Born to Disappear

Born to Disappear
Chapter 69

Xie Shaosheng was overwhelmed with panic. Just a moment ago, when Hualing had improved after the attack, they retreated towards a quieter place. He had just exhaled a sigh of relief when Hualing again groaned in pain. The skin of his young sister looked paler with tensed muscles.

Xie Shaosheng just stood there watching Hualing trying to roll himself into a ball, because right now his brain was too empty to rush over and call for help.

Painful moans rang out again, Xie Shaosheng tried to calm himself down. He can't panic, junior sister is in pain.

Xie Shaosheng took Hualing's wrist, and measured his pulse gently, so afraid that his actions would slightly overdo the pain of his young sister.

"Third brother, it won't work." Hualing spoke softly and disjointedly when he sensed Xie Shaosheng channeling Qi. He tried to pull his hand from Xie Shaosheng's loose grasp, but the pain managed to weaken all of his strength.

"Wouldn't know before I try!" Xie Shaosheng replied for sure, but Hualing's discomfort didn't seem to diminish with time. As the Qi he channeled evaporated into thin air.

"Call the teacher," Hualing answered more softly, his breathing faltering as his consciousness faded.

"Hold on!" As reminded, Xie Shaosheng immediately took out a communication device, briefing his teacher on Hualing's condition.

"Xiao Xie's? What's wrong?" The voice of the second peak Master echoed frantically from the communication device, his third disciple suddenly stopped talking and a loud voice sounded from across. The voice sounded like a collision of a communication device with a hard object.

"Xiao Xie!"

The sound of the call still rang out from the communication device lying on the grass, while the owner stood stiffly facing the cold stone where Hualing had previously been leaning.

"Xiao Xie's! What's wrong? Where's Ling'er?" The second peak master asked as soon as his foot stepped on the ground, ignoring his oldest disciple who was left far behind.

"Third sister, where's Ling'er?" Han Siyu who was left behind for a while repeated his teacher's statement.

"Lost,"

The brows of the two comers furrowed deeply, not understanding the intent of the one word that was ejected from Xie Shaosheng's lips.

"Why can it be lost?" Han Siyu asked representing her teacher.

"What's wrong before it disappears?"

"He's in pain. Although there was no abnormality from the pulse, but his spiritual energy was in chaos. Ling'er said it was not due to internal injuries. I don't know if Ling'er's disappearance has anything to do with 'it'." Xie Shaosheng looked at his eldest brother and teacher in turn. He was a little hesitant to talk about Hualing's affairs.

His current teacher was a figure standing at the top of the pyramid amongst cultivators with knowledge accumulated over hundreds of years. Amongst that knowledge should be a speck of light for the Hualing situation.

Xie Shaosheng looked at the face of the man who had saved him from the streets, taking care of him like a son, protecting him under his wings. Then looked at Han Siyu who was still anticipating his answer.

He knows they care. They were worried about Hualing just like him.

Although not connected blood, but the bond between them is so tight.

So it shouldn't be a problem.

"Actually,"

...****************...

"Teacher, this?" Bai Fengying looked at her teacher in confusion, then looked back at the figure standing in the middle of the array.

The figure stood unmoved, like a lifeless clay statue with an empty eye highlight.

"Maybe this artifact has not only given birth to consciousness, but has managed to condense consciousness into a complete entity."

"Truly hard to believe!"

Yep! It was really hard to believe, it turned out that the easiest direct disciple of Master breaking the void was a complete entity of a heavenly artifact!
