106. Brian III

Reynal gave Brian five gold coins as a wage and did not forget a bag of food and water. Brian looked very happy and immediately ran home to feed his father at home.

Reynal had learned that Brian's father was a reluctant element swordsman in the Zein kingdom of his time. Brian tells that his father got the wrong enemy while doing a mission and finally he had to be expelled from the capital of Zein Kingdom.

Brian's adoptive father Rider Fire eventually retired and worked as a guard on one of the city's wealthiest merchants. From there Brian's first encounter with his adoptive father Rider Fire comes to Rider Fire saving Brian from an assassination attempt.

“Dad I came home” Brian ran into his house, his face looks happy. He did not expect to get food today because he had been with his father for three days without food.

“Brian from anywhere you?” a middle-aged man was lying limp on the bed. Brian approached the man and fed him with the food he got from Reynal.

“Daddy, it looks like your illness is getting worse. Better we go check in the treatment hall, paternity problems do not have to worry” Brian looked at the man who turned out to be Rider Fire, his adoptive father.

“From where you got that kind of money, I told you never to use your power to steal” Rider Fire was surprised by the five gold pieces that were in Brian's palm. His tone contained anger as well as sadness.

“Daddy just relax, Brian does not steal.” Brian then explains what happened to him with Reynaal. The look on Rider Fire's face changed at certain events, such as when Reynal easily gave Brian food on the street and gave five gold pieces as a guide wage.

Rider Fire realizes that Reynal has learned of his family's circumstances and wants to help them. Rider Fire then told Brian to accompany Rider Fire to meet Reynal to say thank you after Brian finished telling the story.

“Daddy just rest” Brian gave a blanket to his adoptive father then began to clean up his house that looks messy.

On the other hand, Reynal smiled satisfied to see the happiness of father and son in a small hut house in front of him. He pulled out two boxes of food that would have been enough for Brian and Rider Fire's dinner.

After putting down the food box, Reynal returned to his inn. Sometimes he gave money to every beggar he met or gave them a box of food.

“First when father was not divorced with mother, the family's financial condition was very bad. I as the eldest child also helped ease the family's economic condition until finally the father's business can return to great success.”

“I still remember when I had to bash my bones to help my dad become a clothes washer. Nino and I go home from school to pick up trash with mom to weigh.” Reynal smiled but his heart was deeply saddened to remember his ordeal.

That is why Reynal light-handed to help the beggar he met on the street. He knows finding money is hard and for them it is very difficult.
