Happy weekend and enjoy the night of the week geeesss 🤗😘
....
"So when are you planning to get married?" the sudden question asked by Grandpa Ahmad almost made two people sitting next to each other almost choke from drinking. Who else if not Deni and Dina. They seem to be misquired about it.
Now they are all gathering at the dinner table after finishing breakfast on this sunny Saturday. There is no awkwardness between all of them. They all blend in like their own families. Even Deni and Revan are no longer reluctant to throw the sometimes crisp guyonan.
The atmosphere immediately turned silent after getting the unexpected questions from the owner of the house.
"Yes. When are you planning to get married? No need to wait to graduate first" added Aunt Rini spirit.
"Ma, I haven't worked" Deni said slowly hoping the mother understood. Not that he was not ready, it's just that Deni was a little shy with the Dina family. Yesterday I was in bed, uh the next morning we talked about marriage. As if he was not just impatient. And yes, not very patient. Wanting to quickly tie the girl beside him to be halal for him. Making Dina the only woman who deserves all her heart, herself, and her whole life.
"No need for work. You must be able to support Dina with your caffe business" Om Pras raised his voice. It seemed that the middle-aged man also agreed with the wife's proposal.
Dina who just knew that Deni had the effort, could only be silent while occasionally glancing towards Deni who was beside him.
"Let me explain" whispered Deni slowly. Dina replied with a nod of her head. Again and again, he felt very far away from Deni even though it was now side by side. The man was full of surprises, and every surprise of his success made a Dina feel nothing.
"What about you, Din? Are you willing to get married while you're in college?" Aunt Rini asked as she looked expectantly at the only girl who was there.
Before giving an answer, Dina glanced at Deni first. Deni looked a little tense waiting for an answer from Dina. "Dina followed what was best for Dina aja Ma" replied Dina with a sweet smile towards Aunt Rini.
Now it was Deni's turn to be taken aback by Dina's call to the Mama. Since when did this girl call her Mama the same as her?
"Yes, you .." whispered Deni at once stopped as Dina shook her head slowly, a sign of not asking about it for now. Timing is not right. Deni again silenced and glanced at the Mama who already looked sparkling in her face.
"That means you agree, dear, that the wedding is coming soon?" Dina nodded confidently when once again Aunt Rini asked her readiness. Dina was convinced that her choice this time was the best choice for her. Why delay the good stuff, right?
"Bismillah, Dina is ready Ma" he replied steadily. And all those who were there said Alhamdulillah. Don't forget the loudest voice of everyone there, is Deni's voice. The handsome man spoke most vigorously while clenching his hands into the air. The people who saw him could only chuckle softly while shaking their heads.
Deni's hand gripped tightly one hand Dina. He was too happy to hear the girl next to him.
Don't forget to remind Deni to gift Dina later. The girl should get something special.
"Duh, I can't wait to be your daughter-in-law in our family Din" Aunt Rini said no less happy than the child, Deni. The middle-aged woman had long wanted a daughter-in-law in her family. And eventually it will all be soon. And what makes him most happy is, his future son-in-law is the daughter of his own best friend, Teguh and Wulan. Old man Dina.
"That's very happy, Ma's face. Defeating the happiness of Bang Deni" Revan chirps that had been just silent without a sound listening to everything discussed by the adult. Not that he was immature, just that the discussion this time was not his realm. He is too lay if he participates in the topic of discussion. But if asked how he thinks, he certainly expressed what he thinks is best.
"For example, if I was your daughter. Mama will be so happy also when she heard Bang Deni want to marry?" ask Revan on a whim. He just wants to know how his mom responds.
"hey are. What can be expected of you? Even though you are a woman, surely her nature will not be much different from you now. Ngeselin and hard to say" replied Aunt Rini who was too relaxed. It was successful to make the look of Revan's face turned into a bete. Angga and Dila who had just been silent could only shake their heads to see the behavior of the family in front of him.
"Mama iihhh's. Be tired of it. Marriage pen too" chirped the original Revan. It was successful in inviting laughter from everyone at the dinner table.
"When can this good thing be done?" asked Grandpa Ahmad after the situation calmed down. Although Revan looks still bete, but he also seems excited about this problem.
"How about two more months? Two months is enough to prepare everything. Isn't it Om, Tan?" Angga gave his proposal. Then glance at Aunt Rini and Om Pras alternately.
"It's not good to postpone good things like this. Fear will happen slander as well. Moreover, Dina settled in the same place as Deni. It is not good to be seen by others. Although nothing happened, but who knows the contents of the human head. They are free to argue anything, according to what they see and what they know" said Angga at length give his input. "I'm sorry if it sounds patronizing" continued Angga felt bad also with the words that were thrown.Â
"It's okay Son Angga. Your input really makes Om realize something. All this time Om was not very aware of this. Even Om does not know, whether Dina ever get bad treatment from our home environment and so on" Om Pras glanced at Dina. The worried look and guilt were clearly visible from the middle-aged man's eyes and facial features.
"No Om. Dina never got that bad treatment. The people there are good with Dina. Om don't feel guilty then, ehe" Dina said with a soothing smile. It is true that it is. During his stay at Deni's house, Dina never received bad treatment from the surrounding environment. People are very open with new people. In fact many of them yearya Dina is one of the family far Om Pras. So, no problem at all all this time.
"Good, if you're okay. Later if there is anything, do not hesitate to say the same Om yes Nak. Don't hesitate to tell a story. Think of this Om and Aunt like your own family and parents" pinta Om Pras smiled with relief.
Dina nodded her head many times in response to the request of her future father-in-law. Duh, very happy she is well received in the family of her future husband.
"So what do you think Pras? Is two months too soon?" ask Grandpa Ahmad again. His gaze was facing fully towards Om Pras.
"It's not fast, sir, in my opinion. Let's ask the kids first. Because that will take them both. What about you guys?" pause for a moment, Om Pras turned to Deni and then to Dina.
"Bang Deni would have agreed Pa, he. Don't do it anymore. Even getting married tomorrow will not refuse. But do not know the same Kak Dina, mending Kak Dina think again for the same marriage Bang Deni. Don't be sorry Kak later" cut Revan quickly before Deni gives a response. Revan looked seriously at Dina. But the girl just kept quiet while giggling slowly.
"Ck, shut up!" deni said quickly. His face looked at Revan cynically. What the fuck is that boy? Just piss off. Deni's self-esteem falls in the hands of his own sister. Even that in front of his future-in-law's family. My sister has no morals at all. Kan Deni is ashamed.
"I'm hanging Dina aja Kek, Pa. If Dina is ready for another two months, I'm ready too" she replied at last.
