Not felt, three months Aline has become part of the marketing division. Today is Monday. He just entered Rahman's room, HRD Manager.
"Good morning, Aline."
"Good morning, sir."
"How were your days in the Marketing division? Any obstacles?"
"There must be a constraint, sir. But Thank God everything can be overcome well thanks to the help and guidance of other team members," replied Aline diplomatically.
"Goodoo. I got a positive report on your performance."
"Thank you, sir."
"You're welcome. I'm glad to hear it." Mr. Rahman then sipped his coffee. Silent moment. Aline waited for what her HRD manager would say even though she could already guess why she was called that morning.
"You know why I called you today" he continued.
"It seems, sir."
"good. Then we'll just go to the point! We should have talked about this last week. As you know, Nita extended her lifespan for the week. And because Ms. Mira still needs you, that's why I just called you today" he explained at length. The middle-aged man paused for a moment to catch his breath. While Aline, he is still faithfully waiting for the continuation of his fate.
"There are two divisions that are currently lacking members. Engineering and Planning Division and Accounting Division. I want you to determine which division you think can make you give the maximum contribution to the company. I know you have potential in both areas. However, I ask you to choose one of the two divisions for you to explore your potential even better. I give it three days. On Thursday, you can meet me at the same time to give me an answer. Can you understand my request?"
"Can, sir."
"Well, there will be my staff who send emails about the two divisions. Hopefully it can help you make a choice."
"Okay, sir, thank you."
"Yes already. That's all I want to say. You can go back to your room. Don't forget to give me the answer on Thursday."
"Good Sir. Then, excuse me. Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumsalam."
Aline immediately left the HRD room. He ran after the elevator that was about to close. But it was too late and had to wait again. Aline continued to pay attention to the number that indicated the existence of the elevator, without her noticing someone staring at her earlier.
After the elevator stops, Aline and the person enter the same elevator with a different destination. The man looked at Aline. But he hesitated to say hello until the elevator stopped on the floor he was headed, the floor where the Engineering and Planning Division was located. Arya, the man's name, was still staring at the elevator carrying the girl he had admired a long time ago.
Aline walked lightly towards her cubicle. It looked like Mira was waiting there with a restless and agitated face. He knew where the girl was going. Mr. Rahman called Aline through him. However, right now he desperately needed Aline. So, he had to wait at Aline's desk.
"Aline, I need a quarterly report. Sorry if it was sudden. The CEO requested a quarterly report of the entire division to be discussed at the meeting this afternoon. Please do it immediately. Two more hours leave it to me because the meeting will start at 10:30" he said as soon as the person he was waiting for was right in front of him.
The middle-aged woman passed leaving Aline's cubicle because she herself had to prepare some files to discuss at the meeting later. This was beyond his prediction. Next week's scheduled meeting was accelerated due to the request of their CEO, Erlangga Eka Atmaja. Nita should have made that report. But since the woman was still on leave, so inevitably she had to hand it over to Aline and hope that the girl could be relied upon at a time like this.
Aline entered his cubicle, turned on his computer which he had not done before and began to finish the report requested by his superior. Aline has worked on most of those reports. All the data has been collected since a few days ago, but he has not been able to input all. Now just enter the numbers alone then all will be programmed yourself complete with charts. Before long, Aline was done with the report requested by her superior. Then he read it again. After being sure, he then prints and moves his softcopy into a flash. Yes, Aline had expected a request for a quarterly report. Maybe Nita or Mira's mom didn't tell him at the beginning because they thought that Nita should be back at work. In fact, Nita's vacation period added a few days because her first child was admitted to the Hospital because of DHF.
Aline knocked on the door of her superior's room. Miss Mira let that girl in.
"Do you have a problem with the report, Aline?" he still focused on the computer in front of him.
"No, really, ma'am. I'd like to submit the report you requested."
Mira's finger stopped in mid-air as she pressed the keyboard keys. He looked at Aline in disbelief. How could this girl prepare a report in just a few minutes? He took off his glasses and focused on the sweet girl in front of him.
"This is the print out and this is the softcopy, ma'am." Aline handed over a bundle of reports and a flash.
Miss Mira received a report from Aline's hand. Then he read the report. How astonished he was to know the report Aline made was in accordance with his expectations. Complete with charts of their achievements in these three months. Mira stared in amazement at Aline, as if asking "Cock can?"
"Can I help you again, ma'am?"
Bu Mira just shook her head still with a half-confused face.
"Hhmmm, then excuse me, ma'am," said Aline, ignoring the silent question of his superior.
Bu Mira nodded but remained silent in her position until the girl came out of her room.
Aline went back to her desk. Then he checked the email. It turns out there was an incoming message from Rahman's staff. The email contained a company profile, and a profile of two divisions mentioned by Mr. Rahman earlier. Aline began to scan the computer screen, carefully reading each sentence. He had enough to read until the sound of Mira in front of his cubicle broke his concentration.
"Lin, I'm going to a meeting first. If someone is looking for me, just ask for his contact number, I'll call back!" said it.
"Good, Mom."
"Oh yes, I ordered lunch 2 packages. Yes, yes, Lin. One pack for you, the other one just put it on my desk."
"But I've got provisions, ma'am."
"Yes, you just take the food home. Then I go upstairs (meeting room) first," he said passed leaving Aline and all marketing staff.
After the death of Ms. Mira, the atmosphere of the marketing division room became violent instantly. Some of the women began to gather to form groups of 3-4 people in one cubicle. Of course to exchange information alias gossip.
While the men, start mabar (playing together) on their smartphones. Aline bobbing head. They were like schoolchildren who had just learned of the empty hour because of the teachers' sudden meeting.
Aline moved from her cubicle to the pantry. The email from HRD was finished. He made a cup of tea and took it to the rooftop, his favorite place at a time when there was no work like this. Fifteen minutes later, Aline returned to his room and began to finish whatever he could.
