Falsehoods.
Let's say it's the most important part of Val's figure even if he doesn't want it. He knows, is aware and understands that lying will not produce anything but absolute destruction. Losing trust, or even a person's love and affection.
Val smiled faintly as she saw Lea embracing her father from a distance. His breath returned breathless when he had to take a man past the time limit without something that was most influential in him. And now, Val must return to the world that feels more sickening—Abel Wood.
The quiet room. The hallway is dimly lit dim wall lights reddish in color, and also the aroma of the mountain that never separated from the inhaler. Val walked in limped steps, breathing heavily, and occasionally coughing as the air supply in his lungs felt almost depleted.
The sapphire blue bead was faintly rumbling. As much as possible Val arranged himself, to return to normal as before.
The howls of wolves, as well as the rattles of night animals were heard clearly. He found no one passing by, the house was very quiet. Until the wall of the house is cut, Down the steps with a head that still feels dizzy, Val reached the ground floor. Still nobody's seen, quiet.
Until the steps of the level reached the doorway that connects the main house with the Rose garden and also Nana's residence.
Val walked over when he heard an old voice looking around and calling himself.
"Sin'ana?" his murmuring was slow, but it could still be heard by the entire occupant of the room. And how shocked Val was to see Nana, the kind old woman who helped and made herself part of this family, lying helpless on the couch. The old woman laughed softly.
"You can leave me and Val alone?"
Of course, all could not argue with the words of the old woman they loved so much. One by one stand up and leave the middle room which is currently very quiet.
"Come, boy!" the door to Val. His voice sounded soft and vibrating, making Val powerless to hold his own body weight. Resisting tightness and also very painful crying.
Val sat down by Nana's side, grabbed an old, wrinkled palm and then rubbed lovingly. He said, "Who made Nana like this?"
"Lea's okay isn't she?"
Val nodded. "He was where we first met!"
"So, you love her?"
Nana remembers when Val told her first, Val said that he would not take anyone there, other than the woman he loved so much. Val answered him with a doubtful nod, he did not want to let Nana down. But what he heard was completely opposite to the assumption he was thinking about.
"Thank God! Henny won't be able to get in there! Leah will be safe!"
"Jadi—"
"Shhh... Come near me!" nana's word, which Val can't deny in the least.
Val bent over, letting Nana put her fingers in her cheeks and then pointed behind the mane, more precisely at the nape of Val's neck, where the emblem was embedded. It felt cold, and also strange, the cold was also like getting through the markings behind the nape of his neck.
"What are you—"
"My time is not much anymore! And you need all this to fight Henny and save Lea and your son! Henny is back with a grudge!"
Val's heart throbbed with anger and disappointment in itself. He believes this is all because he never came even though Henny wanted him to.
"But—" Val's voice choked. Nana was already motionless just as the cold was gone. Both Val's beads fester, noticing Nana who's been shut up.
"Nana! Wake up!" call him with a panicked face. The tears could not stand it anymore. Val cries, exposes all the sadness that had just rolled up the feeling. Grasping Nana's wrinkled palm that slowly warmed and pale.
Actually, what's he receiving it for from Nana. Val had not even expected anything on reality that was slowly turning gray in his own mind. Moreover, Nana left him now, who would be to blame?
"Of course I am!" val says monologue. Who else could have turned things into this other than him who no longer cared about Henny's calling. She still remembers the first time Nana said something in her teens, before abel was present in her heart.
"Because it's his way of protecting himself!" his reply recalled what he said dozens, no, more, maybe hundreds of years ago. "But you said my answer was wrong!" he continued with a flat face without expression while still grasping Nana's palm.
Along with that, the door of the room opened. Family members who had been waiting outside just entered, because they realized that Nana's aura had disappeared. Nana is gone.
Even now, all bowed down miserably because the only person they loved had left.
"Henny did it?" val asked without taking a look.
"Really! He came silently, then Veyly realized that! And by the time we got here, Nana was already helpless!"
Val clenched tightly, his jaw hardened. He's really wrathful.
"Henny will receive his reply! I don't care if I have to get crushed in his hands!" Val smiled bitterly between the indistinct look on his face.
"You can't go alone?" said the father.
Val turned his head, this time his shoulder looked so hurt. Upon accepting the fact that Nana has been gone for good.
"No! Here's my business with him! Father and mother, and sister Veyly don't have to come along for any of this! I've—"
"No! We'll go with you!" sahut the mother, convinced Val.
Val bowed with a bitter smile. "Thank you, and I'm sorry to have your family involved for the second time because of a mistake I made!"
The mother approached, hugging Val lovingly. "You're not alone! There's us!" he rubbed Val's mane. "We did not like the presence of Lea, but we realized that the girl was a good girl! He even willingly gave himself up to set us free! So, we have to fight together!"
The mother distanced Val's body, cupped both cheeks and spoke again. "Protect them both! We will help you as much as we can!"
Val circulated a glance, looking one by one at the family members smiling at him.
Now, the strength within him seemed to return. The determination that had originally disappeared, was back on fire.
"I'll protect them both mother! I don't want to lose the person I love so many times!"[]
