Bloody Weekend

Bloody Weekend
Chapter 25

During the course of Larkspur many put forward his theory theory. It's just that his tone sounds a bit pessimistic.

"Honestly Miss Hope I don't like things like this. Last year I got the same thing. The victim was a famous lawyer . He has a history of heart disease and must take medication at all times of an attack. His wife was a rather old-fashioned woman and very happy gardening. At one time the wife exchanged the medicine bottle of the husband with ordinary vitamins. Then when there was an attack, of course, the husband died because his heart medication was exchanged. The doctor who treated him finally found out his medicine had been exchanged. We started asking even though it looked like it was going round and round, but we knew how to deal with it."

"So you think it was Mrs Hamilton who shot her husband ?"

Larkspur looked at Eloise in surprise

"So you don't think it's like that ?"

Eloise slowly replied

"It could be like that too."

Inspector Larkspur shrugged his shoulders.

"It's possible but to be honest such a story can't be believed."

He looked at the old Eloise and said

"You actually think so too. You also think the killer is Mrs Hamilton. "

Eloise Hope let out her heavy sigh and then she closed both her eyes and imagined that her self was coming from the path of the roof. Morris was next to him . Natasha Hamilton kneels in front of her husband Peter Hamilton holding a gun. Her face was blank as if she had no emotions and well as Larkspur said that the first time she saw this she thought that it was Natasha who killed her husband.

But it was strangely different.

Does Natasha Hamilton look like a wife who would kill her husband ? At least this is what Inspector Larkspur wanted to know the most.

And to Eloise's great surprise, she realizes that even during her police career she has dealt with violent criminals, but never once did she deal with the woman who killed her husband. What else is a woman who has no emotions like Natasha Hamilton. How should a woman kill her husband ? Smiling happily ? Or roar and cry like crazy ? Or harboring fear? Or not having any feelings ? Must be one of these.

Inspector Larkspur continued to speak, but Eloise did not appreciate it. Just his last word

"I think we'll be able to get a point of light on this case and the usual servants are capable."

"Will Mrs Hamilton return to London ?"

"I think so because he still leaves two children in London. But we'll be watching him closely. Maybe he thinks he's free but it's impossible. After all I think she's a less intelligent and dazed woman."

Eloise Hope thinks she's dying to know what Natasha Hamilton thinks? What will the Cavendish family do? According to Eloise herself Natasha is like a dazed woman and well indeed a bit less intelligent. Her reaction was very slow and confused due to her husband's death.

They were already on a big road.

Eloise stood in front of her house. Inspector Larkspur said

"Is this your home Miss Hope ? Nice house and looks comfortable. Excuse me Miss Hope. Thank you for your help, if there's any time I'll stop by your place in London and report the progress of the case."

His eyes looked at the house next to Eloise.

"Whose house is it ? Is that your neighbor?"

"If her name is not wrong Karen Clark. She's a famous model. He arrived here probably about three days ago."

"Oh yeah of course she's a model rumored to be close to a Hong Kong billionaire."

He turned away.

"Well, I'll go first Miss Hope. See you soon."

*******

Inspector Larkspur returns to the Cavendish family home. He's in William Cavendish's study.

Inspector Larkspur put the gun on William Cavendish's desk.

"Can I see her ?" William Cavendish took the object.

Larkspur nodded his head.

"It was found in a fish pond. Unfortunately his fingerprints there are already erased . Miss West shouldn't have rashly dropped her into a fish pond ."

"Yes I understand but please also understand at that time all in a state of tension and easily surprised."

Inspector Larkspur nodded his head and said.

"When from the outside it does not look like that. I think Miss West is the kind of person who is cold-minded and calm."

Larkspur said it in a casual tone . But somehow made William Cavendish stare at him.

Then Inspector Larkspur continued again

"Do you recognize him ?"

William matched the serial number of the gun with the list he had held. After finding and matching her. He sighed

"It really comes from my collection."

"When did you last see her ?"

"Every night when we were shooting and this was one of those guns."

"Who uses it ?

"I think everyone. "

"Mrs Hamilton too?"

"Yes Natasha also shot with us."

"And after you've all finished shooting?"

"I returned all those guns here. In this glass cabinet for the shotgun and the special pistol is in this drawer."

In her drawer downstairs from her work desk. There were about five guns there.

"This is all your collection Mr. William Cavendish . It seems like quite a lot."

"It is my hobby to collect firearms, especially antique ones."

Inspector Larkspur looked at the former police commissioner's face . William Cavendish used to be a police commissioner before stepping down from his post about five years ago. Eloise Hope also served under William Cavendish. In addition, he was also told quite a lot by his superiors about the work that used to be done by William Cavendish.

"When you put the gun back in, the bullet was taken out, wasn't it ?"

"Of course."

"Where do you keep the bullets?"

"In this closet."

In instead of a large closet and in his out a wooden box that is lined with velvet in dark blue.

It's easy to think Larkspur . Everyone including Mrs Hamilton knows that the bullet was stored here. He easily stayed in this room when there was no one, took the gun and the bullet and brought it out of this room. Usually women have a great sense of jealousy. And she believes the reason Natasha Hamilton shot her husband was jealousy.
