24. Strive to Chase

Rachel contacted Devan again because her heart was not calm. However Devan's number is not active at all. Rachel tries to contact Deni, who may be aware of Devan's whereabouts.

"Deni. Do you know where Devan is now?" ask Rachel.

"Lho. Isn't Mr Devan in your village to propose to you personally?" ask Deni.

"She was with me, it was just a dispute between us and she just left. I tried to reach him, but his phone was off. It looks like he's blocked my contact number" Rachel said.

"alright. Wait a minute, Miss Rachel. Let me just call him. After that will contact you again if you already know his whereabouts," said Deni.

"Thank Deni. I waited for you. Please let me know as soon as possible. I'm so worried about him" Rachel said.

"Good."

After waiting for a while, Rachel gets a chat from Deni and she also gets Devan's location." Apparently he's still at the hotel in town. I have to get there, right away" said Rachel.

Rachel took out her father's motor matic. He wants to meet with Devan to apologize. He doesn't care if the man still wants her or breaks off their engagement, which he obviously wants to apologize to Devan alone. That's his only wish.

After about two hours, he finally arrived in the city. He immediately entered the hotel after parking his motorbike. He immediately went to Devan's room because Devan's room number was known from Deni.

He had already pushed Devan's room number button several times, but the door was not opened there once by Devan. Rachel tried again and it was not opened by Devan.

"Oh so. Thanks bang. Excuse me!" said Rachel who immediately ran towards the elevator door. He hopes to meet Devan before he leaves his hometown.

Rachel took her motorcycle to the airport which took about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the airport, he asked for a flight to Jakarta with the corresponding plane number Deni told him.

"Sorry miss. Garuda's plane bound for Jakarta had departed ten minutes ago," the airport official said, leaving Rachel in shock.

"What's ....?" cry Rachel.

Rachel sat down for a moment to calm herself down. He does not expect only one snatch from her, Devan erases all their memories let alone the love Devan gives him is just a mirage. It looks beautiful from afar but in reality nothing is real at all.

"Is that how much you love me, Devan?" rachel asked while glazed.

Rachel walked back to the parking lot to pick up her bike. He immediately went home so he could cry in his room.

"I hate you Devan. I hate you so much. If you want to get rid of me slowly, then I'll throw you away like trash" Rachel said with the steadiness of her already wounded heart.

Upon arriving home, Rachel walked into her room and cried roaring on her pillow. He wanted to express his pain.

Rachel promises never to deal with Devan again because the man is nothing more than a loser. Rachel felt very tired back to the city and back to her village made her finally fall asleep with her tears still fluffy in her beautiful eyelids.
