CHAPTER 30

" N .nno .. Miss Cleo is unnecessary, we are just servants . Really, it is very inappropriate ", Mr. Lin said stammeringly

Mr. Lin and Elis were now very agitated, they were at a loss as to what way to refuse . They knew that with their low status it was impossible to blend in with a noble, even if I had invited them first .

" But I brought so much, no need to worry . Now I'm just a regular guest, just think of me as a little lady who doesn't distinguish social status" I said trying to explain

Old man Lin was so nervous that he was sweating profusely, he was really confused as to what else to refuse . Mr. Lin was well aware that the lady before him was a top noble who might be nobler than her Young Master . Then I turned my head towards Elis who was standing behind Mr. Lin, I was surprised to see the little girl was so frightened . Her tiny body trembled softly, she lowered her head deeply but it did not cover her expression and her teary eyes .

I sighed softly, looking at Curtis who was still expressionless as if nothing had happened . I got up and lowered my head a little .

" I'm sorry to make you uncomfortable, I won't force you again "I'm sorry

Mr. Lin and Elis were very surprised by my apology at first they thought they would get angry or hit but they really did not expect what they heard was an apology, they raised their heads in unison looking at me who got up and down apologizing . Mr. Lin and Elis were very confused and felt guilty seeing my actions .

" Ti .. no. Miss, please don't apologize . We really don't deserve it " said Mr. Lin hastily

Elis also nodded loudly in agreement to Mr. Lin's words, he didn't think Miss Cleo would immediately apologize like this .

I raised my head and looked at them with a gentle smile .

" I didn't realize it made you guys uncomfortable, I was wrong because of that so I apologized "I said quietly

" But I still want to share the pastries with you, because it was my original intention to bring them . If you are not comfortable to eat together then take some to eat at home" I explained

Mr. Lin and Elis looked at each other, they were really confused to answer how . I who saw them still doubtful and confused immediately said again .

" Don't turn me down again this time, please "add me

I saw Mr. Lin and Elis who were still silent nervous without any sign of taking food on the table, I turned to Curtis for help .

" Take it" said Curtis flatly

Mr. Lin and Elis who heard their Young Master had already agreed and told them to . So Mr. Lin and Elis had no reason to refuse anymore either . They took a step towards the dining table and looked at the various sweet foods that looked beautiful and delicious, this was the first time the two of them had witnessed the real food of the upper nobles . " to Mr. Lin, I suggest these 2 cakes . This one truffles with hazelnut nuts that are not too sweet, this one is Cinnamon roll that smells of strong cinnamon and sweet apple syrup" I told Mr. Lin

" for Elis, these are my 2 favorite cakes . Cheese Chocolat and Strawberry Parfait, girls love it so much . Elis you try also "I said to Elis

" Miss, if it's your favorite, how can I take it . Miss, I can eat anything so I'll take anything else" Elis said suddenly

" What else !!? I can eat this cake at any time, I've given it to you so just accept "I pretend to be upset

Finally Mr. Lin and Elis were only able to accept my decision, they looked at the cakes in their hands with mixed feelings . They lowered their heads and said thanks politely, I smiled as I waved my hand saying .

" No need to hesitate, I did promise to bring a gift last time" I said

When I said 'gift', suddenly something flashed through my mind . ' Brak' I kicked down the dining table by suddenly making the table and the plates shake a little . Curtis, Mr. Lin and Elis were surprised to be shocked by my actions .  Curtis turned his head with a cold expression of restraining annoyance because I was the one who surprised people and was being disrespectful .

" What's wrong with you ?? " his tan was flat with a cold expression

I was just looking at Curtis who looked upset .

" hehehe I'll change his desk if it breaks "my joke

Curtis furrowed his eyebrows confused and disliked, but I don't care about it now . I turned around and lifted the picnic basket below, opened the lid and looked for something among the silk cloths used to wrap the food box while muttering .

As I continued to rummage through the cookie containers and binding cloths piled up in the picnic basket, Curtis who saw me looking for something began to ask impatiently .

