If he accepts Reynal's offer then his life is no longer completely free as well he has a bad premonition if the Youth becomes his master. It was possible that Reynal would do something bad to his guild.

Reynal also just returned after the two agreed, the young man looks very beaming in the series and is also very happy with the results he got. Embert soon learns that his new master has managed to get what he wants.
