43. Bitter Reality

Max breaks the table right in front of Leo, his anger building as the middle-aged man uncovers the one truth he's looking for.

" Bryan's wife is Adinda Hartawan, daughter of your uncle Max,"

Instantly his head throbbed like a hammer hit with a terrible shock. The fact about Bryan alone has made him shocked coupled with new facts that are more stifling. It was very difficult for him to accept, someone close to him was actually the person involved in the conspiracy.

Remembering Bryan's services he agreed even half-heartedly. She feels guilty for Alina but the guilt is slightly lessened when Max meets her. He welcomed the man's intention to approach Alina.

Max sighed, he looked at Leo with a glance trying to find a lie there, he caught no sincerity especially when Leo expressed his regret for contributing to hurt the feelings of the girl Max loved. Moreover, Leo already considers Alina like his own daughter.

Max knows for sure how Leo treated the girl, even the man did not hesitate to defend Alina before everyone including in front of Mahira the sister-in-law who was always looking for trouble with Alina. Leo himself sent Mahira back out of the country after the incident Alina collapsed at the office at that time.

" Everything I say is true Max, nothing I cover up, apart from our relationship as your partner and Alina I already consider a child, you are my favorite partner," leo said before leaving.

Max voiced his confusion, one by one objects on the table scattered in all directions. Adrian understands the condition, and lets Max let go of his tits.
