CHAPTER 28

Cleo POVs

Curtis led me out of the old house, I turned to be amazed by the wooden door I knocked down last time it was now installed in place even though it looks not too strong to face the impact but better than nothing at all .

I went down the front porch and saw a horse that was resting eating the tall grass in the yard . Curtis walked up to the horse and placed the food basket next to him and he turned to me before he would say something I already knew was on his mind . So I put on a meaningful smile and interrupted immediately before Curtis could say anything .

" His handsome brother, look what I've learned lately "I said arrogantly

I walked forward under the intense attention of Curtis, I pushed my violin box into his hand and walked up to the horse that was waiting for us . I'm actually kind of nervous, all this time I just rode Blake no other horse . But I thought that if this ordinary horse of the residence might not be so aggressive compared to the horse that the court warrior wore, I advanced to remove the bridle that tied it to the wooden pole and fixed it . I lifted my dress skirt slightly upwards, this casual dress is made of silk which is very light despite looking luxurious but very comfortable in wear . Without saying anything Curtis took the stuff and grabbed the horse rope and pulled it out of the yard and closed the rusty fence . Curtis took off the robe he was wearing and handed it to me, I immediately put on this simple cloth robe . After I finished wearing the robe, Curtis handed my violin box back to me after which he jumped easily onto the horse without holding on . I looked over in surprise at the action .

Curtis grabbed the reins with one free hand and then drove the horse quickly, I also picked up the straps with one free hand and watched the road ahead . But only an instant did I wake up and look back suddenly and accidentally the tip of my nose rubbed against Curtis's chin . Curtis was shocked, his eyes widened in surprise, a faint red hue began to spread throughout his ears . I who felt that there was nothing wrong even considered it a trivial matter and did not pay attention to Curtis's changed expression started to nag endlessly .

We continued to race the horses quickly along the way so that not yet noon we had reached Reives village, this was the second time I entered this village . I smiled and continued to greet every work we passed along the plantation road, now Curtis is just as bothered to see my behavior again, he simply sped up the horse's pace to make it to the top of the hill and put an end to his embarrassment .

After a quite tiring journey we finally reached the top of the hill, it was seen that old Mr. Lin, Elis, and the steward boy were standing waiting in front of the villa gate . Curtis slowed down the pace of the horses and stopped right in front of them, I smiled brightly and greeted them .

" Mister Lin, Elis, we meet again "cheerful

The little boy immediately approached and took control of his horse, Curtis jumped down lightly while still carrying the big basket of my picnic . Old man Lin immediately approached Curtis, he handed the big basket to Mr. Lin . When he received the picnic basket, Mr. Lin was a little surprised by the weight, he immediately carrying it with both hands .

Curtis reached out his hand to help me get down, but I didn't catch the point because I thought that I could come down easily by myself so I didn't think too much about it . So I innocently handed my violin box to his outstretched hand, Curtis frowned slightly displeased but I did not notice his expression at that moment .

Curtis took me to the Villa and Curtis put my violin box on the table in the living room and told Mr. Lin to put the picnic basket there too .

Mr. Lin put the picnic basket on the table carefully, I turned to Curtis and said .

" I'll fix my dress first" I told Curtis

I turned around and grabbed Elis who was still standing waiting for the order on the sidelines .

" Come on Elis, help me "cry me while pulling Elis' hand up the stairs to the top floor .

When running up the stairs to the 2nd floor I remembered something and loosened back down .

" I'll use the room yesterday !! " i shouted loudly at Curtis who was still downstairs with Mr. Lin

I smiled shut my eyes for a moment then turned to look at Elis who was still faithful standing behind waiting for my orders . I giggled softly, Elis was confused

I walked forward towards him, and looked around the room "The place is very comfortable" I said

Elis who finally understood my point immediately shook his head quickly then explained in haste, looking funny like a small drum .

I smiled sweetly then walked up to her and grabbed her skinny little hands that were squeezing each other nervously, Elis looked up at me in surprise and bewildered .
