Dad, I Want to Go Home
40. Optimists

After five months of leaving the company, Devan has now returned to his usual activities. It was Rachel's pregnancy that would give him an heir who would make him even more excited about making a living for his son and wife.

Rachel put on her husband's tie and looked at her husband's appearance for a moment and smiled." The charm of my husband is more and more alluring to my people out there who are racing to get your attention by all means they will travel for a Devan. Was my husband tempted?" rachel asked as she put her hand on her husband's neck.

"They just wasted their time because my heart has given to my beloved wife who is pregnant with the fruit of our love.

Never doubt my love for not less for you even though their beauty may exceed you but the inner beauty I have been looking for so far I have found is in front of me at this time," said Devan full of sincerity.

"If my age isn't enough to age with you, give them a chance to bring back the love you lost in your life, Devan," Rachel said, making Devan's heart shiver.

"What are you talking about, Rachel? Can't you just stop for a moment not to mention death, dear? don't you know that every moment my breath seems to stop just seeing your face pale like an undead.

If you say I've also one soul with you Rachel. If you die, there is no reason for me to live even if this baby will survive after we are gone" Devan said, pouring out his heart that he could no longer tolerate his sadness all this time.

"I'm sorry! I'm so scared of Devan. If I can ask I want to make you happy until I'm old enough to last until our son can know love. But, I can't see that's part of the hope" Rachel said.

"Honey. Hear me! What do you believe is that the greatness of God who has placed this holy creature in your womb must have its silver, he said, so I hope you have to be optimistic that you will age with me while raising our children later" Devan said.

Again, both of them were again in sadness. They could do nothing but surrender themselves to Allah for their dead lives because of Allah. The sick will not necessarily die. Healthy people do not survive death.

"You better go to work, baby! don't think about me. I want to rest or accompany my mom down there," said Rachel, wiping her tears.

"What's Devan helping you with?" ask Rachel.

"Help me not to make me always sad. I have to make a living for our future. You are my spirit. If you are sad, then you will find me also sad because our inner contact is so strong dear" said Devan.

"God willing. I won't be sad anymore" Rachel said.

"Would you take me to the car door?" ask Devan.

"Of course."

Devan buried his lips so deeply in his wife's lips that he put his arm around Rachel's shoulder for her to see until her car disappeared from Rachel's sight.

"Mommy. Devan's leaving first!" pamit Devan while kissing the back of his mother's hands and cheeks.

"Yes, be careful! Mommy will take care of Rachel.

"Titip my soul yes mami," said Devan as he rolled his eyes at the wife who blushed in shame.

"With all the soul of my mother" promised Alisha.
