EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE IS BLIND

EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE IS BLIND
40. You are My Wife and Forever Mine

Dalvin was just delivering a passenger, suddenly his phone rang. He looked at the screen of his phone located in front of him.

"Doctor Sony?"

Dalvin immediately pressed the bluetooth headset hanging from his ear to answer the phone.

"Jiang, Doc..." Say hello to Dalvin with a heart pounding. Suddenly his face turned happy when he heard the words of the Sony doctor from across.

"This patient is young. He had an accident a few days ago and had bleeding in the brain. The patient's family has been sincere, and they are willing to donate the cornea of the patient's eye to the needy." Obviously Sony's doctor.

Dalvin, on the other hand, is saddened after hearing the story of Sony's doctor. He knows very well how hurt the heart of the patient's family today because it has lost one of its family members.

"May I see the patient's family first, Doc...?" Pinta Dalvin's. His voice sounded hoarse withstanding the pain in his heart.

"Of course you can, sir... The patient's parents are still in the hospital waiting for him... The patient's body will also be discharged later tonight after all the business is done..." Answer the Sony doctor.

After the call ended, Dalvin immediately drove his car to the hospital. He was very grateful to the donor family who had volunteered to give permission.

Arriving at the hospital Dalvin directly to see the doctor Sony to ask for help to be reunited with the patient's family. He does not understand his feelings mixed between happiness and grief.

Happy that soon his wife will be able to see, and grieve for the family of the donor their child has left behind.

"Our son is only twenty-two years old... He was a good boy and loved to help people... So, we thought that if we donated his organs, he would be happy in heaven..." The story of the donor's mother with tears, while her husband continued to gently rub his shoulders.

Dalvin repeatedly blinked his wet eyes. He could not bear to hear the words of the mother who looked stoic despite losing her son forever.

He looked at the stiff face lying before him with a feeling of guilt. This was not what he expected, but in reality this was indeed an opportunity for Soraya to be able to see again.

"Allow me to repay you one day, ma'am... At least consider me the son of Mother and Father, because my biological mother also died a long time ago..." Dalvin said with love and sincerity.

The mother looked at Dalvin with a smile, then she threw herself into Dalvin's arms and cried out.

****

Dalvin pondered in his car. He kept thinking about the donor's body.

"If the accident had made me die like him, maybe the story would have been different... God, thank you for giving me a chance..." Dalvin said as he turned his head to the ceiling of the car. Her chest of kempis held tight.

He drove his car home to pick up Soraya.

Dalvin was so emotional, that when he got home, he hugged Soraya tightly.

"What's wrong?" Soraya asked in surprise.

"Let me hold you for a moment, Sora..." Dalvin Lirih. His eyes crystallized because of the sobbing.

"But, is everything okay?" Soraya asked increasingly curious.

"Ma.mmm..." Dalvin nodded. He began to disentangle his embrace, but Soraya's fingers were instead held back. He looked at Soraya's face with love and a thumping chest.

"I have some good news for you..." Dalvin said with a hoarse voice.

"What's that?"

"In a moment, you will be able to see, Sora... There are eyes for you... You will soon be free of this darkness..." Dalvin was so happy.

Soraya was stunned for a moment, then her lips began to sing a smile. "really?"

"Yes, Sora..." Dalvin hugged Soraya. "Are you happy?"

"Ma.mmm..." Soraya nodded. "I'm very happy..."

"What's wrong? Why don't you even look so excited?" Ask Dalvin gently.

"If I could see later, would you still protect me? Will you never leave me alone?" Soraya asked with an anxious look.

"There's no reason for me to leave you, Sora... You are my wife, and forever mine..." Strictly Dalvin while bending the back neck of Soraya.

Soraya smiled again. He slowly touched Dalvin's chest and then hugged him. "Thank you, Vin... I don't know what I would be without you..."

Dalvin leads Soraya to sit on the sofa. He stroked Soraya's hair while looking at her face.

"Actually the Sony doctor had told me something before, but I've only dared to ask now." Dalvin said.

"Regard what?"

"You've been to that hospital before, and Sony's doctor has been very unhappy with your face, Sora..." Dalvin was hesitant.

"Light Partner Hospital?" Guess Soraya.

"Not... The Alaskan Hospital..." Dalvin said quickly.

"The Alaskan hospital?" Soraya seemed to think for a moment, then suddenly she was dumbfounded.

"What did the doctor say?" Ask Soraya quickly.

"You've come there to save someone..." Dalvin

Soraya.

"The doctor was wrong... I'm just trying to take responsibility for the mistakes I made... I was about to make someone's life go by because of my carelessness..." Soraya sounded bitter.

"That's not your fault at all, Sora... That someone is careless... He's driving fast, and he almost hurt you..." Denying Dalvin.

"Stay, that time I was in a hurry to meet Rio to the hospital... He did not return in the time he promised, so I was anxious and immediately followed him to Mitra Cahaya hospital... But on the road, I made the mistake of crossing over incautiously... I'm panicking..." Clearly Soraya was shedding tears.

"Okay, if that's how you feel... Why worry about others? It should be after you make sure that the person is okay, you can just leave right?" Urge Dalvin to be upset. Upset at knowing his wife was so perfect because of her kindness.

"You even choose to endure blindness, and let others enjoy the eyes of your own beloved..." Dalvin tried to hide his jealousy.

"Rio's a good guy... Anyone must be so lucky to have him..." Soraya.

Dalvin is increasingly hurt by his feelings of jealousy, but he still persists to say nothing.

"It would be hard for me to let go if I really was Rio's lover... But Rio and I only knew him a few days before he died..." Soraya made Dalvin's forehead shrivel in wonder.

"You-you mean?"

"Yes... Rio and I have absolutely nothing to do... Not a couple, nor a couple... Our meeting just happened to be at Mitra Cahaya hospital... He's a good man..."

Dalvin was still speechless staring at Soraya to hear further explanation from his wife about his relationship with Rio.
