The dazzling white light was already gone, along with Renata who entered into the novel.
Renata opened her eyes. However, the first thing he saw was darkness, a room that felt empty.
"Where am I?" muttered Renata confused.
Where should he go now? Why are you in the dark like this? Did he really make it into the novel?
"Hey."
Renata immediately turned to the origin of the voice. And immediately, his eyes opened wide when he saw a figure similar to him.
"You-you, you...?" renata's words got stuck in his throat because he was so surprised.
The figure smiled sweetly, "I'm Angel. I'll show you the way."
"Angel's? You're the real Angel?"
Whatisthis? Why would Renata meet the real Angel in a place like this?
"Yes," Angel nodded, "Let's follow me," she turned away.
"Eh? Wh-wait! Where are you going?"
Although confused, Renata has no choice but to follow, Angel's body glows white to make Renata have no trouble following him.
"Angel you're alive? Where have you been all this time?" renata asked with curiosity that had been stored, because the existence of Angel's soul that suddenly disappeared was really mysterious.
Angel looked back to look at Ranata, then looked back to the front, "I'm gone."
Renata immediately aligned her steps next to Angel, "But how can..."
"I've given my life to you, the second life you want" Angel jolted Renata's heart.
"You sacrificed yourself for me?" asked Renata not to believe her hearing.
"It can be said that way. We are one anyway."
"You mean?" stunned, still stunned and stunned by what Angel said.
"I am the other you" replied Angel smiling.
"But you're just a character in a novel."
"Yes, but I'm the one you created in the novel."
Angel's steps stopped, and so did Renata.
Angel's index finger was pointing towards the greenish-colored light ahead, "That's the road you have to cross next, I can only get you here."
"But what about you?"
"I'm going to disappear," Angel answered smiling broadly, "Look down, I'll be fine."
Renata nodded. Then shut up, not moving to go to the light Angel showed.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up, you can't stay here too long, you can get stuck in this dark place."
"Are you really okay?"
Isn't Angel too nice? It could be just giving up his life for Renata.
Renata feels bad, and again Angel will disappear.
"I'm really okay," Angel smiled again, actually she was a cheerful girl, but circumstances made her shrouded in sadness, "I was very happy, actually, because you've changed the tragic fate of an antagonist like myself. Thanks for everything."
Renata smiles, thank God Angel is happy.
"Please take care of Father and Brother Zayn for me!" exclaims Angel while pushing Renata's body towards the light.
"Yes." answered Renata.
"True, you have done well" Angel said.
Renata began to step towards that greenish light.
"Take care of yourself, Renata."
Beeping... Beeping... Beeping...
The sound of a heart detector attached to Renata's body, was heard filling the room. A voice that can cut hearts.
For fifty-three days Mr. J waited for his wife in the hospital, as long as Renata did not open her eyes.
The state of Jefra Tjong looks no better than Renata. The man never took care of himself in the least, Mr. J also rarely fed himself, and the office business was left to Arvin.
Because he only thought about Renata.
"Would you have dinner first? You haven't eaten anything all day. Grandpa was worried you were sick, J," Grandpa Ashon worriedly told Mr. J, who was sitting on the side seat of the gurney
"Later. I still want to be here. I think Renata will soon wake up, so I'll be with him in a moment" replied Mr. J. tampa turning towards where Grandpa Ashton was.
Ashton looked silently at Mr. J. The eyes with lines of wrinkles were staring at the Grandson with glee. His tired face was grimly. His heavy breathing sounded heavy. Whether it's a sigh of fatigue or resignation with the situation.
"Do you want to buy food? So you can eat here while accompanying Renata?" the older brother tried to persuade Mr. J.
"No need, Cake. Later, I will eat with Renata, when she wakes up. Grandpa should just go home. It's five o'clock in the afternoon, Grandpa should go home, right?"
Ashton was silent for a moment before giving an answer, after seeing the circular watch on his wrist. Now, it's five o'clock in the afternoon past ten minutes.
"Yes" replied the weak grandfather.
Dusk rays with a slightly reddish orange color down through the window, indicating that the day began in the evening.
The phone on the table was grabbed, and then pocketed by Grandpa Ashton. Then step up to open the door. Stop for a moment to look at Mr. J.
"You don't keep going like this, J. Think health. Precisely at times like this, people around him should try to eat and sleep regularly. You understand, don't you?"
"Yes..."
"Alright, Grandpa go home first. Tomorrow Grandpa will come again" said Ashton resigned.
There was nothing Grandpa Ashton could do but surrender and hope that a miracle really existed. So that the thing that provides this is over soon.
Blams
The sound of the door closing left silence. There was no other sound, other than the sound of a constant heart detector.
Seconds passed leaving minutes, minutes passed leaving hours. The night passes through silence.
Like the days before. Tonight, too, Mr. J is still sitting by Renata's side. Waiting and continuing to hope. His heart was so certain that his wife would soon be awakened, because Renata was a strong and strong woman. Of course his wife would not give up in her current critical condition.
And Mr. J, won't give up waiting for Renata to wake up. How long it takes.
"Dear, it's the fifty-third day you fell asleep. How much longer do I have to wait, hmm?"
Mr. J stroked Renata's fingers gently. I really hope that the fingers respond by moving.
However, nil.
"I'll keep you company, you take it easy, honey. I will stay by your side. Always keep and keep you company."
Mr. J's voice was so heavy as to say that. Until the lips tremble. Squeezing tears filled his pitch-black eyeballs.
Isak Tuan J covered his face with both palms, hiding his destruction.
"Jefra?" the little cry made Mr. J's sobs stop.
However, the man's body was stiff only to raise his head to make sure.
"Jefra.." Renata called out his name in awe.
Mr. J immediately looked up, displaying a stiff face to make sure if his hearing was not wrong. His mouth was wide open with eyes that were about to pop out due to his shock. Although his face was still in tears, he did not care as long as he could see his beloved wife awake.
The black and brown eyeballs clashed in one look.
Renata smiled with teary eyes.
"Why is your face so moody? Makes me want to cry too..."
