~Man is a creature that has feelings. He will be challenged with his own ego.~
♥♥♥
The creature that had a dark cloud-like body smiled sinisterly, he had a pair of blood-red eyes. A terrible smile was imprinted on his face. He does not have a body like a living creature. Just a black wisp of smoke.
However, over time his form changed like a drucless man. He walked over to the two frightened women.
"Come alone to me."
"We're just cleaning ourselves up in this river" Trissya said, looking down in fear.
Several soldiers came and formed a formation to protect the queen and princess Zeroun. They give a warning to the mysterious creature not to approach.
However, all of a sudden those soldiers turned to ashes. Trissya closed the eyes of Laureen who saw the incident directly.
That horrible laugh came out of his mouth, "I'll take over your bodies!"
Trissya protected Laureen behind her back. Suddenly the creature was already in front of Trissya. The woman was scared. It was very curious that he ran away from the drucless-like creature in front of him. However, what power. His body could not be moved because of fear.
"Ah, you're human apparently." The creature clawed at Trissya's arm, making the woman scream in pain. Fresh blood flowed from the wound.
Laureen was terrified to see it. He could do nothing to help his mother.
The man pulled Trissya's arm and inhaled the scent of the flowing blood.
"The scent of life is smelled from here. How can a human like you be in a drucless world."
It's gonna get into Trissya's body. However, before the creature actually entered Trissya's body, the creature's body was suddenly thrown away.
Trissya turned to Laureen whose eye color had turned dark yellow. Trissya trembled in fear seeing the cold expression from the face of her little princess.
In fact, it seemed like Laureen was more terrifying than the creature. A strong wind suddenly came and protected the two of them.
That's Laureen's power.
Coughing, the creature rose to stare intently at Laureen.
"What strength is this?! The curse?!"
Laureen pointed her palm at the creature. Suddenly the creature was burned by a blaze that came out of nowhere. Laureen didn't do it. He looked at the figure standing not far away from them.
Trissya also turned her head, it was Daeriel who came. Both of his hands were filled with fire. The man burned the alien.
The color of the Laureen's eyes changes normally. The little girl fell in Trissya's arms. Daeriel approached them immediately.
The creature was still screaming in pain from being burned by Daeriel's fire. The creature turned into smoke as before with bright red eyes.
"Hahaha, you can't kill me! I will repay you. But, there's no need. The little girl had a curse in her body. He's gonna destroy you!"
The voice disappeared, along with the creature's departure. Daeriel clenched his hands furiously.
Trissya digested those words. He looked down at the unconscious Laureen in his arms.
Daeriel takes Trissya and Laureen back to the palace. At the palace, Daeriel is angry at Trissya.
"Why did you bring Laureen to that place! Why are you leaving without me!"
Trissya lowered her head, she did not dare to let out her voice. He was afraid of Daeriel.
"If I hadn't come in time, you would have been dead! My daughter must be dead!"
Daeriel turned to Trissya. The woman immediately lowered her head to avoid eye contact with her husband.
"You have bad intentions, huh? You want Laureen dead?!"
Trissya shook her head as she looked at Daeriel, "No, I really love her. I've taken her like my own daughter."
Daeriel clutching Trissya's arm. The woman grimaced, as Daeriel gripped the wound made by the creature earlier.
"You lied! You must want revenge, right?!" Jerk Daeriel. Trissya shook her head quickly, "I mean it. You can read my mind!"
"Then why did you go there without me! The forest is very dangerous, especially at night!" Daeriel snapped while pushing his wife.
Trissya tried to reply, "I just want her to come into contact with the holy water. I don't want him to be okay. Is holy water the source of life for the drucless?"
Daeriel furrowed his brows, "Laureen doesn't need that! Qwella's mother is a waterbender. Laureen has water in her body. Laureen won't lose energy just because it doesn't come into contact with holy water."
Trissya lowered her head, "Sorry, I don't know."
"Yes, you don't know anything. You're not his mother." Daeriel screeched while turning his back to Trissya.
The woman was hurt by Daeriel's words. Though he had tried to love Laureen, even though the little girl in not his son. Laureen is the son of a ruthless killer who has taken away Trissya's happiness.
Daeriel spoke again, "There is a curse embedded in my daughter's body. I saw him angry at the creature that hurt you earlier. He wants to protect you with his cursed power. Your presence by his side makes Laureen show his evil side. I don't want this to happen."
Daeriel turned to Trissya. They stared at each other for a moment, before Trissya who turned her eyes the other way.
"You love Laureen?" Ask Daeriel. Trissya looked at the man then nodded quickly.
