Cloudhawk could hear a low growl from behind him. This caused his heart to sink further. There was a scavenger under the pulpit, and his dreadful tumor-like face turned into a mask of anger. The scavenger gritted his jagged black teeth as he stared intently at him.
There's actually a sweeper here!
This sweeper is quite small, about the same size as Cloudhawk. Most of the sweepers had gone to fight the mercenaries, leaving only the smallest. The junior sweeper picked up another javelin and was just about to throw it. Although the sweeper was young, he was able to throw the javelin with enough speed and strength to pierce through a man's body.
Cloudhawk angrily jumped down from the pulpit, threw himself towards the sweeper and dropped him to the ground. Cloudhawk used the sharp metal shards in his right hand to stab the sweeper furiously, but the sweeper's body was too strong. Cloudhawk's own hand was cut off by the metal shards, but he was unable to pierce through the sweeper's body.
Although the young sweeper was inexperienced, his body was still much more formidable than Cloudhawk. One kick from both of his legs sent Cloudhawk into the air, and he landed on the ground over a meter away. Blood flowed from Cloudhawk's nose and mouth, and the world before his eyes had just become hazy. He randomly threw the metal shards as hard as he could.
The crack!
The sharp metal shards actually hit the young sweeper, but it could not cause much damage at all. The young sweeper got up, then used his javelin to stab a man on the ground.
Cloudhawk's bestial instinct warned him of impending danger. He immediately rolled over to dodge the attack, and the javelin split apart as it stuck to the ground.
Although this sweeper was still very young, he was as strong as a normal adult human. The sweeper let out a low growl, not expecting this scavenger to be so agile. He threw out a splinter of javelin in his hand, then turned around and took out a long knife from one of the cabinets behind him.
Cloudhawk took out half a broken javelin. As the sweeper turned towards him, he used almost all of his energy to jump to his feet, then dealt a two-handed blow with a javelin as he pointed it at the sweeper's head.
This attack consumed almost all of Cloudhawk's energy.
The interest! The broken end of the javelin is plugged straight through the sweeper's left eye, entering a few inches. A large amount of black blood and other viscous fluids gushed out from the wound.
The sweeper let out a cry of pain and anger as he wildly whipped with a long knife in his hand. As Cloudhawk dodged backwards, his shoulder was cut off by one piece of meat, resulting in a portion of his flesh being cut off.
The pain is excruciating!
Cloudhawk retreated back to the pulpit. The young sweeper wildly lashed out for a few moments, then finally fell to the ground, an expression of pain and confusion in his remaining eyes.
Cloudhawk was panting, completely exhausted and weak. He silently stared at the young sweeper's corpse for a while. If the young sweeper had not undergone a mutation, he would probably be a human of the same age as Cloudhawk himself. He is a living being who will have parents, brothers, family ...
A sorrowful smile appeared on Cloudhawk's face as he turned around, dragging his tired body up the podium stairs. He stretched out his bloodied right hand, then clenched it around the hovering gem.
The explosion!
The whole world seemed to shake. Swirls of dust appeared above the pulpit, and Cloudhawk and the strange gem disappeared simultaneously. It was as if they had evaporated into thin air, disappearing from the world!
……
In the instant Cloudhawk's hand closed around the jewel, streams of dazzling light shot out from between his fingers. It was as if he was not holding a stone in his hand; instead, he was holding a miniature sun. At the same time, a strange type of energy surged through his hands and throughout his body, seemingly infiltrating his every cell.
Extremely powerful energy waves covered the entire area, causing space itself to twist and distort.
Cloudhawk had never seen such a terrifying sight before. Everything before him twisted and distorted. It was as if the world around him was a bucket of water, and someone used a stick to kick at the whirlpool. The invisible energy furiously tore through every cell in his body, tearing each cell into millions of tiny pieces.
The whole world has disappeared. Cloudhawk has been taken to a strange new world without light, without darkness, without matter, and without energy. It was a world filled with many rippling ropes, some straight and some circular. Every time one of the strings was sounded, a strange sound could be heard.
It was like hundreds of millions of guitar strings being played at the same time, forming an entire world for themselves, with Cloudhawk being a part of it. Cloudhawk was able to maintain the clarity of his mind, and stared with absolute fear at the strange world around him. He wasn't sure if he was alive or not.
Countless strings began to fuse together, forming all sorts of strange and chaotic light lines which then mixed and twisted together to form an image. Cloudhawk had been 'weightless' all along, but he suddenly felt a powerful force dragging him down.
Bang out! Cloudhawk landed on a very hard and rough stone floor.
Cloudhawk pressed his hand against the stone floor, wanting to vomit. Unfortunately, there was nothing in his stomach. His head was completely dazed now, and his ears were ringing. He can't even see clearly. All his senses were in a state of chaos, and he did not even know whether the world before him was real or fake. He had never experienced anything like this before.
Slowly, his senses began to stabilize. The moment it happened, the first feeling he felt was.hot! Bizarrely. Isn't this night time? Why is the area around me filled with blinding sunlight?
That was so hot. Where's she?
