Chapter 1: The Ghost of a Little Child Who Loves to Take Toys

The revived baby is now almost 5 years old.

His full name is Harindra. His mother called him Ari. Today Ari got a bike

his first. The four-wheeled bicycle he was driving in front of the house. As always, though,

this afternoon, the children were playing on the village road. Ari was one of the children

taciturn. On his bike he just observed other children his age joking and

run about. But then he noticed a child who kept crying.

His age is below him. Ari knows why she's crying. There's another kid who

taking toys. Plastic baby toys. The toy was carried running around

among the other children. Until the crying mother came and realized

what the hell is going on.

“Who took his toy sister?” The mother asked the children

just there.

The kids are throwing each other. No one feels taken

toy.

“Nobody took it!” a child dared to answer.

“Fall to got times!” another one is lying.

The mother just kept quiet. His face was upset while carrying his child

who is still crying.

Ari knows who took. He wanted to tell the mother.

But RT's mother came and told the children to go home.

“Come kids, this is Maghrib, let's go home, demons already

on dateng, ntar you guys kidnapped the same demon you know.”

The next day, Ari's mother was furious. He's standing in front

Ari. In his hand was a plastic toy. Said the toy he found floating

the well. Their house had a well on the side.

“Not Ari to take. Yesterday there was a child who took,” innocently

Ari mebela.

Ari's mother was angry. Ari got one jewel. Ari's Mother

rushed to the neighbor's house to return the toy. Ari cried, sobbing,

stuck in front of her bedroom door.

In the afternoon, as usual Ari was on his bike.

The kids were playing and running. And the little boy was crying again. Child

the one yesterday lost a plastic duck toy. His crying became more. He lost

toys again. And Ari saw the boy again. The child who takes the toys.

This time it's a rattlesnake toy. The toy was carried around in circles, running between

other children. The rattling sounds were mixed with the ripples of the children

play. Until the crying child was visited by his mother. Carrying his son

he looked at Ari. Spontaneous Ari pointed to the child who picked up the toy.

“He who took his toy,” shouted Ari innocently.

But Ari was surprised, the mother looked at the children

others. Not the child Ari pointed at.

“That's taking her toy,” Ari's little voice louder.

His finger was now pointing to another place because the boy was running here and there

rang his rattles.

The mother even glared at Ari. He feels played. Then

he brought his crying son into his house.

The night was quiet. The clock on the wall sounded regular

ari's Room. The clock hand points at the number 2 more. Ari slumped inside her blanket. But

Ari sat in bed. Long ago Ari remembered, that was the sound of rattling toys earlier

afternoons. Ari just realized it's still midnight. The voice sounded from outside

room, well direction. There was a child this afternoon playing in a frenzy

near wells. Ari was getting scared. He got out of bed to call his mother. But

as he passed through the window, he stopped. The clanking sound was still there. Ari

curious, was the boy there? Ari open the window curtain. Well area

looks crisp . There's no one there. But a clattering sound was heard

evidently. The voice echoed, like it came from inside a well. Spontaneous Ari running

to her parents' room.

“Mama, Ari scared,” Ari woke her mother. His father's

next to his mother snored.

Ari's mother woke up, seeing her pale son standing in the

bedside.

“Why baby?” Ari's mother held her son's hand. That hand

cold and wet from sweat.

“Ari scared Ma,” Ari face weld.

“You're having nightmares huh?” ask Ari's mother who began to look

her child

Ari just nodded. He doesn't know how

explain it.

That night Ari slept with her mother. His mother was in

next to it. But Ari can't sleep. The clinking sound was still coming out of

in wells.

Ari awakens. His eyes were half open. But he can

see her mother sitting next to the bed, showing her something in her hand. Toys

rattling.

“Mama don't know what to do, want to say what else with mom

next door,” Ari's mother's face is angry, but not like yesterday. Now he's kinda

resignedly.

“Not Ari who took, yesterday afternoon there was a child who took,”

ari's small voice was still hoarse.

“This is the last. If you take another toy, then

you throw it in the well, you can't play outside for a week!”

Then Ari's mother came out of the room. It seems like he wants to be soon

bring back the toy. Ari was still lying on her bed. This time

she doesn't want to cry. Because what he imagined was a well on the side

homehouse. With a still shaky step he headed to the well. Getting closer to the well

ari's steps are getting slower. One more step he could see into the well. Till

at the edge of the well, Ari loosened his head. In the well was a child.

The child who takes the toys. He sits on the water. Ari ran away towards

her room. On the bed, he covered the pillow on his head.

Ari's mother came shortly. He found his son sobbing in

mattresses. Body shivers.

“Why are you, son? You sick?”

Ari's mother is so worried. She sussit she's so sorry

has scolded his son. The child he never had.
