Aline POV
I woke up from my deep sleep as I felt the vibrations around my feet. Yeah, I always put HP around my feet when I sleep. Of course it was on Bang Cris' orders. So, according to Bang Cris, it is better than putting it beside the thigh-head or on the nightstand which is only a few inches from the head when we sleep, or even under a pillow. "That's dangerous!" As soon as Bang Cris warned me first. The danger of HP radiation to the health of the body can be minimized in this way. At least, the radiation is not very strong on the internal organs that are important. However, turning off HP during sleep is even better. In addition to saving the life of the HP, it can also improve the quality of sleep, so as not to be disturbed as I currently feel.
However, in this day and age, where can the human being far and away from HP. HP has become a basic necessity. Bringing the far away closer. Also for emergency purposes as I experienced tonight.
My HP shook and kicked again. Kuraih then saw the name of the caller. Ms. Hanum, the neighbor in my contract. What's the need to call this dawn?
"Assalamu'alaikum, Ma'am." I greet with a hoarse voice typical of people waking up while waiting for his life to regroup into my body.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, Lin. Sori nih Mbak disturb night-night. That's. anu Lin. Ma'am instead of trying to scare you," he said that nothing has scared me first.
"What are you afraid of, Ma'am?" this time with full awareness. My life I pulled forcefully back into the body. A danger alarm was burning in my head.
"That, about half an hour ago Mas Firman woke me up to the bathroom, like hearing there was a car noise outside, but ignored the same Mas Firmannya. It's just that feeling is not good. Then, just now Mas Firman definitely again, ngintipin that through the window curtain. Mas Firman see there is a man in your porch chair, Lin, again sitting down to his head on the terrace table that is, just how not to move ten minutes as well," clearly at length with a squeaking sound about the chronology experienced by her husband. Of course this story makes my hair stand up auto. I pulled out the blanket, and then I put it on my body. I like it the least when this is the story.
"Don't you know, Hanum Ma'am how's it going? Duuuh, why am I a parno gini huh Ma'am?" I shuddered in horror, grasping tightly onto the blanket so that no one would suddenly pull it, when I was clearly alone at home.
"What am I supposed to do, Ma'am? I dare not walk out the window. That's why Miss Hanum shouldn't tell me this!" My voice shakes, my voice shrinks, scared.
"Eh, that's sorry, Lin. Ma'am told Mas Firman to tell you it's not for scaring, but for you to be vigilant. This is you know, Mas Firman wants to swipe outside. It's again looking for a wooden block in the back, make a weapon just in case the person is malicious. You got standby near the door. If there is anything, seek help immediately. Mbak is afraid of going to faint first," he gave instructions.
"I. yeah, Ma'am. I'll change clothes first. It's just pajamas. Just stop, Mommy!" my door. How could I refuse, when I was so afraid. But, they've been willing to kiss for me that's very grateful. Inevitably, I got out of my blanket, changed my pajamas to a more appropriate home shirt, then I missed calling back Ms. Hanum to code that I was ready.
I heard the door open. Peering from the window of the room, Mas Firman came out with a block of wood in his right hand, followed by Madam Hanum who brought teflon to hold her head. Then I walked towards the living room. Waiting aba-aba.
There was the voice of Mas Firman calling out to the man he said earlier. I peeked at them from behind the living room curtains. The man stuck his hands on the porch table. His body felt familiar. I saw Mas Firman shaking the body of the foreign man while calling out. But he did not manage to wake her. He raised the head of the uninvited guest, and how surprised I was to see the man as my superior. His face was battered, full of bruises and his clothes were also shabby.
I'll open the door soon. "Fat out, Lin!" said the Word as soon as I approached. "This is Mr. Eagle, Mas. My boss is in the office" I said, citing the identity of the unconscious man on my porch. Firman and his wife breathed a sigh of relief.
Me and Ms. Hanum have surrounded Mr. Eagle. The Word is still trying to wake him up.
"Where is this, Mas?" ask Ms. Hanum to her husband.
"We take it inside first. This bad, all bonyok, seems to have been ganged up." Mas Firman immediately took the cue to uphold the body of Mr. Eagle.
"You have an empty room inside, Lin?" tanyakanya.
"Puu anyway, Mas. But who's here?" manybloon.
"Where else do you want? It's your boss. While this is. Let's get help first, then we will be taken to the clinic. Just fainted. Thank goodness I got here just the stings. Try fainting on the street again drive. Poor car is good if it reaches the blisters," he said. I looked at the car parked outside the fence. Not the car he used to wear. I just saw the car this time. It's a nice car. Ah, ignore the car. Focus on the person.
"Ih, Mas don't talk too much, I'm afraid of it" said Ms. Hanum, reprimanding her husband. The only thing that is reprimanded is grimace.
"Yes deh Mas. Take it to the back room! There's a bed right there," I said before they went into the house.
Our contract is of the same size and model. It's just that if Mas Firman's house and four other houses face north, while my house faces east.
Mas Firman carried the body of Mr. Eagle with great difficulty to the back room. This back room I use more often for work. Only equipped with singlebed and a small closet that blends with the work desk that I usually use to work at home. Still quite comfortable if you want to use it to sleep and rest. Lately I've been sleeping here more often because I'm tired of doing the work at RCA that I brought home.
