Duplicate Daddy

Duplicate Daddy
Romantic Side Darsh

After JJ's wedding, all the family members are at the dinner table. A new family member was there, Justin. The atmosphere of the dinner became awkward as some people tried to tease Justin and Jillian.

"Jill, do you want to go straight home or do you want to be here for a few days?" ask Kayana.

Jillian turned to her husband for approval. Justin still wants to be in his country of residence.

"Ehm, we're here first, Mom," he replied.

"Do you want to stay in this house or in a hotel? Usually the newlyweds have special privacy that no one wants to disturb" Felix said.

"Ehm, I've been together with Justin's brother, Dad."

The dinner atmosphere was different. All the laughter is getting more visible here. Only, Darsh and Glenda still look stiff. Because after marriage, let alone the wedding reception, the honeymoon is not on the agenda. They were like statues at the dinner table. Both of them focused on their food.

Everyone who was there was complaining about Justin's romantic attitude. Darsh feels excluded when it comes to romantic attitudes. He only has 10 to 20 percent. Feeling left out, Darsh stands up to return to his room.

"Good night everyone, Darsh said he should go to bed first" he said.

Glenda felt bad to stay there. Want to follow her husband to the room, the impression is haughty. While staying there with the chat he didn't understand, for what? After all, everyone is discussing the honeymoon and plans to appoint Justin to be CEO of Damarion Corporation. That means, Justin officially resigned from the company DD Corporation which is now held by Darsh, her husband.

"Sorry, Glenda said goodbye first. Sorry everyone," said Glenda.

"Rest, dear!," said Olivia.

After the death of her daughter-in-law, Olivia continued the conversation with her sister-in-law, her husband, and some people who were still there.

"How, Jill? Are you going on a honeymoon to T? The atmosphere is beautiful and nice there. As Aunty knew, Glenda's twin grandmas were also there." Olivia recalls her daughter-in-law's story about Jelita and Jenica who ended up living together.

"Well, Aunt Jelita is there too!" exclaim Kayana. She remembers how her best friend Callista had to work hard against the perfectionist woman. Apparently he's harboring a sad past.

"Yes, Kay. Long time no news, the two have been living together. While Sean and his family are still near you."

"Sean must be busy. He always does" said Dizon.

"Sister, Sean's brother is like that. After all, at Glenda's sudden wedding, she took the time to be a witness."

"Dad, I miss Callista. Why doesn't he just show up in front of me?" Kayana reminisces about her past with her closest friend.

"There may be a special reason why Sean's sister's family is avoiding us, Mom. However, I also don't know what it is."

The adult chatter made Justin and Jillian uncomfortable to follow. It feels like what his parents say together with other families makes him not understand.

"Mom, Jill and Brother Justin to the room first, yeah. Please continue the conversation!"

"Justin will talk again, Auntie. Don't worry!" justin finally said. He is still unfamiliar with the Darsh family as well as Jillian's parents. That's why when Jillian invited Justin in, it was a good decision.

...🍒🍒🍒...

In Darsh's room, Glenda had already caught up and was sitting on the bed. Pregnant women are very quiet. She didn't know what to say to her husband.

"Glenda, why are you quiet?" Darsh sat right next to his wife.

"What am I supposed to say, Darsh. We don't have as much time as Jillian. In fact, have you ever invited me to just go on a honeymoon?" Glenda stood towards the window. The pregnant woman opened her curtains to look at the beautiful night sky. "Is there any chance for us?"

Darsh stands. He approached his wife and stood right beside her. He also looked far ahead to start something new and had never lived.

"Glenda, I'm sorry. As long as we're together, I've never made you happy. What do you want now?"

"I want us to stay some time away from the urban hustle and bustle. I want to stay in the village for a while. Maybe it's a good place for us to start something new there."

Darsh disagrees. Especially in a moment Glenda will give birth. Of course, he needs the support of his closest people, including his parents. If Glenda asks for a place away from the crowd, it means that Darsh will leave his job and his family.

"Darling, you're giving birth soon. How could we possibly live in a village so far away from family?"

For the first time Darsh refused his wife's request. Not without reason. Life in the village will obviously be much more complicated than in the city. Darsh was astonished, what kind of life did his wife want until the pregnant woman invited him to go to the village?

"Darsh, I'm tired of living here. I know you're busy, but do you remember me? I've been patient enough, Darsh. Our finances are much more than enough, and then you still have to work?" Not that Glenda forbade her husband to work, but because of his work, she rarely paid more attention to him.

"You're jealous of my work?"

"I'm not jealous of that, I just need to be taken care of like Justin is watching Jillian. Honestly, it's not that I envy what Jillian has right now, but I envy the warmth of Justin's attitude towards Jillian. It was like watching a romantic movie." Glenda began to venture to demand what she wanted.

Darsh took a deep breath and then exhaled. He realized his difficulty to be romantic. In fact, sometimes his job forgets his wife for days. Darsh did tell, it was just a short message about the meeting or something.

Darsh pulls his wife's hand and then taps her back. This is the first time I have done it after a few months of marriage.

"I'm sorry. I will try to be the man with the romantic side you want to be. Again, sorry for ignoring me."

Darsh releases his wife's hand. He crouched down to chat for a while with his son who was in his wife's stomach.

"Hey, Boy! Forgive Daddy, yes. Once you're grown up, Daddy promises to take you to stay where your Mommy wants you to be. Remind Daddy if you forget!" Darsh kisses his wife's stomach and then strokes her so that the baby kicks. Sure enough, just touched like that with his sweet promises, the baby responds well.

"Darsh, that means they agree." Glenda just this time can smile happily at her husband's attitude. It's so fun to watch like this.

"We wait for our children to get a little bigger, after that I will take you to all the places you want. I'm sorry."
