Degrees of My House
CHAPTER 99

🌹HAPPY READING🌹

Three Years Later.

In a tall building, the fifty-fourth floor, a handsome man gazed far ahead enjoying the morning atmosphere of the Metropolitan city packed with passing vehicles. It's been three years, but the search has not yielded any results. Every way he did to know the existence of the woman who always filled his heart and mind. A great regret he felt.

His mistakes and foolishness hurt many feelings, sacrificing many hearts. His hand moved to take a small photo that he always carried with him everywhere.

"Where are you? Why is it so hard to find your whereabouts? Is your hatred so great that it won't allow me to see you even from afar? I miss you" he said gently swiping the photo. There was a little water in the corner of his eye every time he saw the photo.

"Where's al, son? Why never come to Abi's dream just once? Does Al never miss Abi?" he turned to a little boy in the photo.

Yes, he is Ibra. A man who for his folly must wound his son and his wife. Ever since Dee and Al left, Ibra has become a quieter person. Time is used only for work and work. Every way he does to find Dee and Al. But his efforts were always in vain. There was really no clue he got. He's found every place Dee and Al could go. But nil, Ibra still did not find it. Dee was very intent on leaving Ibra.

Alan, Kevin, Agam and Wijaya have also mobilized energy and also his men. But their efforts have not borne fruit. But Ibra is not desperate, he still does his business doing the search for Dee and Al.

While being engrossed in his daydream, the door of Ibra's room opened.

"Abi," called a small voice to Ibra. Ibra turned around and saw a girl who was two years old.

Slowly Ibra walked up to him. Ibra rests on her knees to align her body with the child. "Hi, Honey. Who's here?" ibra asked while confirming the little boy's hair that looked a little messy.

"Sama Buna, Abi," the little boy replied with a lisp.

"Where does the mother go now?" ask Ibra.

The boy's face turned sullen hearing Ibra's question. "Buna is with Dad again" he replied annoyed.

Ibra laughed at the boy's reply. His outstretched hand rubbed the soft cheek gently. "Don't be angry, Mother and Father again miss both. Dad just returned from Turkey" replied Ibra gave understanding to the little girl.

"Yes, Abi" the little girl replied.

"Yes already. Now Ara Nemenin Abi's working, huh?" ibra said as she stood up and walked behind the little girl to help push her wheelchair.

"OK, Abi," Ara replied happily.

It was Zahra Thalita. Son of Sofia and Ibra. From birth, Zahra suffered paralysis of her legs. This is only when Sofia realized Zahra was one year old, but the child was not yet able to stand. And when examined his son to the Doctor, it turns out Zahra had paralysis from birth.

After Zahra's birth, Ibra dropped the talaq on Sofia. Ibra did not care about Sofia at all during her pregnancy. Even at birth, Ibra did not accompany Sofia. But there is a surprising thing, Kevin was the one who accompanied Sofia during the process of Zahra's birth. Six months after Zahra's birth, Kevin married Sofia. I don't know if there is any wind that the man put feelings until finally ventured to marry Sofia.

Sofia initially rejects Kevin's good intentions, but due to Kevin's efforts to convince her, Sofia accepts Kevin until they get married. Ibra doesn't mind that at all. He was happy with Kevin's decision.

In the same office but in a different room, the couple was sitting together enjoying their togetherness.

"Mas Kevin," call Sofia.

"Yes" replied Kevin.

"What about Dee Al, huh?" sofia asked with teary eyes. The regret still lingers in his heart.

Kevin took Sofia into his arms. "We pray, yes. Now I, Agam, Alan and Ibra are still looking for Dee. Hopefully as soon as we meet Dee," said Kevin rubbed soft back Sofia.

"God is fair, Mom. Because of the selfishness of Abah and I, Zahra had to accept everything. While all the children were walking cheerfully, my son had to sit in a wheelchair" Sofia said.

May wherever you are, you always be happy. Al, Uncle misses. Inner Ibra screamed to miss her best friend's son who was like his own son. There's a little clear fluid in the corner of Kevin's eye when he remembers Al. If not for their carelessness, surely Al would not have been affected by this magnitude.

.....

While in other places, a little girl with hair that had come out of her hijab was cool to follow the strains of Islamic songs played by Uminya while making abstract shapes from clay.

"Manamanana, manana auwaakum. Taifa maa hubbukum taifa maa. Mananamanana, manana auwaakum. Taifa maa hubbukum Taifa maa ahwaakum, "the slurred voice follows the lyrics of the song Man Ana played by the mother.

"Adek, that's the wrong lyrics," the mother scolded the mother who heard her son sing.

"Hehe, it's Adek's hug, Umi," replied the little girl.

The mother only shook her head to see the behavior of her child. While being engrossed in his activities, a seven-year-old boy came to them.

"Assalamu'alaikum" he said as he entered the shop.

"Waalaikumsalam" answered the mother.

"Alaikumcalam," replied the little girl in her slurred manner.

"New fly home?" ask the mother to her child.

"Yes, Umi. At school you have to picket first" replied the boy.

"Scent bandage. Andi used to come here again," said the little girl mocked her brother.

"It doesn't smell, yeah. The adek stinks. His hands are so dirty. Iiih there must be worms," replied Si Abang with a face of disgust pointing at his sister's hand.

The little girl's eyes were already glazed because it was in the ledek of her brother. "No worms, Deck. Brother was just kidding. Now Adek continued to make his craft," said the mother persuaded her son. Because if the child cries, it may not be quiet all night.

"Al change clothes first, yeah. After that eat. Umi was ready to eat at the dinner table" said the mother to her son.

Dutifully the boy nodded and immediately went out of the figure. His feet stepped next to the shop where his house was.

Yeah, that little family is Dee, Al and a little girl that Dee gave birth to two years ago. Al is now seven years old. He grew up to be a smart and handsome boy. The little girl was only two years old. His name is Sakinah Salsabila. Dee and Al used to call her Kina. Kina grew up to be a little girl with a cute face. It looks like Dee. It was just his lips that took a little of his father's genes.

Thanks to his efforts and hard work, Dee now has a ceramic craft business with twenty employees. At least it can help his life and his children.

Al became a very understanding child. When Dee tells him what really happened between him and Ibra, Al is initially very angry and inhabits Dee. But because he could not bear to see Uminya who continued to cry because of her attitude, Al could understand. And he did not ask again when his Abinya would come home.

There was a bit of disappointment in Al's heart to his Abinya. Al is not a child to be fooled, he is an adult with circumstances that force him to understand circumstances. So do not be surprised, if he has a very sensitive feeling towards Uminya.