"Don't approach him again. You must return to the human world. I'll take you away from here" Daeriel said in a cold tone. Both Trissya's eyes widened.
He was desperate to return to the human world to avoid Daeriel. But, for some reason hearing Daeriel's words today, made him sad.
He did not want to part from Laureen. For now, Laureen is the reason for being a mother. Laureen is the reason for forgetting the bad events that Daeriel has done.
Trissya. The woman held Daeriel's hand while crying, "Don't do this. Please, I don't want to part with Laureen. Ii'm sorry. I promise I won't get him in trouble. I beg you, I have long wanted to have a beautiful daughter like Laureen. I don't want to lose him."
Daeriel brushed off Trissya's hand and turned her back to the woman. A sly smile was engraved on the lips of the man. Victory is in his hands now. The cruel man used Trissya's kindness for his own sake.
"Then, you should stay here and do everything I want. Including carrying out your duties as a wife" Daeriel said.
Trissya was surprised by Daeriel's words. The man really wanted to put him in prison with an invisible holding cell.
The woman breathed a heavy sigh. Daeriel approaches Trissya. He changed the color of his eyes to red. A drucless seal anchored in Trissya's neck appeared. Trissya is not flinching.
"You really love Laureen. But, why is Raefal always on your mind! She's been dead a long time, and you still wish you were with her?!" Daeriel's shout made Trissya shocked as well as scared.
Daeriel's eye color became deep red. Trissya's two eyes turned out to be similar in color to Daeriel's. The woman felt her head hurt. He covered his ears while shouting loudly.
Daeriel was still staring at him sharply without feeling the slightest pity. Trissya sat on the floor and grabbed her own hair as if that way, the pain would disappear.
"You can only love me! Not with another man!" Jerk Daeriel. Fresh blood flowed from Trissya's ears making her white clothes stained with the blood.
Daeriel's left eye also let out blood flowing down her cheek. The man seemed to be trying to control Trissya's mind.
Trissya stopped crying. The woman froze and fell silent with a blank look. Daeriel wiped the blood that did not stop flowing from his eyes. He walked over to his wife. The man wiped the blood on the woman's ears and neck.
The man pulled Trissya's chin.
Their views meet. Trissya was looking at it. However, both of his eyes were staring blankly.
"Who is the man you love the most?" Ask Daeriel. Trissya looked at the man while smiling wryly, "Just you."
Daeriel smiled triumphantly, "Good, I love you too."
Daeriel got up, but Trissya grabbed her husband's hand and asked, "Where are you going, Raefal?"
Daeriel. His hands clenched with anger. Even though she was already in control of Trissya's mind, the woman kept thinking about Raefal.
Daeriel pushed his wife onto the bed and crushed her violently. Trissya grimaced while holding Daeriel's chest.
They look at each other. What Trissya saw, the man in front of her was Raefal. Not Daeriel.
"Well, it doesn't matter if you consider me Raefal." Daeriel smiled triumphantly.
"Raefal!"
~
The sun appeared with its fading color in the drucless world. The day has come. Yes, as is known. The drucless world knows no morning.
Daeriel opened his eyes. He sensed Trissya's whereabouts being in his arms. Blankets covered their innocent bodies.
He looked at that beautiful face while sleeping.
Daeriel remembered last night's incident. They make love with romantics. However, Trissya did not stop calling Raefal's name. The woman considers herself Raefal.
He's very disappointed.
Daeriel let go of his embrace and left Trissya who was still asleep in her sleep.
The man went to see Geross. He was talking about a creature last night that almost injured Trissya and Laureen near a sacred river.
"That's why living things hide when night falls. They were afraid of meeting such a terrifying creature." Geross stared straight at the green hilltop in front of him.
Daeriel snorted dejectedly, "The wound in Trissya's arm is already treated. Wouldn't that make it all right?"
"The injury will not cause any problems. The creature that injured queen Natrissya wanted to possess the body of the queen for a certain purpose."
"What is that creature? Why would he be able to live near the drucless? I felt their strength was immense," Daeriel asked ending with an opinion.
Geross seemed to think, "I don't know, because since childhood, we are forbidden to go near the holy river at night. It's still a mystery."
"Alright, I have to go back to the palace."
Meanwhile, Trissya who had woken up felt confused. He touched his sick head. The woman remembers what happened last night. Daeriel controls Trissya's innermost thoughts in order to love her.
But, why was he now able to escape from Daeriel's strongest control?
Trissya remembered something. He touched his chest. There's Raefal's diamond in there that might always protect him.
