Episode 13 - The Cuts of the Past-Pieces

As usual, the canteen is always crowded at lunchtime. Florisa and May have promised to have lunch together today. They chose the same place as yesterday.

“May, you know about what happened to me during camp?” ask Florisa on the sidelines to eat.

“O ...” May seemed to think. “I don't know much. All I know is that my brother fell from a height. At first people just found out that my brother disappeared when we were ready to go to sleep. It was a scene back then.”

Florisa just nodded her head in understanding hearing May's explanation.

“Oh yes, do you know you need information from me. Brother is actually popular at this school. Even sister's fight with Kak Shelina at that time was very uproarious,” explained May.

Florisa is interested in hearing May's story. So Chitra was involved in a fight with Shelina? But the girl acted as if nothing like that had ever happened when dealing with Florisa.

“Since then I like to watch out brother. Brother was really great. I don't know exactly what the problem is. But I heard it was related to the rumors that were spread about sister.” May continued her story.

“Rumors? What rumors, May?” Florisa's getting interested.

“Then I don't know brother, because the rumors spread when I haven't entered this school. That fight only happened when I went to this school to sign up.”

“What did Shelina do? Because of that fight? But, time is only because of that? Or is there another suspect?” inner Florisa.

“Sister, did you not wonder why I chose to side with you at that time, while many others blamed you?”

“You mean that fight?” Florisa made sure what May was talking about.

“Tadi was unthinkable anyway. Indeed why?”

May begins the story on the sidelines eating her lunch. He told Florisa how the condition he saw at that time. With this story, he hopes the girl he suspects Chitra can regain some of his memories.

The sky was bright and so was May's heart. He wanted to attend Harapan High School. This school is like giving him hope to restart his teenage life that was destroyed during Junior High School. So he took a walk in the school garden full of beautiful colors of blooming flowers.

May has just done a new student enrollment at this school. Although he has not yet bagged an Junior High diploma, he can already enroll. SMA Harapan selects new students based on student reports from semester 1 to semester 5 at Junior High School. May is confident that she can be a part of this school with a good report card.

While walking with a flowery heart, May jumped in shock when there was a commotion near the park. He tried to follow the steps of the students who were scattering towards the source of the commotion. Not far from her standing position, May could see the crowd of students.

Curiosity led his footsteps to the crowd of high school students. He is not the only Junior High student there actually. There were a few other Junior High students who also wanted to know what was going on inside that crowd.

“Chitra! What ...” There was a voice calling someone's name, but the next sentence was not clear. Looks like there's a fight.

“Yeah,” said a high school student who was also in the back of the crowd.

“What? Why?” ask someone new coming to one in the outer layer crowd.

“There was a fight. Girls.”

“She was rumored that time right?” ask the others.

“Iya. He attacked someone from his class.”

“Ngapain him? Find problems aja.”

“Hah? But it is not necessary to attack like that.”

“Indeed there is no morality. Lookie! The child was until it bled made.”

May listened to the conversations of some high school students who participated in the fight. He tried to peek into the crowd after one of the high school students called out to see what was happening. It was a pity that the crowd was too crowded, making May who was no taller than the high school students difficult to peek.

“Are they not friends?”

May is already in the crowd. He heard another conversation.

“But since the rumor circulated Chitra more often seen alone.”

“I heard he was excommunicated ever since. Maybe he got angry because of that and vented it to Shelina.”

“Ah, can be.”

“Wah, vicious once.”

Then there was the sound of screaming at each other. It seems the fight is getting heated up. Is no one gonna stop?

May kept trying to advance through every layer of students who witnessed the fight. Finally he reached the deepest layers of the crowd. He can watch a girl with long black hair paralyze someone trying to hold him down.

Looks like Chitra is a girl with long black hair. While someone who sat dumbstruck on the ground with blood flowing out of his nose was Shelina. Chitra who had been dragged away from Shelina came back and tried to grab the girl. Some female students confronted him. Chitra rebelled. His eyes lit up showing great anger.

“..., indeed your traitor. How can you do this, aargh ...” Chitra was still pointing her eyes and words at Shelina who was now sobbing.

“What the fuck are you Chit!”

Almost everyone on the stage of the fight uttered words condemning Chitra's actions. Especially those who tried to resist Chitra's power and tried to drag her away.

“Boy son please dong,” shouted one of the people holding Chitra. It seemed like he was overwhelmed to face Chitra who was in brutal mode. The scream was echoed by the others. They asked for help to stop Chitra.

After that cry for help, only then did some male students scatter into the stage. Chitra was dragged off stage. At the same time, a female student came with a teacher. The female student called out to the crowd of students to disperse. May, who was frightened, saw the sharp eyes of the student, went back to the right to leave the location.

Unlike the others, May chose to side with Chitra. In his eyes Chitra looked brave and strong. From the conversation he heard, he understood that Chitra had a reason to do that. Chitra was angry about something. It could have been because of his friend. As Chitra had said, Shelina had betrayed him. For May who was ostracized in her Junior High School, it was natural for Chitra to be so angry.

“Ah, so so.” Florisa felt grateful to May. Although the information from her was each cut into pieces, at least Florisa got a hint to investigate further.

“Oh yes May, do not have to be strong for others to stop bothering you. If you are not strong enough, just pretend to be strong, hahahaha.” Florisa tries to comfort May with her wise words.

Although the words of the entertainer Florisa not so wise, May still responded with a laugh.