Mas Firman laid Mr. Eagle on the bed. He asked me to get eucalyptus oil and perfume, stinging odors to stimulate the consciousness of my unconscious superiors. The clock still shows at 01.34 am.
Meanwhile, Ms. Hanum and I made a warm drink for us because the air tonight was really cold. Why did Mr Eagle even come here and sleep on the porch? Why not just wake me up? Did he faint? Who ganged him up? A lot of questions are running through my head right now but I'm ignoring them.
Almost ten minutes later, Mr. Eagle was conscious, but he was still not fully aware, probably due to the many blows he received, seen from the bonyok-bonyok on his face.
"Lin, I'll go back. Let your boss rest first! Then just compress the bruise with ice water!" he said he gave me instructions. "Hanum let's accompany you here. After dawn, come back, Dik!" he said he got a nod from his wife.
"Yes, Mas. Later I also want to take it to the clinic or to the hospital so I can get further treatment. Thanks a lot, Mas. I'm sorry for having this morning-body gummy."
The man nodded and left my house. I'm taking care of Mr. Eagle's dirty clothes. Madam Hanum covered her mouth with her hands, she yawned, clearly still looking sleepy.
"Bak Hanum if you want to sleep again no papa, Ma'am. Sleep in my room! I want to settle this first, just as compress the bruises," I said feeling bad because it disturbed the sleep of my neighbor. He nodded and then headed towards my room. I put Mr. Eagle's dirty clothes into the basket, then followed Ms. Hanum to the room. Get her a new blanket and get back into my routine for a third of the night.
After that, while compressing the bruises of this man, I opened a job at a restaurant that I deliberately brought home because my time was drained for overtime at the office. Mother had forbidden to bring this job, but I felt this was my responsibility, so I forced to do it at home. After dawn, I intend to make breakfast for Madam Hanum and her family, as my thanks to them.
I looked back when I heard a groaning sound from the bed next to me. Immediately I approached the man who looked apprehensive. "Daddy want a drink?" I said as I picked up the glass of water I put on the desk. He's nodding. I helped him sit down and I offered him a drink. After that, I went back to compress the bruises on his face. He's back to sleep. For a moment I remembered the figure of the man I helped a few months ago. "May she be well" I prayed to her in my heart.
After the dawn prayer, I woke Ms. Hanum. "In a moment," he answered, disinclined to force him to wake up. I went into the kitchen and started making spices and making breakfast. Sometimes I peek at Mr. Eagle who is still asleep and moaning occasionally in his sleep.
Ms. Hanum was about to leave when I restrained her under the pretext of waiting for a cooked breakfast in a moment. He refused, but nodded at the end because I said I made a lot for all of us.
After Hanum's departure, I left my door half open. I went in and woke up Mr. Eagle. He groaned in pain at that moment. However, duty is still obligation. He still has to pray at dawn. So I helped him to sit down so he could stay and pray.
I prepared the grits for Mr. Eagle. I don't know what to cook for her. Said the Mbok porridge is quick to recover energy and make it easy too.
"Thank you" he said as I gave him a bowl of grits. I just nodded, didn't want to ask and meddled too much. I'm still upset with him because he gave me days of overtime for no apparent reason.
He had trouble eating his porridge. I can't bear to, I finally took back the bowl and I fed him.
"Enak" he praised as soon as a spoon entered his mouth. He's like trouble chewing. Must be his body feeling boneless now.
"Say the Mbok, the grits quickly recover energy," I said. We were silent with our thoughts, no more conversation until the porridge.
I was just about to move on as he continued his sentence. "Thank you for helping me. Sorry to disturb your calm last night" he said sincerely.
I broke my intention of leaving him. "Not only me, but you also disturb the peace of my neighbors. Mas Firman and his wife last night who found the Father on the porch and helped bring the Father here, I will tell them later." I purposely mentioned that he knew that his actions disturbed many people.
He's nodding.
"After this I take you to the clinic or RS so you can get further treatment" I said. "Last night I was just compressing with ice water. Afraid of internal injuries" I said, a little concerned about his condition. He just nodded obediently. He moved uncomfortably. I'm sure the bones must have been crumbling dimly by now.
We were in the RS long enough. Mr. Eagle asked for a thorough check and all visa. I'm sure he knew the man who had the gouging and probably wanted to get him on the legal track. I kept quiet, still reluctant to ask. I'm sure he'll tell me himself if this matter is worth telling.
After the hospital, I drove him to his parents' house. Even though he refused and asked to be delivered to his apartment, I still forced to deliver it to his parents' house. He doesn't like it, but cares a lot. I can't let him be alone in his apartment in this situation. However, he's my boss, the company still needs him.
Right now we are stopping because the red light is on. So far, no one has started a conversation. We both fell silent until he cleared his throat.
"Thank you" she said to me, who I call. I'm still focused on the steering. Yes, I am currently driving this luxury car, precisely being the driver. He sat on the bench next to me.
"Thank you for helping me again" he continued. This time I looked at her with a questionable look.
He breathed and threw it away slowly. "Yep, thank you for helping me again" he repeated. "You remember the man you helped a few months ago, who was being ganged up not far from your contract? That's me!" He looked at me clingy.
I'm speechless. I glanced at him with my tail. "Two times ganged up? Hobbies or something?" I don't know why that line just jumped off my lips. Getting upset itself. Didn't know that the man whose face I didn't recognize was himself.
And he chuckled at my words making me even more upset.
