Comploters Not Afraid of Ghosts
Chapter 7: Ghost Daughter Feet Destroyed

Days pass. Ari has graduated from Junior High. He's in favorite SMU

because his father was a senior teacher there. Ari is not a smart kid. Indeed

there are rations for the teachers' children to get in there. This morning was her first day

enter school. He went to ride his mother on a motorcycle. After father Ari

died, Ari's mother got a job at the school as an administrative staff.

Until the front of the school fence, Ari asked to go down. He was ashamed to see another child

go to school to shake his mother.

“Udah Ma, Ari down here aja,” pinta Ari behind her mother.

“Why not all in dalem aja anyway,” asked his mother

slow motor.

“Ih, ah, here aja,” forcibly Ari.

Ari's mother stopped the motor, let her son walk

join the other kids on the first day. Ari has entered the gate

school, staring at his new school building. Buildings built in time

dutch Colonial. The building is old, with thick walls and windows

high-up. But several times it was renovated to look clean and

brightened. Ari glanced at the children walking around her. They must be

the smart kids. To enter this school must have a grade above

averaging. But for a moment Ari's eyes were tethered to a group of girls

get out of the car park. They walk so cheerfully. And one of

they made Ari have to hold his breath. That's Tata. Appearance different.

But Ari believes it's Tata. Now she is more beautiful and fashionable. Ari started

walking quickly did not want his sight blocked. Many times he tried

convinced himself it was Tata. Until he heard a voice calling his name.

“Ari!” a boy in an SMU uniform approached him.

“Haki!” Ari knew. He was at SMP. And Ari was no wonder

if he goes to this school too. Her mother is an Indonesian teacher here.

“Eh lo in class 10-13 right? I saw your name in the announcement,”

ask Haki.

“Iye. Lo?” Ari asked back.

“Iye, one of our classes. We are the ones?” haki Pinta.

“Iye,” Ari replied briefly. Ari already knew they would

placed in that class. The last class of the 10th class had 13

classs. The place where the students take care of the teachers. Also keep offices or people

rich whose child's academic ability is substandard.

“Eh, vlog first us!” Haki pulled out the smart phone from

her briefcase.

“Eh, klo caught the teacher seized lo,” Ari rather worried

his friend pulled out a cell phone in the crowd of the school yard.

“Quiet just here doang,” said Haki joking while

fiddling with his phone settings. “Ok Gaes, this is us at our favorite school.

The most favorite school in town. And this is our first day of school.

Today there may not have been a lesson in Gaes. And this is my friend Ari. He's this

I'll be the same as Gaes. We are sohib Bro. Come dong Ari, smile?”

Ari smiles a little. He was wary of that

there are teachers who see the behavior of their friends. But Haki still directs

the camera went around. Until they arrive at the terrace of the building, Haki hurry up

put the phone in because there are some teachers through it. They also headed to

classs. And Ari is still thinking of Tata.

Ari's class is at the very back end of the building. Close to

second-hand storage and broken benches. That class is

anointed. His position in the hallway is less illumination and sometimes the smell of

septitank outside goes to class. The first day there was no lesson. Classmaster

he introduced himself to the students. He's a new religious teacher who hasn't

experienced. Sometimes the speech is awkward. His name is Mr. Riza. Then there was

class chair election event. Two students named Kocik and Boncel came forward to

forward as a candidate. Kocik, big-bodied boy, a little fat.

a famous lawyer. Boncel, big-bodied girl, a little chubby

aslo. Black, hair cream. He was chosen because of the son of a police officer.

Unlike the others, Ari is not so enthusiastic about following

class chairperson selection. Because the attention is now a daughter

who sat in front of him. The boy's wearing a jacket. A few minutes ago

she wears it on her head. Ari thinks he's sick. Several times he

cross his hands on his chest like it was cold. Then the boy began to see

window. From here Ari felt something was wrong. The boy looked at the window

again a few times. Ari's feelings started to feel bad as before.

Then the boy pointed a finger, ask permission to Mr. Riza to move the bench.

He said he was cold sitting next to the window. Mr. Riza thinks he's sick and

allow moving to another bench away from the window. Ari watch

the window next to it. The classroom is seen outside. In class, the sound

the students were getting more crowded during the voting. Ari's attention started to rise

window. There was a lump of meat in the corner of the upper window. Ari thinks there's a dead rat.

Or a dead cat. But after Ari noticed again, it was the shape of the foot. That

a pair of human legs. One still looks the shape, the other already

disintegrated. Ari looked up again. The foot belonged to a child who was wearing

the skirt of the SMU uniform and she was hovering in front of the window. His body is seen in

window. His head was seen in a ventilation hole above the window. His face is pale

and his eyelids are dark. He glared into class. Spontaneous Ari

take out the little book and pencil. His hands quickly moved the pencil.

She's a picture of a girl in an SMU uniform whose legs were crushed, floating

outside the window, look inside the classroom through the ventilation holes.

“What picture is it?” haki's voice shocked Ari. Seems

Haki had a look at what Ari had drawn.

“Neither, this is a fad,” Ari quickly closed his book.

“Try to see dong, really drag deh,” Pinta Haki rather

coercing.

“Nothing really, just a fad doang,” Ari still does not want

kasam see.

“Come on, the cave will want to see a picture of a maestro. Ari sang

maestro!” Haki tried to persuade.

“Ok. Only you doang cave

you know,” Ari whispered a little. Then he ripped the paper with the picture

earlier. He gave it to Haki.

“Well it dong, we are sohib,” Haki enthusiastically glaring

Ari's Images. “Wow really cool..

Not long after, Ari had to take the paper out of hand

Haki's. Because he saw Mr. Riza several times watching them. Temporal

voting results were announced. Kocik became class president, Boncel became his deputy.

When he came home from school, Ari did not want to be invited with his mother. Him

choose to take the bus. But he didn't go straight to the stop. He's in front of the parking lot

automaker. Time and time again he gathered the courage to carry out his intentions. Him

must prove the girl he saw this morning is Tata. And the

waiting arrived. Four girls were walking towards him

joking. But what concerns Ari is the most cornered child. Childrens

the woman approached the parking door. Ari tried to get closer.

“Tata!” Ari managed to shout out her voice.

The called one looks. He was shocked to see Ari. Momentary

he stood up. Just momentary. Then he quickly rejoined

her friends earlier. One of his friends asked, Who was that

called him. But the girl accelerated her pace. Him

it's like getting your friends out of there quickly. Now lives Ari

alone in there.
