Chapter 4: The Past

Aaron can now only stand still, looking at the beautiful girl who is getting closer to him. Yes, she is Grace, the most beautiful ex for Aaron, not only being the most beautiful ex, but Grace is also the first love in Aaron's life. Memories that used to be engraved with Grace now come back to haunt Aaron, if only Grace had not cheated on him and betrayed Aaron maybe they would have been a very happy couple. However, fate said otherwise, it was not Grace who became Aaron's wife, but Caitlin the foreign woman to him.

"What do you need to do here?" Asked Aaron in a soft tone. Aaron always spoke softly and treated Grace very well.

"What'sthis? What do you mean Aaron, do you want revenge on me?" grace said in a high tone while throwing Aaron's wedding photo with Caitlin.

"What's this?" Aaron took the photo.

"You married another woman? who's that woman? why would he take you from me?" grace's emotions are becoming more and more.

"Well Grace, I'm married to the woman in the photo. He didn't take me away from you, you had an affair with another man" Aaron got up from his seat.

"I can't take this, you have the heart for me Aaron!" Grace's tears now flowed profusely across her smooth cheeks.

"Have I been lazy to argue with you, after all you are just my past. I've forgotten you, so please get out of my room" said Aaron, but his voice remained soft.

"Aaron!" Grace refuses to leave Aaron's room.

"Go please" asked Aaron to Grace, and Grace walked out of Aaron's room with tears and pain.

Aaron returned to his study seat, his gaze as if empty. She still does not believe in Grace's return when she is married. For years he tried hard to forget the woman. But now the woman is back in front of him.

Grace moved out of Aaron's office sobbing. He felt the pain in his heart, he regretted what he had done to cheat on him and betrayed a man as good as Aaron. Now he is thinking of regaining Aaron's heart, no matter if Aaron is now married to another girl.

"You're going to be mine Aaron again, not that woman! And I have to figure out who that woman is" Grace seems frustrated with Aaron's marriage.

Upon arriving at Grace's apartment he immediately finds out all about Caitlin, he starts to open his laptop and begins to find out through social media, finally he finds Caitlin's profile, Caitlin, because he previously knew Caitlin's name through the marriage of Aaron and Caitlin.

"I'm finally meeting who you are" Grace said with a cynical smile. "Look I won't let your marriage be happy with Aaron, I'll take Aaron back into my hands!" continued Grace.

Caitlin felt bored in the luxurious house owned by Aaron, finally he decided to go with his best friend. Arriving at the cafe Caitlin, he had seen his two friends who were sitting at one of the cafe tables. Their faces looked impatiently waiting for Caitlin's arrival.

"Hi Caitlin, how's your wedding going?" kylie asked impatiently waiting for an answer from Caitlin.

"You are here, I just came to ask you how my marriage is going" replied Caitlin lazily as she sat down to join her two best friends.

"You know I don't feel very happy when I hear about you getting married. You finally have a husband too" Kylie chuckled.

Noah who saw the behavior of his two best friends could only smile, because it was not strange with their behavior. Noah does not talk too much as usual, which makes Caitlin more confused with Noah's behavior now is different unlike Noah who he knows.

"Well, aren't you happy with my presence here?" tanya Caitlin patted Noah on the shoulder.

"What are you talking about, how could I not be happy to see you. You're my best friend and I'm very happy if there's you or sarah" Noah laughed.

They chose to take pictures together because of course their time together will be a little reduced because now Caitlin is married.

"Your husband is so handsome as it turns out, I can't believe that you're going to get that handsome guy" Kylie said.

"You don't just look at the man from his face, what if his face looks handsome but can't make you happy!" chirps Noah.

"You're Noah, you're jealous to see Caitlin getting married? You guys don't sell," Kylie laughed with Caitlin, as soon as Noah's face flushed.

"See what you said Kylie!" Noah replied slightly raising his tone. "Caitlin, if your husband can't make you happy or your husband hurts you have to tell me and Kylie, you understand?" Noah looked at Caitlin seriously.

"Sure, thank you you guys for always being there for me, but you don't have to worry because I'm happy with my marriage" Caitlin said, hugging her two best friends.

Finally they decided to go home to each of them.Seampai at home Caitlin did not see her husband in every corner of the house, even though the clock has shown at 19:00. There was a sense of worry that now crossed Caitlin's mind.

"Where is he, why is it late like this he still hasn't come home?" Ask Caitlin to herself.

Shortly after, the main door of the mansion opened. And Aaron was coming, but Caitlin was confused with Aaron he looked more moody than usual. What happened to the man he thought.

"You just got home?" Caitlin asked but Aaron ignored her and passed into the room.

Caitlin decides to make dinner, worried that Aaron hasn't eaten. But when he opened the refrigerator which was only available a little material cursed him because he forgot to shop earlier.

"Gosh, I forgot to do some shopping, okay, I'll just make some pasta" said Caitlin and immediately busy with the kitchen cancellation.

The delicious aroma was inhaled back in Aaron's nose, and managed to make his stomach sound. Aaron decided to go down to the kitchen to Caitlin who was busy cooking.

"What are you cooking?" ask Aaron who managed to surprise Caitlin.

"Oh hi! I just made pasta because I forgot to shop. I'm sorry Aaron" Caitlin said.

"No problem, I really like pasta," replied Aaron sitting at the table eating while watching Caitlin who was busy cooking.

Aaron's gaze managed to make Caitlin wrong for the umpteenth time. But he immediately focused back on his show.

"Caitlin's chef-style pasta is ready, please enjoy the dinner," said Caitlin smiling as she served her pasta to Aaron's plate.

"Thank you! You just eat here!" aaron replied with a slight smile but remained with his cold face. 

Caitlin's heart seemed to be pounding because this time Aaron invited her to eat together. 

Now they were busy with their dinner, there was no conversation between them, there was only the sound of spoons and forks clashing. Soon Aaron finished his meal, and went from his seat to the room.

Caitlin chose to take care of the dinner plate and clean up the slightly messy kitchen before she went to clean up.

Caitlin stepped into the room, and saw Aaron who was still pensive since returning home. In Caitlin's heart increasingly asked what was wrong with Aaron, despite Aaron's cold attitude that he had been used to seeing but this time was different, Caitlin felt that something had happened to her husband.
