Born to Disappear

Born to Disappear
Chapter 60

Hualing stood in front of the opening window, looking at Xie Shaosheng who was drifting away with lethargic steps. A cold mountain night wind blew, blowing away its black strands. Carrying a bone-freezing coldness to his heart.

Now the worst thing he had thought of came true, not only was his original form not obtained but was discovered by the other party.

The bad news, the Sky sect that obtained the Destiny-breaking Bell had already known what kind of thing was in their hands.

The good news, he had a clear goal of where to look without having to reverse the entire vast cultivation world.

However, with his current strength it would be difficult to take back the destiny-breaking Bell. If taking it from Bai Fengying, it wasn't a difficult matter, but it would be different if taking it from the hands of the Heaven's Path sect master.

Back then, when the ground became the battlefield of shura, he stood in the middle of the battle like air. His figure was transparent, demons and cultivators pierced through his body without a hitch. And in the midst of shock he saw two figures who could fight as much as possible to find a gap and retreat from the war. The young one was Bai Fengying whom he hadn't seen for several years and the older one was the master of the Sky sect he had seen in the meetings between sects.

Two confused people were forced to fight, taking hundreds of moves before being able to step back and get out of the war, then all faded. He's back to reality.

Hualing kneaded his pain-pulsing temple. With his current strength it would be impossible to seize forcefully, if that was Yuan Qing there was still a chance to succeed even with injuries. However, he did not wish to implicate Yuan Qing in this matter. Not because it was too dangerous, but also because the man was about to enter closed cultivation after returning from his place a moment ago.

There was actually still one more person who was definitely able to take back the fate-breaking bell and that person was his teacher, Cao Ping. The only ancestor breaking the void at this moment. However, Hualing was unable to implicate him due to his sensitive identity. Cao Ping represented the Soaring Cloud sect, and the act of seizing artifacts from other sects would certainly cause discontent. Although those people did not dare to move openly, the slanted talk could not be avoided. And Hualing didn't want such a thing to happen.

Apparently, he still had to think of a way to get the destiny-breaking Bell of the Sky sect alone.

...****************...

The night passed, the dark sky was now dim with dark clouds hanging down. The smell of moist water carried by the wind, brings a cool sensation, stroking the cheeks.

Hualing walked calmly into the courtyard of the main hall of Green Bamboo peak. His steps were light, not at all hasty. An old man was sitting in front of a table full of sweet dishes that were each full of dense spiritual energy.

"Teacher," Hualing gave an appropriate salute then got up with his back straight.

"Sit down, help this old man finish the cake." Cao Ping waved his hand, hinting Hualing to come closer and sit down before him. "Eat this, it's so delicious!" he then pushed a plate of red berry cake.

Hualing reached out, picked up a piece of cake and tasted it. The cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the middle part is fresh red berries made into jam. Sweet and slightly sour taste melts, balancing without dominance.

"That's delicious."

Cao Ping stroked his white beard and then replied back proudly, "Shaosheng's cooking has never disappointed."

The corners of Hualing's lips curved on both sides, slightly amused by the attitude of this teacher.

"Actually Ling'er came to leave something to the teacher," Ling'er said, wasting no time in conveying the purpose of his arrival. He took out a small purple bell and placed it in the center of the table.

"I got it from the Secret Realm of the Eternal Profound Tomb Shui Xing shared the map towards the ruins. I think it's best the teacher helps to keep it."

Cao Ping looked back more closely. If this was just an ordinary object, Hualing would not look nervous. Moreover this bell came from an incredible place, so it was impossible if it was just an ordinary object.

"Eternal Majesty Shui Xing gave it to you, it should be good for you. So you don't have to take it to the teacher." Cao Ping said, refusing to accept it. Not because of suspicion, but because it was given to his students. So even though he was so curious, he could only suppress it.

Hualing pushed the Blue Flower Bell closer to Cao Ping and said, "This bell is called the Blue Flower Bell. It looked ordinary, but it included a heaven-level artifact created with the Destiny Breaking Bell. If I have it, it's not good enough."

Cao Ping's old face revealed a horrified look, his outstretched hand about to touch the small bell was held up in the air and then pulled quickly. It was as if what was on the table was not an extraordinary artifact but a poisonous snake, "an object so precious, it certainly should not be given back!"

"What if teacher helps Ling'er to keep it? Such a valuable artifact, with my current abilities, is afraid that it will attract hatred." Hualing said later, still trying to persuade Cao Ping.

Cao Ping was speechless, as he was seriously considering the words of his young disciple, "alright, the teacher will keep it for you so you will have to train harder in order to take it back." Said compromise.

"Yes, of course. The teacher should always carry it, never leave it even for a moment." Hualing reminded, making Cao Ping look at him with a question mark on his face.

"You leave it to the teacher, of course this old man must keep it safe in a secret place."

"Teachers can keep it inside the space ring, just make sure to always be with the teacher." Hualing reminded me a second time.

"Ling'er, can you tell me the truth why you gave such an amazing thing to me?"

"Since Ling'er feels disinclined to say so, then let this disciple do the talking." Two people, the teacher and the disciple saw Xie Shaosheng entering the hall. His steps were steady without a doubt, "Teacher."

"Shaosheng, sit here. You must be tired of walking back and forth to the main hall."Cao Ping lightly patted the bench on the side, hinting for Xie Shaosheng to sit there.

"Thank you teacher,"

"So quickly tell me, why does your little sister continue to urge this old man to possess such an incredible artifact?" Cao Ping asked impatiently.

"It's not something extraordinary, it's just because this little bell is the original form of this disciple." Xie Shaosheng gave a short answer, but right at the core then looked at his teacher's furrowed brows. The man's face was full of confusion then changed with a look of disbelief.

Unable to bear to see Cao Ping's suspicious look back and forth between himself and Xie Shaosheng, Hualing decided to open his mouth. Telling everything he knows without even mentioning the fate-breaking Bell as his true form.

"The Blue Flower Bell will not reveal its power as long as there is no trigger, so the teacher can keep it quiet. Be sure to be careful not to scratch it or a third brother could get hurt." Hualing ended his long explanation.

"Ling'er, don't overdo it." Xie Shaosheng rebuked Hualing, feeling what his young sister said was like a threat to their teacher.

"Don't rebuke your fifth brother, what he says is the truth. Since this Blue Flower Bell is your original form, then the damage to it will also have an impact on you." Cao Ping scowled his temple, who knew that the disciple he took turned out to be a form of consciousness from an artifact.