" what are you looking for ?? " ask Curtis impatiently

Mr. Lin and Elis who were no longer surprised soon recovered, and intended to help me find .

Elis who saw me had found what I was looking for finally only helped to clean up the scattered items and put them back in the basket and then put them down again . I sat back comfortably and turned to Curtis who was still frowning unhappily .

I put the bag on the table and leaned my body towards Curtis, I extended my hands to his face . Both of my thumb then pressed the frown in the middle of his eyebrows then rubbed it slowly .

My face was right in front of Curtis as I spoke . Curtis was quite surprised by my actions, but soon he felt ashamed . Evidently with the tip of his ear that turned bright red, then he suddenly coughed awkwardly to divert the atmosphere . I just looked at her with a sweet smile, 'Ah, it's so funny ' she thought

I smiled seductively, but still responded to Curtis trying to shift the conversation to a stupid topic . Mr. Lin and Elis just lowered their heads deeply as if they saw nothing . But I can see the awkward Mr. Lin and the embarrassed Elis .

" Money ?? " ask Curtis confused

Curtis again frowned dislikely when I went back to discussing it, I who saw him back annoyed immediately added quickly .

This time the frown on Curtis' forehead loosened a little, I saw that he had calmed down so soon I gave another reason for his frustration to disappear .

" Also, today I give a bonus to all my servants . So I brought along the rations of Mr. Lin and Elis "I said as I looked towards them again

Mister Lin and Elis sensed the situation was about to happen again, they started to wonder to themselves 'have they ever offended me ?? ' .

Mr. Lin and Elis were confused again, but I didn't give them a chance to refuse . I immediately turned to Curtis .

Curtis stared intently at me, I stoically looked back at him with an innocent expression . Curtis finally sighed in defeat and said "no" slowly "

Curtis sighed defeatedly facing me, he leaned back against the chair and glanced at me a little . I smiled sweetly at her while waiting for the words of approval from her mouth confidently and calmly .

I giggled at the pleasure of seeing Curtis give up arguing with me . I smiled victoriously towards Mister Lin and Elis who could not resist anymore .

Mr. Lin and Elis took a step back at the side then reached out their hands . I reached into the white bag and covered a handful of coins in it with 2 of my hands . The ringing of coins sounded muffled by the white silk cloth, Curtis frowning bothered by something . I carried the handful of coins into the hands of Mr. Lin and Elis and released them .

Now the clattering of the falling coins sounded very clear, the gold coins glittered in the light . Soon the expressions of everyone who was there changed,  mr. Lin's hands trembled with great surprise, his eyes glared at the gold coin in his hand, while Elis was so shocked that he dropped a few pieces of coin onto the floor and rang out a loud clatter .

Curtis originally thought I would give some bronze or copper coins that are commonly used . Who would have thought that he would give a bonus to the waiter using gold coins, Curtis was so shocked that he could not manage his expression .

" What's up ?? " i was surprised to see everyone staring

" Is it too little ?? " my mumbling isn't sure

I began to reach again into the bag intending to take another handful of coins, Curtis who realized when he heard Cleo's voice immediately grabbed the hand of Cleo who was about to take another coin . Cleo was confused when Curtis clasped her hand suddenly to stop her .

" Are you kidding me ?? " ask Curtis coldly

" You don't know or are pretending not to know the value of these gold pieces ?? " ask Curtis furiously

" What do you mean handsome brother, isn't it just a few gold coins ?? why yell at me ?!! " i'm annoyed

" Some coins ?? don't you know how much they're worth ?? " ask Curtis flat

" I don't know !! " i shouted furiously as I brushed Curtis' hand away

" Hhh ...!!! " Curtis let out a rough sigh realizing his mistake, he turned to Mr. Lin and Elis who were still standing still at the side .

Mr. Lin and Elis hurriedly placed the gold coins back on the table carefully, I who saw them return it easily felt even more offended .

" This lady never took any more of the things I gave her !!!  " my cry is angry

Curtis frowned unhappily, I also kept looking into his eyes no less fierce . My face reddened with annoyance, I had already restrained all the swearing that would come out at any time in my mouth .
