Born to Disappear

Born to Disappear
Chapter 1

Mortal man described the ninth heaven filled with a jade goddess with the sound of a magpie singing, flying among the clouds and seducing butterflies. The entire ground was covered in colorful flowers with a blue sky as the roof. The immortals would pluck the zither with the sleeves of the wide robe spread out at the side, the clinking wine cups and the immortal air of the offering incense.

In fact, some of the images of the ninth heaven are true. But that doesn't apply to the moment.

Dark clouds extend from the eastern horizon to the western horizon. Every now and then a thunder clap sounded, the jade cup within the grasp of a blue-clothed immortal came loose. Tinkling loudly when hitting the floor. The immortal rushed out of his palace, looking up. The blue sky with white clouds floating now disappeared, in place of the dark clouds hanging. Not because of the night, because the ninth heaven has no night but only twilight.

The black clouds moved, flocking in one direction the same. It was the war god palace of Xue Yuan Qing!

"Geez!" He screeched as the dark clouds grew more and more coiled up. The ever-bright ninth heaven seemed to lose all rays. Thunder was heard again several times, this event reminded the immortal when he was about to ascend to the ninth heaven. Reminds him of the heavenly tribulation that every cultivator will go through.

Dark everywhere. The blue-clothed immortal flicked his toe, moving tens of meters away in an instant approaching where the dark clouds gathered.

Several other immortals had arrived, watching the black clouds that continued to roll over the war god palace. There was no friendly greeting they exchanged, there was only a deep frown on each other's forehead.

"How did it become like this?" The voice attracted the attention of the immortals, they saluted in unison to the golden-robed Sky Lord with a crown of beaded curtains.

"In response to the Celestial Emperor, my Master is refining a heaven-level artifact. My master called it the Destiny-breaking Bell. This thing can flip through space and time without warning the heavenly law."

An instantaneous breath sounded as the immortal servant of the war god spoke. To create a heaven-defying artifact like this, it would not be wrong to be able to attract the thunder of tribulation, warning the heavenly laws.

As if answering the thoughts of the immortals, thunder boomed, purple lightning crackled. It snatched from the hanging dark sky, forming cracks in the sky, grabbing everything it touched. Loud explosions rang out from the war god palace, the tree on the side of the lush courtyard instantly turned into a misty branch smelling of smoke.

A powerful aura spread out, suppressing the immortals. Forcing them to step back, standing in the distance.

This is the heavenly law!

The thunder again boomed and purple lightning struck, this time blowing up the sturdy roof of the palace.

The purple fireworks tub that was continuously being embroidered, lightning struck repeatedly. Tyrannical aura accumulated, forcing the immortals to drop knees.

After ninety-nine purple lightning strikes, the black clouds slowly spread out and disappeared leaving behind raindrops. The originally gray sky now regained its color, the speck of rain soaked the brocade robes of the immortals.

Every drop of water contained a rich immortal energy, rejuvenating every scorched plant. Recovering injuries due to the coercion of the heavenly law.

Although the heavenly tribulation had ended, no immortal had enough courage to enter the war god palace. And not needing to wait for long, a man dressed in purple stepped out.

The man had a fair face with stern jaws and phoenix eyes. Lips formed a straight line, making his fair face appear cold and detached like eternal ice on a mountain peak.

The tip of his clothes looked ragged camping as if it had burned. There was a tear on his right arm with a red liquid dripping between his fingers. A jade bell was in the grasp of his left hand, it should have been an artifact that had just been perfected with ninety-nine heavenly thunders.

Destiny breaker bells.

He exclaimed at the thousands of soldiers in black armor in the back. Thousands of soldiers with horns or scales stormed increasingly brutal at his call.

A black energy full of hatred was emanating from each of them.

Across, soldiers in white armor tried to block. Prevent the enemy from invading.

“Do not let the devil win!” A young man rode a horse with a spear in hand. The silver armor seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, some red and black marks stained some places. His fair face was full of fighting spirit.

“Do not let the devil win!” the soldier behind him answered the call.

Two fortresses advanced on the field, dust billowing. Spear and sword swing, reaping the life of the opponent. Red and black blood spilled into one, dyeing the ground brown to blackish. Skin breaking, severed limbs become a common sight.

Shouts of spirit and roars melted in the field of shura.

The sky was closed, the clouds hanging with drops of water as if grieving. Light spots turn into heavy splashing, rinsing away the dirt and rancid that spread.

The figure of the man standing floated at a height with a purple robe covered in golden armor. His face did not show any expression but the gaze of his pair of eyes looked pushy. Clear streams flowed down the cheeks and chin, it was unclear whether they were tears or raindrops.

Xue Hualing was speechless, he looked around in confusion. The place it was in only had one color, it was a cold white as far as the eye could see. It looked like a cave filled with ice and snow. Black stone walls were almost no longer visible, only white and white.

He looked up, a dazzling light striking the eyes. Hualing raised his arms, dispelling the bright light. Between his fingers he saw a tall blue.

Hualing's forehead wrinkled, his lips pursed. Hualing remembered correctly, he was the servant of the supreme god Xue Yuan Qing the war god in the ninth heaven. He was the only servant allowed to follow the supreme god wherever he went. He also recalled that a while ago he was still accompanying his god in the study room. So why is he in this cold all-white place now?

Hualing stood up then lowered his head, looking at the white foot with round and pink fingers curled up for a while and walking towards the surroundings with his barefoot stepping on the soft snow.

This place was extremely strange, there was no immortal energy in the air. This environment was more like the mortal realm he had once visited with his gods

Hualing kept going. The sound of rushing water was clearly heard in his ears. He followed the direction of the sound, a low waterfall was seen in front. Clear water running through white frozen walls. A small pond seemed to accommodate the swift running water. A white lotus rested at the edge of the pond bathed in the light from the gap that opened on the roof of the cave.

A fragrant aroma tickled his nose. Hualing approached, his slender finger touching the soft petals of the lotus. Making drops of water flow down from the petals strands, splashing and forming ripples around the leaves are quiet. Hualing brought the nose closer, trying to inhale that pleasant fragrant aroma. He closed his eyes, then opened after feeling quite smelling.

Both sides of Hualing's lips opened, looking right and left around the pond. The white lotus had disappeared.

He raised his hand when he felt something within his grasp, it was a sprig of lotus seeds.

Hualing did not understand how a single flower could simply disappear, and a single lotus seed appeared in his hand. However he was reluctant to think about it so he walked away, looking for a way out of this white cave.