"Raefal, I'm sorry I didn't see you right away. I feel like my life means a little more to Laureen. I'm very sad, because I lost Aerilyn. But, there's a Laureen here. At least I feel recognized as a mother by a child" Trissya said.
Suddenly the door of the room opened. Trissya turned her head while confirming the blanket, it was Laureen who came. The little girl smiled cheerfully as she ran over to Trissya.
"Mom, why are you so late?" Laureen asked as she climbed onto the bed. He threw his body onto Trissya's thigh covered in a blanket.
"Mom don't wear clothes?" Laureen asked confusedly. Trissya chuckled confusedly, "Mother wants to take a shower."
It's a fucking Daeril, Trissya's inner scream.
Trissya recalled the words of the creature that attacked her yesterday. The woman felt sad and anxious when she heard that her daughter had a curse. Moreover Daeriel justifies it.
Trissya is very worried about Laureen. He had not expected, a girl as innocent as Laureen had a curse. Once the man who cursed him. It was only fitting that no one would dare to approach Laureen, because of the curse.
Trissya will never leave Laureen, despite the curse embedded within her.
Laureen looked at her mother seriously. Trissya cupped her daughter's round cheeks.
"Why, Honey?" Ask Trissya. Laureen seemed to think, "Dad pelnah said, that mother is human. So, what's that man?"
Trissya lifted Laureen's body into her lap. The woman whispered into her daughter's ear.
"Humans are living beings who have lives. They live in a human world that changes every day, there is day, afternoon, night, and morning. Every day they do activities, like breakfast, go to work, go back home and get together with the family."
Laureen digested Trissya's speech. He asked again, "Dad said, humans are evil and scary."
Trissya shook her head, "No, humans aren't like that. They don't have powers like the drucless. They live in peace."
"Can't you, Laueen's playing into the human world?" Laureen asked as she melted her head into Trissya's blanket-covered chest. Trissya kissed her daughter's cheek, "The human world and the drucless world are separate. No alien should be in a world that's not his place."
Laureen looked at Trissya, "But, Mom's not going home, is she?"
Trissya seemed confused by Laureen's ambiguous remarks.
Laureen smiled as she hugged Trissya, "Laueen loves Mom."
Trissya laughed as she kissed the top of her daughter's head, "Mother also loves Laureen."
"Mom, can Laueen ask for something?" Ask the little girl. Trissya nodded, "Yes, dear."
"Laueen doesn't have a playmate. Laueen wants to have a sack."
Trissya was surprised by her daughter's request. Trissya said, "There's a mother here who nemenin Laureen."
"But, Laueen also wants to have a sibling. We play together."
Trissya simply smiled in response to Laureen's words. The little girl didn't just tell Trissya. He also told his father that he wanted to have a younger brother. Daeriel does not mind.
However, Daeriel did not see any signs of pregnancy in his wife. Some of the healers who handled it said, if Trissya would not be able to conceive.
Laureen is sad. That means, he will still be Zeroun's only child.
Daeriel realized that this was all because of his actions that forced the Raefal seal from Trissya's body at that time.
Trissya didn't bother about that. During Laureen's time with him, Trissya felt comfortable.
~
The day passed quickly. Laureen has grown into a mature girl. She's so beautiful like Qwella.
His brownish-black hair dangled hugging his waist. His slender body walked gracefully. A pair of round and large eyes combined with a pointed nose and thin pink lips.
Laureen is respected by her people. However, that respect just hid their fear with the curse that was inside of princess Zeroun.
So far, nothing bad has happened made by Princess Laureen. The girl did grow up to be a kind-hearted daughter as the only child of Daeriel and Trissya. Both of her parents made the girl grow up to be a kind daughter.
A meeting requires Trissya to be present with Daeriel. Yes, as a queen, there was nothing else she had to do but obey the wishes of the king.
Trissya obeyed Daeriel's will since the man was about to separate her from Laureen. However, Trissya's feelings still remained the same.
His love was only for Raefal, and his hatred was only for Daeriel.
"We will discuss this further later" said king Gerald. Daeriel nodded, "Sure."
Laureen walked outside the meeting room. However, the kings and queens could see it from the window. The girl in the red dress looked so beautiful and graceful. Who can distract from it.
"Your daughter is very beautiful, she is growing well" said queen Amelda. Daeriel smiled happily at the compliment.
"I'm really amazed at you for raising her so well. He is very much loved by his people. Even my people know his name" said king Alexander.
Daeriel nodded his head in response to the words of king Alexander. Trissya smiled at the compliment.
