CHAPTER 63

Nicholas could not possibly shy away from the questions of the woman before him. It's also time he told me what really happened between himself and Ana, as well as the reason why he did not attend Alex's parents' wedding anniversary.

Nicholas, took a deep breath and let out slowly. He has prepared himself to tell the truth, whatever the risk.

"How can you say I wasn't on the show, you didn't see me. I understand you don't recognize me among the guests."

"Lied!" Keyla voiced out loud. From the first time he recognized the man, this was the first time he had gotten a lie from him.

"You're not good at lying, Nic, just tell me why you're not present."

"Don't cover anything from me, Nic" he added.

Keyla's tone was too forcing her to be honest. Looking around the place, Nicholas advanced himself forward and folded his arms around the table.

"First, you need to know why I can't attend the wedding anniversary of Aunt Lisa, and Om Bram because I don't want to meet Ana's parents. Second, if I attend, of course I will take Almira and my family. Maybe if I told him it would be very long," explained Nicholas as he threw his gaze aside. Since seeing Keyla was so serious about hearing that, he couldn't possibly just decide.

"Actually, I was with Ana for four years. We were both serious, at the time Ana went to London I broke off our relationship on the grounds that I was not ready for LDR, but I promised to marry her after she returned to Indonesia. By the time she got back here, she was changing with the styles of life there, Ana liked to go to clubs, drinking obscurely. I can't possibly marry a woman like that Key. One thing I didn't believe from Ana, when she told her parents I was just playing with her and had deceived her family for not marrying her, they all didn't like me. You know, Alex and I hid Ana's behavior from her family. Every time she gets drunk, Alex lends her apartment to Ana, so Ana's parents don't know she's drunk."

Keyla rounded her eyes listening to Nicholas explanation, everything sounded full of truth. But as for Ana, Keyla still doesn't believe. Really it?

Everything in Ana doesn't look like what Nicholas explains.

"Maybe you're wondering. Why can't Ana be what I'm telling her, it's because she's so smart in every situation. You take it easy, Ana is safe unlike Mira who is reckless if what she wants is not achieved." Nicholas still explained calmly, he did not want Keyla to stay away from Ana because of all the bad stories about the woman he told.

Awakened already what Keyla had in mind, all was quite logical for him. It turns out he didn't choose Nicholas wrong to be his best friend, he was a good man. Although Nicholas was hated by Ana's family, he never tried to explain the woman to anyone.

"Where is Miss Kepo, are you satisfied to hear my story?" nicholas taunted in a joking tone teasing Keyla.

Keyla sneered in annoyance, "I'm Cinderella."

Seeing Keyla's reaction, Nicholas pressed his lips that were holding back a laugh with his thumb. It's like laughing at Keyla, but then there's even angry.

"Alright, Cinderella. I want to love something with you" Nicholas said, taking something out of his pocket and handing it to Keyla.

"Invitation?" Keyla frowned in wonder.

"Nic, oh my god. Nic, is this serious? You no longer double? Are you seriously getting married?" All the questions came out just like that, when Keyla had just read the contents of the invitation that was still in her hands.

"This is Almira that we gathered together a while ago, right?" sasha asked as she continued to pay attention to all the writing on the invitation card.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Yes, finally. Congratulations, Sister Nicho." Sasha extended her hand in front of Nicholas congratulating him, and Nicholas returned Sasha's hand in a happy manner.

Still with a look of disbelief, Keyla watched Nicholas. He turned the invitation card over to make sure it was a real invitation or just a toy from Nicholas. It is unbelievable that they will get married that soon, as they remember they have just met a few months and, Almira is also still in college.

"Nic, answer me. Are you serious or are you playing me?"

"i'm serious. You're the first person I've invited, and Sasha's the second."

"What is Almira College?" keyla asked as she pressed her elbows on the table to chop up her chin.

Nicholas did the same thing as Keyla. "Everything's safe. In college, Almira was still able to continue her studies. We've also agreed to postpone having a baby until Almira graduates."

Keyla pinched both of Nicholas' cheeks, "Uh. Happy handsome Nicholas babble."

"sick." Nicholas pulls Keyla's hand to take her cheek off.

"I'm tired already."

Nicholas glanced at the watch in his hand, at 15:10. He's been spending a lot of time with Keyla, it's time for him to come back to the office. His hours of rest have exceeded the rations, Nicholas rose while tidying up his suit.

"It's the clock in, I'm back first." Nicholas said goodbye to leave them. "Oh yeah, it's money to pay for all this." He put down a few hundred thousand pieces of banknotes, before missing his steps.

"Yes, thank you for the incumbent" said Keyla as she waved her hand at Nicholas who began to move away from the two of them.

"Yes, we pay this first, ready from here and then we go home," Keyla told Sasha.

Question marks about Nicholas and Ana's relationship have been answered, all is clear. There was nothing to worry about from Nicholas, coupled with getting an invitation from him, meant there was no word of Nicholas approaching Almira just for fun. Nicholas has proven that he is a trustworthy man.
