In front of one of the houses, a dimensional portal appeared. Then a dragon appeared from there.

Meanwhile, inside the house. Pete seemed hesitant to come out against it. However Pedestal was more terrifying than the entire monster king. 

After all his master had reminded him to stay inside. Pete could have been stubborn and come out to face him. However, his opponent is more dangerous, leaving Pete in doubt.
