Dark Autumn's
14. Guess.

While Lea was still plagued with curiosity about a sign on her wrist and also the pain that was destroying her body, she had to keep attending the Val family's morning routine.

Passing through the hallway so quiet, the sound of the pounding pantofel shoes used by Val was heard echoing to the end.

"He's not really human! " his murmured softly as he walked behind Val's wide back. His steps were a little disturbed because the pain did not go away.

"I told you, don't regret it! " sahut Val while looking at his left shoulder to find the presence of Lea without stopping the footsteps of his level.

"At least, pay attention and differentiate! I am a human being, not a creature like you! "

Val puts his shoulders together not knowing. The one who asked is not himself.

"Then don't do it again! "

Val's steps stopped instantly, turned around and approached Lea who was in shock. Aligning the face then pulling a smile at the tip of his lips, sarcasm.

Lea's lips clenched perfectly, the cold air that blew from outside this magnificent building again made her bristle. Then Lea distanced herself, straightened her back which a few seconds ago inched because she felt tense.

"Why? " the voice of the baritone again greeted Indra perungu Lea, retracting consciousness that a few seconds and then flew out of nowhere.

"Because you're scary! "

"Thrillingly? " continued Val with both eyebrows raised.

"Explain about this! "

Suddenly Lea had courage while raising her arms and showing the mark on her wrist that she got after last night.

Walking ahead, Lea tried to speed up her steps so Val could not catch up with her. But, he was wrong. Val was able to be by his side in just under a second.

"You'll hear it later!".

Arriving at the dinner table, something made Lea wonder. There is no Henny among the Val family circle. No one asked, or told about Henny's whereabouts, it seemed like they were actually keeping a close eye on all the Henny-related events.

When the breakfast session ended, Lea intended to visit Nana this morning. But the storm and rain came without him knowing, making him turn his steps and return to his room.

Only a shadow of rain and wind was visible on his pupils at this moment, until a knock on his bedroom door scattered all his reverie on the rain.

Lea walked over to the door, turned the key and found Nana out there.

For some reason, he suddenly felt calm when he saw an old figure in front of him. Nana put one finger on her lips, gesturing for Lea not to make a scene.

Bringing Nana into the room is something that he thinks feels foreign, because all this time only he and Val were in there.

Directing Nana's old body towards the chair facing out, Lea sat down under her feet.

"Why are you sitting down? "

"No problem! I was going to Nana's room, but the rain was mixed with the storm! So I went to the room! "

The old woman rubbed Lea's delicate cheeks very gently and pinned a smile. Pull Lea's arm slowly and see the mark on the young woman's wrist.

"Thank you... "

Lea stared at Nana questioningly. "U-what are you thanking me for? "

Lea thought, no one would be aware if she and Val had gone through the night of unification.

"Val did it, didn't he? "

Suddenly Lea's heart was beating in disarray. There was speculation in his mind if the sign was proof of the unification they had already done.

"D-where did Nana know, would, that thing? " ask Lea with a red hue on both sides of her cheeks. Down holding in shame.

"I don't have to say it! I just need to thank you! "

Lea was silent, but she had not had time to speak, Nana resumed the conversation.

"One presence that has been a fetter for us has gone! "

"I mean Nana? "

"Henny! "

Thousands of questions filled Leah's head. Who Henny really is is one of them.

"Can Nana tell me who Henny really is?! "[]
