The Long Night

Glenda's anger was not without reason. She did not want her husband to fuss with her sister's cousin's husband. After dinner, Glenda invites Darsh to return to her room.

"Darling, why are you acting like that?" husband's protest.

"Because I don't want you guys to make a fuss."

"Come on, he's just sensitive to our romanticism."

Darsh wants to get out of this house. He thought it would be fun, it turned out to be boring.

"You're bored, huh?" ask Glenda.

Darsh nodded. "I thought it would be easy living in your twin grandma house. In fact I even met an astral being."

Glenda looked towards her husband. Both are in the same bed. This room is usually occupied by Glenda when visiting here.

"There are no ghosts here. You may have seen it wrong, dear." Glenda clasped her husband's hand tightly. She switched to leaning on her husband's field chest.

"Don't you see it?"

"Snack."

Darsh just smiles. The astral creature in question is Zack. He suddenly came and asked her to fight.

"Darsh, don't tell me that astral creature is Aquarabella's sister's husband."

"Savvy. I think I want to go home soon because of his presence here."

The conversation that was supposed to occur between a husband and wife, suddenly stopped. Someone knocked on his bedroom door.

"I open it first." Glenda got out of bed and opened the door. He saw Willow there. "What's wrong?"

"Grandma Jelita has arrived. He's looking for you."

"Where is Aquarabella?"

"Go to the hospital. Sean called her just now. I don't know what happened to the grandma there."

Glenda quickly came out followed by her husband trailing behind. They went straight into Jelita's grandma room.

The old woman was lying on her bed. Looks pale and tired.

"Grandma from where?" ask Glenda.

"From the hospital, Glenda. How are you, son?"

"good. How's Grandma at the hospital?"

"Jenica is critical." Tears began to run down the old woman's cheeks.

"Why is grandma crying?"

"I'll be back alone. Jenica has given me a new life. If he leaves me, I can't live alone."

Glenda hugged grandma Jelita. Willow, who was there, was sad to see him. The old woman who had been close to him all this time.

"Grandma don't worry. Willow wants to take care of the grandma" Willow proposes. The old woman had not seen him for a long time.

"Willow, come. You are also my grandson. It feels like in my old days I need this kind of peace."

All three cuddle. It felt like an immeasurable privilege for the old lady. All of his grandchildren are grown-ups. Drowning in an embrace, this immeasurable happiness becomes the end of an old woman's long life. Jelita breathed her last breath. Both Glenda and Willow are unaware that Jelita's grandma is dead.

"Darling, grandma closed her eyes." Darsh helps bring down the old woman. He checked his pulse and breathing. There was no breathing and his pulse stopped. "Grandma died."

The deg!

Everyone in the house was shocked. Glenda crying. And Willow too. Owen then invited his wife to go into the room and calm down. While Glenda was busy telling her Om to go home soon. Though the condition of Jenica's grandma is critical, even grandma Jelita who left them.

Before long, Sean and his son-in-law had arrived. Sean immediately asked the waiter to call the person who usually takes care of the funeral. While Glenda told her mother to come here. She couldn't have told her mother-in-law that there were still two babies to watch.

"Om, how's Grandma Jenica doing?" glenda asked while in the living room.

"Mama coma. Apparently after taking the medicine, he fell asleep and did not wake up again." Sean looks very sad.

"Om don't worry. I told mommy to come soon. It's probably tomorrow afternoon before the new night gets here" Glenda explained.

Although Glenda knew that grandma Jelita was not her mommy's biological mother, but the middle-aged woman had once lived together.

"Thank you" Sean replied.

The atmosphere of the twin grandma house suddenly crowded. Many funeral attendants and some servants who prepare all the funeral needs.

"Om, when is Jelita's grandma funeral?" ask Darsh.

"Tomorrow morning, Darsh. You better rest. You're the one who's going to pick up your in-laws at the airport tomorrow?"

"Yes, Om. I can't sleep tonight. Glenda continued to cry over her grandmama's departure. He's also not stopping to pray for Jenica's grandma."

Before long, Zack and Owen joined in. The arrival of the two people just made a quiet atmosphere. They were silent while looking at the passers-by starting to diminish. The night was getting late, the four men were in their respective minds.

"Darsh, should the grandma funeral be held tomorrow morning? I mean Om, without waiting for your in-laws. Om scared that grandma Jenica we just left it. Even if Om had told a confidant to stand guard there."

Darsh doesn't know what to answer. Actually the decision was in Sean's hands and not on him.

"Sorry, Om. It's not my right to decide. Better talk to the family. I'm going to see my wife first." Darsh feels bad for his son-in-law Om Sean.

Darsh and Owen prefer to go into his room. Glenda sat staring at the window that was accidentally opened.

"Am I also going to lose Jenica's grandma like you lost?" glenda said, aware of her husband's presence.

"Darling, nothing is eternal in this world. Losing grandma is not the end of everything. We have to keep getting up. Believe me, after losing, we must have got something valuable. We're trained to be more patient." Darsh has experienced. While Glenda, even though her Grandpa died a long time ago, she was still unborn and could not feel the true meaning of loss.

"You're not gonna leave me like a grandma, are you?" Glenda looked at her husband. Darsh is not. He approached his wife and then kissed her forehead. Just hold her hands tightly. He crouched down because his wife was sitting in a chair.

"We'll never know when that love and destiny will come, Glenda. As long as we are still breathing, we better enjoy this togetherness quite well. I think you understand what I mean."

Yes, everything about destiny is written for him. Throughout the course of life, as long as everything is fine, the meaning of loss will slowly fade over time. Replaced another happiness like his daughter's present son. It is a source of happiness after suffering. The parents who are still complete are also the source of untold happiness.

"We'll go hand in hand, Darsh. The kids need us, don't they?"

"You're right, honey."

Going through a long night of loss is not easy. Although Jelita is not her mommy biological parents, but Glenda also loves her grandma like Jenica's grandma.
