confide in Mom

I woke up late today, I saw that the clock was at 09:00, I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower,  because it has become my habit to immediately take a shower when I wake up.  After taking a shower I headed for the kitchen, Mom was seen busy slicing onions like for fried sambal. 

Mom saw me coming. 

Like most Balinese people in general who always call with the title of Balinese first name, such as Wayan/Putu for the first child, Made/Kadek for the second child, Nyoman/Komang for the third child, and the third child, Ketut for the fourth child and there are also some other calls such as Luh or Gede. 

So did I, at home I was always called Kadek, because I was child number two.

"Mek, sedeng ngae ape? " (what are you doing? I asked while taking water from the dispenser

My mother nodded, and I prepared to make the rice dish finish cooking for the morning. 

Hindus have an obligation to give a little of what we cook in the morning, to God and to melt in the form of small offerings. Of course it contains rice and a little side dish with small banana leaves. 

As a form of gratitude for life and fortune/food that will be enjoyed every day. 

Back to my mother, my mother was a very open parent,. Especially regarding my personal relationship I can freely tell stories like that, it feels good parents want to understand the situation faced by their children. I'm so grateful for it. 

After finishing arranging the morning offerings, I dried my laundry in the washing machine. I used to do a lot of things on my own, because from childhood my parents taught me independence and it stuck until I was an adult. I prepared to go to the house of my little friend Goddess, I had not been home for a long time because of each busyness, even though she lived not too far from my house. I called her before I got there, afraid she was busy, after ringing the fourth time the Goddess finally answered

"Nami duh where aja, tumben my phone, want to love the wedding invitation yah hahaha" Dewi chuckled with her own words

"Hahahaha is not a Goddess, cang (i - a rough language for me but can be used for close friends) want to play at your house has not been there for a long time, you are busy? "

Me and Dewi are like this, chatting using a mixed language between Bali and Indonesia. Sometimes people around also often scrunched their forehead when they heard us talk.

I also went to Dewi's house with my favorite motorbike only using jeans and oversized t-shirts with my army jacket.  Today, I only wear powder and lipbalm. I took a little black backpack, flip-flops and I put on my helmet as soon as I left. "Mek the pesu nah" (Mother I go) I say goodbye