"She will be a good queen after you" said king Xavier. The other king nodded.
"May the curse that is in him disappear. Wouldn't that hurt you?" Said the king of Devaan with a cold expression.
The man's words made the kings and queens turn to him.
Trissya turned her head dislike towards the man. Daeriel also felt offended by the speech of the king of Devaan. However, Daeriel tried to hold back his emotions, because the kings who were there were very powerful kings who cooperated with him. He can't act recklessly.
"The curse is not good for a young girl like her. You've already lost it, haven't you?" Ask Devaan again with a cynical smile. Not without reason, the man had once liked Qwella before the woman knew Raefal and Daeriel. But Qwella chose to be with Raefal and then with Daeriel.
That was the reason for Devaan's attitude that showed her dislike towards Daeriel and Laureen. The king and queen looked at each other.
Trissya turned to her husband who seemed to have no intention of responding to the words of king Devaan.
"Ah, what a pity. Even you don't seem to care about your daughter. Your mother is also a mother..."
Trissya snatched, "The curse does not exist in this world. I don't believe in curses. If my daughter was cursed, something bad might have happened a long time ago. But nothing happened, right?"
King Devaan scolded, "In the human world there is indeed no power like this. So, how do you know."
Trissya was deeply offended. It was true that only he was a human in the room. But, the words of the king of Devaan seemed to want to bring down their family.
"This meeting is for government affairs. It's not personal, is it?" Tanya Trissya sarcasm. Devaan was a little annoyed by the words of the queen of Zeroun.
"It seems you love King Daeriel so much that you keep defending him in front of us. You feel jealous of the late queen Qwella?" The words of King Devaan end with a question.
Trissya. He had no intention of defending Daeriel. He just wants to defend his daughter, Laureen.
Trissya will let out the rest of her anger. However, Daeriel clasped his wife's hand, so as not to serve the man.
After the meeting was over, Trissya was saddened by what people thought of her daughter. Trissya recalls the old incident, in which Laureen fought a strange creature with her wind power. Trissya knew the curse did exist.
However, as a mother, she tried to calm her heart. Try to pull over if it's all true.
Daeriel entered the living room where Trissya was. The man walked over to the woman. Trissya has yet to realize Daeriel's whereabouts.
Gently, Daeriel clasped Trissya's body from behind. The woman looked up at her husband's face. Daeriel kept her chin in the recess of Trissya's neck while tightly closing her eyes. Trissya looked straight back at the window.
Daeriel whispered softly, "I know, you weren't defending me. But, you're defending Laureen. You're so worried about him. Thank you." Thank you."
Silent.
There was no response.
"Either how many hundred years we've been together in the drucless world. But your feelings are still the same. Don't you really want to change your feelings?" Ask Daeriel.
"You already know my answer. The only reason I'm with you is one, Laureen. There's no other reason. So don't ask the same question every year" Trissya said.
Daeriel opened his eyes. He kissed Trissya's ear lobe, "Why are you so stubborn? I'm tired of your attitude."
Trissya knitted her brows.
"But I never get tired of your body. I love this body," Daeriel rubbed Trissya's arm and continued down into the woman's stomach, "the human body is indeed voluptuous. I can't turn away from you. I don't know, what power you have, so I can be interested in just having two sleeps with you."
Trissya felt Daeriel's hand towards her thigh. The woman immediately turned to look at her husband.
"You should be able to make the king of Devaan shut up. The man is outrageous and has no shame" Trissya said. Daeriel frowned, Trissya's words clearly did not connect with their discussion.
You want to switch the conversation, huh? You are stubborn, inner Daeriel.
"What do I have to say? The more you serve him, the more insolent he becomes. Let the kings and queens judge his personality."
"Damn, that she's talking about my daughter. It's a fucking drucless like he knows what?" Grouse Trissya.
Daeriel touches Trissya's lips, "Ah, don't keep swearing. Your lips are dirty. I have to clean it up."
Daeriel brought her face closer to kiss Trissya's lips. However, the woman held her husband's chest.
"What do you want?!"
"I want to sleep with you."
Trissya was looking for an excuse, "It's still noon. Don't fuck around!"
"Why indeed? There's no rule that prohibits a drucless man from touching his own wife during the day."
Daeriel kissed his wife's lips without hearing a rebuttal. Trissya had absolutely no intention of reciprocating her husband's romantic treatment. He just kept quiet.
Daeriel gave up her kiss and asked, "Why don't you ever welcome me when I want your body?"
Trissya did not answer. He chose silence without even wanting to see Daeriel's face.
"Hard-headed."
