.

Lily looked at Florisa's sleeping face. He recalled the incident during which Chitra lay unconscious in the hospital. He did nothing when he heard bad news about his daughter.

After getting a call from Chitra's homeroom teacher, Lily, who was out of town on business, hurried back. He arrived when Chitra was taken to the hospital. According to the school, Chitra fell in an accident. They promised to investigate the matter as soon as possible and hoped Lily would not involve the police or the media.

“How is it possible? My son was injured during a school event,” protested Lily did not accept the request.

“Bu Lily, We do not take our responsibility. We can finish well. Didn't we also cover up the violence Chitra committed? We had received complaints from other guardians because of the problems at that time. This is for our common good,” replied the vice principal.

There was a debate between Lily and the school. Lily finally gave up.

“Good. But if Chitra doesn't wake up until next week, I have no choice but to report this. Because we cannot compare that case with this case,” said Lily. So there was an agreement between Lily and the vice principal who was accompanied by several other people from the school in the cafe near the hospital.

Lily also did not really want to involve many parties. He knew it would trouble him. But he had no choice but to sue the school for their negligence if Chitra was not conscious.

Luckily, five days later Chitra awoke from her coma. Sadness mixed with the joy of Lily's feelings when she heard that Chitra lost her memory. Sad that her daughter had to temporarily forget her happy memories. Happy that Chitra can forget her bad memories. Even he hopes Chitra does not get back the memories that contain bad memories. But the feeling of pleasure is more dominant when he is recognized by Chitra who lost the memory of— played by Florisa.

“I was sad and panicked when the doctor declared you lost your memory. I'm afraid you've forgotten me as your mother. I am not a good mother. But it hurts so much to think that my own daughter doesn't recognize me as her mother. But all those feelings are gone when you recognize me right away. Mama promise will make you only remember happy things, Chitra,” inner Lily while caressing Florisa's hair.

White clouds were scattered under the bright pink sky. Under the cloudy sky, lay a field of brownish rumbut. On a stretch of brownish grass, erect a large tree with leaves that are light purple. Florisa pensively observed the tree. Then he looked at the environment around him. The environment he used to meet in his native place.

“Am I back?”
