CHAPTER 34

After dinner, Nicholas asks for time to talk to Keyla. They told Almira to leave them and not to participate in their talks.

Feeling the talk that Nicholas and Keyla wanted to talk about, Almira chose to go into the room.

At the dinner table there was only Nicholas and Keyla who sat in silence. Nicholas who he said wanted to talk to Keyla just fell silent while sliding the screen of his phone.

As well as keyla, he also quietly waited for Nicholas to start his conversation.

"Nic, what do you want to talk about?" Keyla started by asking. Because he thinks sitting in silence like now is very boring.

Nicholas breathed his long breath. In her soft hand was Keyla's hand that was in front of her.

"It's about Alex." Nicholas was short.

Hearing that name Keyla's heart again hurt, especially by remembering the child she was carrying even made her heart more sore. Hearing that name, it seemed to even make her stomach nauseous. It felt that if the man in front of him was the man called his name just wanted to scratch his face.

"Now Alex is-"

Nicholas stopped his words.

"He's... Frequently going in and out of the club. He used to not like to drink, now he often drinks on the grounds to forget you."

"Key..." Nicholas looked into his bead.

"Please, give him a chance Key. You can handle it from the beginning, fix everything. Keyla please ." Nicholas' gaze became saddened added again with a pleading tone.

"Our marriage is over." Keyla. Those words were with her tears coming down.

"When are you divorced?"

Keyla could only shake her head, she had no answer to that. Keyla knew that her marriage never ended without a word of divorce between the two. Even though their marriage contract is over, no divorce papers prove that she and Alex are separated.

Nicholas wiped away every trace of Keyla's tears that fell with his thumb. "Even though I'm no longer Alex's best friend, I still care about Alex. At least we've been friends for a long time."

"I can't go back to him yet, if I need a divorce warrant. I'll take care of it tomorrow." Keyla said.

"Don't Key, don't. We've punished him enough like this not to add any more. I'm afraid of Alex." Nicholas was so very pleading with Keyla.

Keyla pulled her hand from Nicholas's. Then, the hand touched her still flat stomach. His head followed the direction where his hand was, his heart would be destroyed so much if Alex did not want to acknowledge the child he was carrying. So in anticipation of that not happening, Keyla prefers not to go back to Alex.

There's no way Keyla's going back to Alex right now, about her heart does she still love Alex? Or does he want Alex to find him?

Regarding love, I don't know now Keyla has forgotten that feeling. After finding out the cause of Alex venting his lust to Keyla, now Keyla can not distinguish which one hates which one is love. If the feeling of wanting to meet, the feeling is always in his mind. He was eager to see Alex and see how he looked now. Is it still flat like it used to be? Still indifferent to Keyla?

"Right now I can still hide you here because I want to see Alex to what extent to look for you. It turns out that he's actually you're pretty far away Key, he's a dumb guy who can't find you who's actually still nearby,"

"Please give that stupid man one more chance. We all want to see Alex who is always dashing, and always handsome looks back again. Not Alex now, we've all missed Alex."

With a deep breath, closing both eyes. "Give me time to think." Said Keyla who had just spoken after just silently listening to Nicholas talk.

"What about this kid? is Alex going to admit it or accuse me of anything. Inner Keyla.

Nicholas looked at Keyla earnestly. "I really hope you're going back to Alex. Only you can change the life of Alex now, who ruined her life so much without you."

"You are the source of his life. Ever since you left, me or even all of us could clearly feel the pain Alex felt from your departure."

"I'm scared." Keyla said with a blank look.

"I'm afraid he'll come back to Mira, the woman he loves. Alex's love for Mira is huge, it's huge. So that a huge betrayal committed by Mira can he forgive."

Hearing what Keyla said, Nicholaa shook her head. "That was before he realized that you were more important in his life. I'm no longer friends with Alex, but I know everything from Anton. I'll bring Anton here if you need to. You can ask how Alex is now, even he no longer cares about Mira. Now he just needs you."

Feeling that there was nothing more that Nicholas wanted to say stood up from his seat.

He walked towards the spot where Keyla, his hand touching Keyla's shoulder.

"It seems like it's almost midnight, I go home first. Oh yeah, before I go home I want to see Almira. Where's she?" Nicholas feels that he misses Almira's attitude, where the girl's behavior can always make him entertained.

"He's in his room."

"Can I meet him?"

Keyla nodded as she got up in her seat. He walked into Almira's room, as did Nicholas.

Keyla slowly opened the door to Almira's room. "He's asleep."

"Tomorrow you'll come again, it looks like he's tired all day taking care of it"

Nicholas turned his head to hear Keyla speak. "What does he take care of? Nicholas asked who felt what Keyla said was hanging.

"Take care of the job, that's what I mean. He's tired of doing his job all day." Keyla makes excuses. He almost slipped to say that Almira took care of him all day.

"Well, if I go home. Take good care of yourself."

Keyla led Nicholas to the front door.

Keyla waved her hand as Nicholas started his car engine.

"Be careful, Nic. Don't forget it's already midnight." Remember Keyla to Nicholas.

After Nicholas left Keyla locked the door, because no one else would come out. Keyla walked over to sit on the sofa near her, which is why her heart told her she could not go back to Alex. Keyla felt that his loneliness had made him better than having to be with Alex.
