BLUE PLANET

BLUE PLANET
REUNITED

“You're here again?” a voice rang out as Venera arrived at the park.

Venera turned his head, and found the Marxists had been where they had met yesterday. He seemed to be standing still as if he was waiting for something.

“What's the reason?” venera answered and then threw away her face, remembering their first meeting yesterday which began with tension. “This place is not yours.”

“Yes, indeed this place is not mine,” replied the Marxist calmly. “I just meant to greet you.”

Venera just stood still and walked slowly to the grass. Marxists followed and equalled Venera's move.

For a while they walked together without speaking. Busy to watch the atmosphere around them.

“Why do you always carry those things?” Finally Venera turned his attention to the Marxists and pointed to the objects that the Marxists carried on his hands and back.

“This?  It's an arrow bow. My weapon,” is clearly Marxist. “We Martian always carry this everywhere.”

“Weapons?  Is that a weapon? What is it for?” ask Venera.

“To hunt,” answered Marxists, “and defend ourselves if we are attacked by a wild animal.”

“What is that? What is hunting?” ask Venera again.

“The beast is an animal that can attack and injure us,” explained Marxists again, “and hunting it is an activity carried out to find and kill animals in the forest. To be eaten.”

“What?” exclaimed Venera surprised. ”Very well you guys!  Pity those animals!”

The Marxists stopped their steps and looked at Venera in surprise. “Evil? But... The animals are there to be eaten?”

“But ..” Venera tried to argue.

“Then we have to eat what if not kill animals?” Marxists asked back. “If only plants, there will not be enough energy for us to do daily activities."

Venera silently frowned.

"Indeed, what do you Venusians eat?” ask Marxists.

“We eat green herbs, red fruits, and tube food,” Venera replied.

“Food tube?” Marxists cringing. "What's that?"

“Sort of a mixture of some foodstuffs that have been crushed until smooth, then put into a tube. Can be processed again into various types of food,” Venera explained.

“Oh .. so.” Marxists nod, but do not understand. Then continue the steps, followed by Venera.

“What are all animals on Mars... can be killed and can be eaten?” venera asked still with a frown.

“Pegasus? What else is it?” ask Venera.

“Our leader's mount. Black-haired, four-legged, long and sturdy neck, mane and bushy tail hair, as well as wide wings. They are honorable beings" explains Marxist.

“Hmm..” Venera thinks for a moment. “It looks like the creature you're describing is similar in shape to the unicorn on Venus. The unicorn has no wings. They only had threaded horns on top of their heads, as well as a bluish-white fur color. And they are not to be ridden either. Even from what I heard, the Unicorns lived in the garden of Queen Ishtar's palace. But I don't know for sure about it, because no one knows exactly where the Queen's palace is.”

"Ishtar's Queen? Who's that?" Marxists asked back.

"Our leader is on Venus" replied Venera. "We never knew where he lived. It's a secret you can't find out."

“Ah, we did too,” said Marxists. “Nobody knows where King Ares' palace is. He always came suddenly with a shield of fire covering him, and landed in the middle of the field riding a pegasus as the mass hunting ceremony began."

“Fire shield? King Ares is the leader on Mars, huh? What's her face like?” asked Venera curiously. “Are you guys allowed to look at it?”

“No,” replied Marxist, “it is strictly prohibited.”

“Ah, it turns out the same. None of us Venusians know what the Queen's face is. We are all required to bend down every time he comes.”

“Well, of course,” says Marxist. “Learn I thought, we must not look at the face of our leader. Then, what about your residence? Likewhat? Try telling me.”

Venera nodded and took a deep breath. “We are all Venusians, numbering four thousand, living in two large circular and pointed-roofed buildings, all made of white glass. The two buildings were located in the middle of a vast meadow. We call it Eosphorus Dormitory and Hesperus Dormitory. Each dormitory building is divided into four parts, according to the direction of the wind. East Dormitory, West Dormitory, North Dormitory and South Dormitory. Each dormitory has a Great Hall room in the center, which we use for gathering and dining together. Queen Ishtar has a special throne within each of the Great Hall for one day visit every two month periods. One month period for the Eosphorus Dormitory, then the next period for the Hespherus Dormitory, and back again alternately for the next. In the front third of the Great Hall, there were classrooms that we used to study, and a large lounge with plenty of places to sit and talk during the break. But if the day is very bright, sometimes we also play in the park outside the dorm. Then the remaining two thirds of the circle of the dormitory building were our bedroom rooms. All classrooms, lounges, and bedrooms have wide windows with clear glass facing outwards. On the upper floor was the residence of the members of the God of Supervisory who had totaled two hundred venusians for one Dormitory. I heard they got very nice facilities and were much more comfortable than us. My residence is located in the Western Eosphorus Dormitory. I slept one room with my best friend, Vla.”

“Hmm... seems to be very interesting place you live,” said Marxist, a little surprised to see Venera did not seem out of breath after talking at length quickly without such a pause.

“Ya, right. What about you?  What's your place on Mars like?” Venera asked back.

Marxists answer. “On Mars, we live in small square buildings made of black, slightly reddish colored stone. There are a great number of such buildings on Mars, as each building is only to be inhabited by two Martians. All buildings stand in line and are divided into several sectors. I live with my best friend Melvian in sector 507.”

“Wah, small buildings of stone?” Venera tried to imagine it. ”Then, do you guys have no place to gather together?”

“There," replied the Marxist. "A very large square building. It is located right in the middle of the buildings for residence. We use it only once in a while, for example to eat together after a mass hunting event. If only for daily meals, we always cultivate it ourselves; depending on what we get that day."

"Well, do you make your own food every day?" venera asked in amazement, remembering that the venusians had a Health and Food Supervisory Board that always prepared food for them every day.

"Yes." Yeah." Marxists nodded. "We have a place to process game animals on the front page of our respective residence. A place of burning to light a fire."

"So any time you're just eating alone with your roommate?" ask Venera.

Marxists shuffle. "Not always. Usually at dinner time, we exchange food while visiting other friends.”

“Hmm. It seems so exciting that your life is there. Well, except about the animals you eat." Venera shuddered a little.

“Then if the forest on Mars that you said it was, like what, anyway?” ask Venera again.
