Chapter 22 - Surprise!! -

When satisfied with fantasizing and realizing something, Jeslyn went straight to the goal. In front of Kristan's office door, Jeslyn took a breath and exhaled. Prepare to talk to Kristan. When he was ready, he knocked on the door and after permission from Kristan he entered.

"Are you busy??" asked Jeslyn from the door,

"Ep? No, what's up?" reply Kristan relax,

"Let's talk about that 3 days ago" Jeslyn said,

"I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to upset you." Kristan said as she approached Jeslyn,

"Yourf..." Jeslyn sighed then explained about his life principle. After he finished explaining, he said goodbye to Kristan.

"I want to accompany?" ask Kristan, please,

"No need, you just focus your work. By the way, tomorrow I take a day off" Jeslyn replied,

"Why?" kristan asked worriedly,

"I want to go home today, tomorrow I have an event in my town, okay?" answer Jeslyn, please,

"OKAY. I'll come with you" Kristan replied as she tidied up her things, saying,

"No need to bother, you must be busy. Just do your job, bye" Jeslyn said with a smile and left.

"When I want to come along." murmured Kristan sadly. Jeslyn went straight home and prepared the clothes tomorrow, 1 hour later he finished and left immediately. He arrived at his town at 13:00 and was already at his house.

"Where's kristan son?" ask Jeslyn's father, please,

"Oh he's in Jakarta, I told him not to come. He must be busy so I don't allow him to come with me" Jeslyn replied,

"But he's your husband! On your birthday he is not present, not responsible for being a husband" said Jeslyn's stepmother,

"It's already!" said Jeslyn's father. After that Jeslyn went to arrange the event venue at the xxx restaurant while having lunch there as well.

"Emmm" Jeslyn just woke up. Jeslyn then went to take a shower and prepared to go to the restaurant. After she put on the set of clothes she had prepared yesterday, she went downstairs. White top with simple rumbaian and long sleeved, yellow box skirt, brown sling bag, cute red shoes, and red ribbon in her hair. Half-tied hair, sakura-scented perfume, and a burning spirit, Jeslyn was already impatient to meet the family of her biological mother.

By the way, the family that yesterday chatted with Jeslyn came from her mother's family. So Jeslyn just had a party with her mom's family. And, she said Jeslyn's birth mother had died when she was a child. Then her father remarried until Jeslyn had a mother and a half-brother. Jeslyn is relieved to be free from the torment of her stepmother, but also feels tight from being married to someone she does not love.

"Yes" replied Aunt May,

"Color haven't met for long? hahaha" Gilbert replied stiffly. Then they started chatting with the extended family, but soon someone came up with a large bouquet of flowers. A bouquet of roses appeared before Jeslyn, and she turned her head and saw who had sent it.

A man in shiny black shoes, navy white striped pants and jacket, clean white shirt and navy tie, handsome face and well-groomed hair. Kristan shows up and gives Jeslyn a bouquet of roses.

"A - what are you doing here?!" asked Jeslyn in shock,

"Happy birthday Jeslyn, may the more beautiful, the more successful things, the more successful in my career, can be my pride and family, be bestowed upon your provision. Amyn. Happy Birthday dear" continued Kristan and then kissed Jeslyn's forehead. Very sweet this couple, until the people around become envious and follow shame.

When opened, it turns out that the contents are a necklace with a heart-shaped red ruby, and behind it there is a carving of their name. Jeslyn and Kristan.

Jeslyn gawked at the necklace, feeling touched and shocked. Jeslyn liked the necklace so much, the beauty that emanated with the implied message made her not stop staring at the necklace.

"This is for me?!" ask Jeslyn, please,

"Yes" retorted Kristan. Jeslyn was shocked and very happy, she smiled her own smile while staring at the necklace. Kristan who saw Jeslyn smiling like that made her smile too.

"Alright" Jeslyn replied. Kristan pulled the necklace out of the box. Jeslyn began to untangle her hair to the side. Kristan began to wrap the necklace around Jeslyn's neck, connecting the two sides behind Jeslyn's neck. As Jeslyn turned around, Kristan was surprised to see the necklace on Jeslyn's neck. She looks so pretty with that necklace. The necklace looks very beautiful worn by Jeslyn, between the two collarbones of her neck, making Kristan swallow her saliva.

"Master?" call Gilbert, get Gilbert,

"Eh? What are you doing here?" kristan asked confusedly,

"I turned out to be the mistress' cousin, sir" replied Gilbert innocently,

"Koko, don't call madam. Call Jeslyn, I'm not good. Koko is older so I have to respect Koko" Jeslyn said,

"Huh?! You're Jeslyn's cousin's sister?!" kristan asked in shock.

"Yes sir" Gilbert replied with a smile,

"You don't have to be my secretary anymore" Kristan continued.

"What?! Why?!" asked Jeslyn and Gilbert simultaneously in shock,

"You're Jeslyn's cousin's sister means my cousin's sister, too. In your honor, I can't accept you being my secretary, so just how's the director?" kristan continued while raising her eyebrows. Jeslyn and Gilbert sighed, thinking Gilbert would be fired.

"Oh thanks, sir?" reply Gilbert,

"Call me by name, koko" Kristan replied and smiled. Gilbert replied with a smile and Jeslyn also smiled.

"Children come here! Let's start the candle-blown event" Aunt May. Everyone gathered at the big table and Jeslyn was at the front leading the table.

"All right I'm going to blow out the candle right now" Jeslyn said as she sighed,

"Make a wish dong~ first" said koko Jerome,

"Oh yes, hahaha" Jeslyn replied with a small laugh. He clenched his hands and began to pray.

"Oh my God.." Jeslyn's mind made a wish. After he finished praying, he took a deep breath and blew out the candle.

The candle went out and everyone applauded.

Jeslyn was happy while saying thank you. Then he picked up a knife and started cutting the cake. When finished cutting 1 piece of cake, there was a challenge from his uncle that made the look of Jeslyn's face arrived moody.

"Kristan, if you really love Jeslyn and you feel responsible as her husband, give your little wife a romantic kiss" said Uncle Jeslyn with a smile. The others agreed, cheering for Jeslyn and Kristan to kiss.

But they do not know the circumstances of Kristan and Jeslyn who actually married not because of love, but because of arranged marriage. Even Gilbert, who knew of their condition, even cheered the challenge. Will this challenge work?
