Xue He did not know what to do. It had been over a month that he was looking for Yuan Lu's whereabouts but still did not bring any results. It was frustrating and wanted to give up. Two days ago, his father came home and talked about marriage.

That marriage was Yuan Lu's dream. Her girl was eager to be introduced to her family, but how could she do that if Yuan Lu was not known where she was. Guilt was also tucked into his heart.

Had he granted Yuan Lu's request in the first place, could it be that fate would have gone well?

"God, where is Yuan Lu now?" muttered.

He thought he would have to find Yuan Lu soon or he would be betrothed to Alexa. A nightmare that will always haunt her life for marrying a woman she does not love.

Xue He was resting his body on the sofa, his eyes almost closed but the sound of knocking on the door made him re-open his eyes. He saw one of the waiters coming while holding the phone.

"Young Master, there's a call from Mr. Rui" the maid said giving a phone call.

Xue He simply smiled and sent his servant out of his personal reading room.

"What's up, Rui?"

[Rui: Are you free? May meet?]

"important? I'm going to your house now." Xue He instantly turned off his phone before getting an answer from Rui.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" asked Xue He without further ado. He doesn't want to spend his time on something unimportant.

Rui sipped her hot coffee. "Stop Yuan Lu's search."

Xue He flinched in dislike. "What do you mean?"

"He's been found."

Xue He's face was instantly as crisp as. "really? When did you find him?"

"One week ago."

Xue He flinched. It had been that long Rui knew of Yuan Lu's whereabouts, but he had only told her now.

"Why did you just tell me? You know I'm worried about her situation!" furious Xue He. He was really upset with Rui.

"You should forget about Yuan Lu." Again Rui said something Xue He did not want to hear.

"Don't joke! What do you mean I should forget about it? I desperately searched for Yuan Lu!" furious Xue He.

"I'm not kidding."

"Then what do you mean say that?"

Rui only snorted then laughed softly while receiving Xue He's anger. His heart was amused as well at the same time. Why is he angry when he himself has incised a wound in the heart of his cousin's sister.

Starting from the events of the night when they came home dating. Yuan Lu locked himself in the room all night. Then the request to be introduced to his parents but not granted, and what annoyed him the most was the incident of Xue He's kiss in the hospital that kept Yuan Lu silent a thousand words at home.

Then after all that happened Yuan Lu went to Japan but unexpected events took away all his memories except for his brother, Zhu. Only one person remembered him.

Remembering all the events that made Rui upset to the point of wanting to hit the face of the person who was gripping his shirt. How ignorant she was of Xue He, but she instead acted as if she was the one who hurt the most.

Rui thanked his men who had been following his cousin's sister while going out. He came to know how rotten Rui was who could not keep Yuan Lu's heart.

"Forget Yuan Lu," Rui said once again. His face looked so serious when he said that.

"Don't just talk. How can I forget the people I love!" press Xue He did not accept.

Rui started to grow furious and returned Xue He's grip. "Before you say love him, ask him your heart first, do you really love him or do you just pity?"

Xue He relaxed his grip. He did not understand the meaning of Rui's words. Pity Yuan Lu in what way? All this time he loved Yuan Lu very much and was willing to do anything for his lover.

"You remember what happened two years ago, don't you, Xue He? How Yuan Lu chased after you during that time even he ventured to declare his love first. Your age is seven years. Not to mention your attitude that was too cold to make him heartbroken many times."

"That's the past, Rui. What to remember!" furious Xue He.

"Then I can also say if your relationship yesterday was the past!" he snapped at Xue He's arm, "Yuan Lu is already injured!"

Unstable emotions made Xue He even more furious to the point of making him punch Rui in the face until he fell down. "Fuck!"

Xue He left the Rui residence with a chaotic feeling. He would continue to look for her because he did not want to lose Yuan Lu again.
