Chapter 1 - First meeting -

On a quiet Saturday afternoon, Jeslyn was enjoying a cup of tea with a snack of spelt cookies while reading her favorite book.

But his father arrived and said, "Jeslyn! Quickly go change your clothes and dress up as beautifully as possible. We have a special guest and you must attend!" his father said that he raised Jeslyn from the chair and told her to go into the room to prepare.

The confused Jeslyn did not have time to ask and after she realized she was already in her room, "huuhh??".

Without wasting any time, he immediately did what his father had told him. Twenty minutes later, she came out wearing a white striped sweater combined with an elegant pink dress.

"Dad why do I have to dress and dress pretty gini anyway? Which special guests would like to visit? Like a proposal." said Jeslyn scowling at her father.

"Iyaa~" his father replied with a smile. Then her father prepared cakes and drinks while smiling his own smile. Jeslyn was confused and unable to say the word seeing her father. Then he decided to just shut up and obey what his father said. Jeslyn from childhood is a submissive child, but if someone makes her upset, then she will not be a good girl who is submissive!

After that he went to the living room and saw that there were some people sitting there. He guessed that it must be his guest, but he did not know what to do. Suddenly his father appeared from behind and surprised him. Jeslyn was upset that her father had shocked her and almost shouted loudly.

His father told him to deliver a tray of cakes and drinks to the guests there. Jeslyn brought the tray to the guests. Despite her nervousness, Jeslyn tries to stay calm and natural. Slowly he approached the guest table and saw their faces.

As Jeslyn tried to see the faces of the guests, the guests turned their faces and looked at Jeslyn. Jeslyn was getting nervous but she kept trying to act natural while giving her most charming smile.

"Darkl! Dad said there'd be special guests coming, they must. I have to be very nice !" the inner word Jeslyn. Then he put the tray while trembling. "But why do I have to be shaking gini anyway ?? Aduuh. "continue inner Jeslyn confused.

"Chris, is she your daughter you're saying that?" ask a man who seems to be the same age as Jeslyn's father.

"Yes. This is my daughter who I love the most. He's the one I told you about." replied Jeslyn's father happily and proudly. Jeslyn smiled and greeted the guest

His uncle was Gabriel Wijaya and his wife was Jane Gloria Wijaya.

His first child was named Kristan Arthur Wijaya, his second son was named Jennifer Agatha Wijaya, his third son was named Rian Wijaya, his fourth son was named Valent Clarissa Wijaya.

Jeslyn and the other children smile at each other and Jeslyn and her father sit down. The conversation between the two families begins.

"Son... Actually I want to match you with Kristan, uncle Gabriel's son." said Jeslyn's father a little nervous. Instantly, the trembling and smiling Jeslyn changed. The smile on his face disappeared. He turned his face to his father and glared at his father.

Jeslyn stood up and said, "What do you mean? I don't like being matched! I can choose my own partner!" jeslyn said firmly and full of anger.

"Don't relax." said aunt Jane, uncle Gabriel's wife. Jeslyn looked at the people around the living room and sat back down. He tried to calm himself.

"Dad, Uncle, Aunt...I don't agree to be set up!" jeslyn said politely. Then they looked at each other with sad faces. Jeslyn turned his head and looked at the 4 children and they looked ordinary, especially Kristan. He had absolutely no reaction of shock or anger and instead seemed to have agreed to this matchmaking.

Jeslyn is confused due to the absence of rejection from Kristan. Jeslyn's father explains that they can be acquaintances first and date before marriage. But Jeslyn disagreed. There, Kristan opened her voice and said,

"Uncle, Dad, Mom... What if I just let myself talk to Jeslyn alone? I will persuade him." said Kristan calmly as if there was no burden. They agree, and Kristan invites Jeslyn to come out and have a chat. Jeslyn agrees to go out with Kristan, so she can say clearly about the match.

After arriving outside, the atmosphere was silent and awkward for a while. But then, Kristian started the conversation.

"Marry me" Kristan said calmly staring at Jeslyn.

Jeslyn was shocked to hear Kristan's words and was angry,

"Whatchu mean? Why did you accept this match? The point is, I don't want to marry -" said Jeslyn cut off because Kristan's index finger that touched her lips suddenly arrived, thus making her speechless.

"Don't tell me what's on your mind right now, think carefully. Because you could regret it in the future" whispered Kristan who made Jeslyn surprised.

"I want to marry you but in the form of a contract marriage. My goal is to marry you, not because I approve of our parents' opinions... Or because I love you. Except for another purpose. Since I'm using you then you can also use me. Therefore, you better accept this match because there will be many advantages in this matchmaking" Kristan explained with a serious face.

"Do you think of me as a toy? Do you think I'm stupid? Why should I marry you? Are you worthy of me?" jeslyn asked tested Kristan's patience while grinning.