Cloudhawk's nose was filled with the smell of sulfur. As his vision grew clearer, the look of astonishment on his face also grew larger. What appeared before him was something that completely surpassed his wildest imagination.
This was a world where the black stone ground was filled with so many cracks, it seemed like countless termites had grown tired of passing through it. This entire world was like a piece of glass that someone had cruelly stepped on but could not be completely destroyed. The abyss in the world was very deep, but the flickering of flames could be faintly seen, as if hellfire could erupt from within the abyss at any moment.
Where's she? Is he dreaming?
The air here is so hot that Cloudhawk can barely breathe. He immediately raised his head to stare towards the distant sky .. and what he saw caused his eyes to almost pop out of their sockets.
There were two entities that were emitting light and dazzling in the sky; the great sun and the small sun. They hung in the sky at the same time, emitting a dazzling halo that burned this cracked and dry earth. In addition to the two suns, there was also an enormous red gas giant that filled almost half of the sky. Two large wind storms can be seen on the gas giant in the form of two giant yellow 'dots', and a sloping yellow halo can be seen surrounding this gas giant. This is truly an amazing sight!
How could his weak little heart be able to withstand such an incredible and unbelievable transformation in this world?
"AH!!!!" Cloudhawk felt as if the blood in his body was flowing backwards, and he could only let out an uncontrollable shrill scream. The jewel in his hand once again lit up, and that strange energy wave once again twisted the world around him. There was no way Cloudhawk could withstand this transfer process for the second time, and he instantly fell unconscious.
The spatial ripples around him disappeared, as did he himself. The world around him remained as silent and sad as ever, as if no living being had ever appeared on its surface before.
……
Slyfox and Mad Dog have finished their bloody battle. They had suffered some injuries, but the mutants had been completely destroyed and almost all of them had been exterminated.
“Yes, a late stage power meta like you is really almost unstoppable in close combat.” The fat man laughed out loud, then lit a cigarette for Mad Dog. “This is a rare type of mutant; intelligent yet highly mutated, and with the ability to stably deploy future generations. Each of these bodies will give us a lot of money. This deal will keep us eating for half a year!”
Mad Dog smoked his cigarette deep. He was also quite happy with his appearance in this battle. “You always spend all your money on women, you randy bastard. How long do you really think this money will last? I warn you in advance; You ARE NOT allowed to touch my money part!”
“Fuck?! Gosh, you really don't know how to talk to other people!”
The reason why they were so successful was all thanks to the fat man who first released so many lures into the tunnel. It allowed the two of them to return home to the mutant camp. If not for that, given how complicated the tunnel layout was, they probably wouldn't have been able to find it that fast. After all, these mutants were the smart ones.
“Hey, boss!” A mercenary in front suddenly called out to them. "One of the scavengers is alive!"
A live scav? No way!
A skinny young man was lying there on the ground, his face as pale as a piece of paper and without blood. The boy had completely fainted.
“Oh! The kid really made it?”
"You're taking me back with us, boss?"
“The fight. You would be the one responsible for feeding him if I did? ” Obviously, no scavenger knows what Slyfox looks like and how he acts. He did not even see scavengers as members of the same race as him; why had he ever fulfilled his promise to them? However, he was quite confused. “The boy ran around here for hours but managed to avoid injury altogether. He really has a little bit of luck. ”
"Look at his chest." An interested and intelligent look flashed in Mad Dog's eyes. “Seeing from his blood pattern, there should be a wound there. Deep, at that moment. ”
The fat man hesitated for a moment. “You told me..”.
“Try and we will know for sure.” Mad Dog took out a knife from his belt. The knife flashed so quickly that it was barely visible, and in the next moment it had already returned to its sheath. A bloody wound appeared on the child's left arm, and fresh blood started to come out from him. About ten seconds later, the bloody wound slowly began to close as the flesh and skin began to fuse at a visible speed.
“Fuck with my eyes. He's meta!"
The fat man's face stiffened while Mad Dog frowned. From the looks of it, the child was actually a metahuman, but he only had first stage regenerative abilities. It made no sense for him to be able to heal such a deep wound on his chest. What the hell's going on?
"Bring it back with us, rookie!" Although there was no time for a detailed examination and no way of knowing what his specific strength was, his own healing speed proved that he possessed first stage regenerative abilities. Anyone with superpowers is considered a metahuman, and every metahuman is worth training.
So, the fate of that unconscious boy had completely changed!
……
Cloudhawk is dreaming. The content of his dream was very similar to the painting he had seen. A group of monstrous, evil, yet powerful creatures lead tens of thousands of mutants in a war against humanity. They were brutal, savage, and extremely cruel, and humanity suffered losses
repeatedly against them, to the point where humanity is almost wiped out.
However.just at this moment, the glowing saint beast suddenly appeared. They gave humanity all sorts of magical weapons, and in the end they joined forces with humanity to go against the tide, turning defeat into victory.
The dream is a scattered dream that comes and goes fit and starts. The exact details were unclear, but the dream itself felt strangely real, almost as if she had personally taken part in it before.
