Lontara 08: The Battle of Andros

Finally Andros and Qian stood at a distance of 10 meters.

A referee stood in the middle of them.

"Note your Name, Age, origin and Magic Elements." The referee gave orders.

"Qian, 16 years old, from the Natural Valley Sect, the Wind, Water, and Earth Element magic." Qia looked down respectfully.

"Andros, 15 years old, from the Blue Lake Village, Magic without elements" Andros bowed respectfully.

The spectators became boisterous, they did not know if there was magic without elements, some of them started to be convinced and placed bets for Andros. While the natives of the village started placing bets for Qian.

"Hey, just install it for that brat named Andros, that elementless magic seems to be powerful. I've never heard of it either."

"You're crazy, placing a bet on something as obscure as that. It's the same as buying a cat in a sack."

"It's obvious that Qian is superior, he only has three elements on his root spirit, isn't he talented as a sorcerer?"

The bettors immediately moved to the Qian camp, while a small part of them could only hope that Andros came out as a winner.

"Start!!"

The match began andros mounted the horses and pulled the sword out of its sheath.

The spectators held their breaths seeing that, those who were doing the betting for Qian instantly laughed while those who were betting for Andros covered their faces with both hands. They could only wail miserably as their money ludes to this gamble.

The Princess further frowned. Dueling with a wooden sword?, Only a madman would do that. Some of the spectators directly swore loudly towards Andros.

Qian smiled triumphantly at the sight of his opponent being so foolish.No, he thought even fools were not like that. He began to put both hands on the ground.

"Earth Magic - Rock Gloves" as Qian retracted his hand, his hand was directly wrapped in a hardened dirt. Without hesitation he attacked.

Seeing the opponent attacking Andros let out a short sigh then braced his horse. He poured a little energy into his wooden sword.

"Straight of a hundred swords - 13th Technique, Blow the Surprise."

Andros easily dodged and then smacked the handle of his sword into Qian's right hand which attacked him.

The gloves were instantly destroyed.

"How can you?"

"Is that really just an ordinary wooden sword?"

"This kid has unique abilities."

"This is magic without elements."

The spectators were shocked while those who bet on Andros heaved a sigh of relief, there was still a chance of Andros winning.

They were just as confused as how ordinary wood could destroy such petrified soil. There are two possibilities that the sword is an heirloom of magic in the form of a wooden sword or magic without elements belonging to andros cause. Actually strengthening such weapons is common but those who can do so are usually at the Pro Magician level. And not all things can absorb magic well.

However, if you look at it more carefully, it is just an ordinary wooden sword.

The Princess widened her eyes, the other judges as well. This was the first time seeing something like this because it was impossible for someone under Cooper Mage to make something like that. They began to suspect that Andros' abilities came from his Elementless Magic.

The three nobles were told from their descendants if Andros did not have any magic energy. They began to doubt that, it was not easy to do what Andros did unless Andros had rare iron element magic or high-level earth elements.

Qian then hurriedly took out her magic.

"Earth Magic - Earth Wall"

The spectators were also amazed towards Qian for being able to cast intermediate-level magic at the Beginner Magician stage.

Qian locked Andros in a shell from the ground. Not just one layer but three layers. He had not expected his Magic Rock Gloves pride to be so easily destroyed. He was sweating coldly, his heart was racing.

'at least it will hold it until time runs out, it is not easy for the Novice level and the Beginner Magician to come out of such confinement.' Qian started to gain her confidence again.

Andros clenched his hands quickly running towards Qian. Once again the spectators and judges widened his eyes as Andros shot at high speed towards Qian.

The spectators who bet on andros started cheering, with a number of comparisons between the Qian and Andros supporters. If Andros wins then the money they will take home could be four to six times over.

'shit, shit, shit' inner Qian.

He was unable to cast any other magic because his Magic Energy was insufficient after casting Eart Wall-level magic three times.

Qian bit her lips then took out a bottle filled with blue liquid and drank it. The magic energy returned to its original state.

"That's Mana Potion"

"It is possible to use Potions in duels."

Andros' supporters began to protest, but indeed the rules allowed participants to use magic equipment. So there is no prohibition on consuming potions that include magic equipment but, the price of potions is very expensive. Not many could afford it except nobles who had abundant wealth.

"This way I'm the winner, Water Magic - Liquid Gel!"

Andros was running he was less fast before the liquid directly came out of the ground and made Andros lose balance.

Andros almost fell before being showered by other magic.

"Wind Magic - Air Blast!"

Andros held the air bullet with both hands and because of the slippery ground he was pushed to where the ground shell had been destroyed.

"Earth Magic - Groundspiltter!"

The ground sticking out of the spot Andros stood trying to get him out of the arena so disqualified.

Andros easily jumped.

"It's not that easy, Wind Magic - Air Blast!" Before Andros fell Qian fired two balls of air at Andros.

'heh, it's over.' Inner Qian.

Andros realized that and made a rotating movement in the air so that he could dodge the attack.

He landed. The audience was amazed.

"I'll finish this." Andros ran quickly forward but now he set foot harder to the ground so as not to slip by the liquid. The tracks are made and deep.

Qian gritted her teeth.

"Don't underestimate me!" Qian also advanced however he first removed the liquid on the ground.

Andros smiled faintly looking at that, Qian launched various punch attacks.

Andros dodged all of that easily, he alone was able to dodge the fast Air Blast-class magic. Qian's punch was very slow in his eyes.

Feeling a waste of time Andros then made a simple move and directly placed his wooden sword on Qian's neck.

The sword stopped a few inches from Qian's neck.

"You lost" Andros said slowly.
