The Archilles Past and Hope for the Future Part 3

According to the person who taught Archilles, the Archilles were strange Orcs.

Somehow he has a human-like level of intelligence.

Not only was the posture smaller than the other Orcs, but Archilles had something that humans had as well, namely a thirst for knowledge.

Generally the Orcs were not interested in troublesome things like reading and knowledge.

They only think about strength and food.

The stronger you are, the higher your rights are in the tribe. That's what underlies it. But, Archiles is a form of deviation from all that.

In just about 2 months Archilles could read the letters of the book.

It is from these books that Archilles learns the picture of the outside world and how humans communicate.

Because the book was the majority of story books about the kingdom, Archilles learned a lot of self-taught how to talk between Master and subordinate.

But unfortunately, the life of the man who taught Archilles was not long.

The man suffered severe pain after that.

The Archilles who did not know about illness and medicine could not do much.

Coinciding with his last moments he uttered a message,

" I'm actually resigned to my fate of starving to death or being eaten by Orcs here. But on the one hand I was reminded of someone very precious, which made me unable to just give up." With tears and trembling hands an old man who taught Archilles to read for two months said.

"Master? Is there anything I can do? You taught me to read and a lot of things. Would you like to escape from here? I'll help as much as I can."

"You know that you can't do that. Moreover, it seems that the Goddess has given the answer to-*uhuk*"

He coughed up blood.

" T-Master? You're all right? T-Your body is hot!! A..pa can I do Sir?!"

"I was panicking, sir, when I touched the man's body behind the prison his body was so hot that his body was shaking and coughing blood, I did not know what to do. S-When I panicked it with a gesture of hand (✋) shaking he stopped me and continued, "Archiles explained to me the situation back then.

"I-I have a request... Last. J-if you have the chance, please go south! There was a village with a waterwheel on the edge of the village. Please give this to a girl who lives there. M.. Maybe in a few days I'll be gone. S-So I beg you.*uhuk-uhuk*"

After that, the old man was unconscious.

His body was hot and he was constantly coughing up blood. Archilles who did not know what to do could not do much.

Then, the day after that he breathed his last breath.

After 2 weeks passed from the death of the person who taught him to read it, there was a quite shocking event.

From a tribe that became a rival tribe belonging to Archilles there was an Orc that proclaimed itself as an Orc Lord.

That statement is not a statement. It is proven that he managed to unite the 8 Orc tribes there including the archilles themselves. After that unification, the Orc Aggression to the Elves began.

This is the story told by Archilles. But something made me curious, though,

'' What did that man give? He sent you south? Is that girl his wife?"

Archilles grabbed something behind his pants.

" This is Mr."

He showed me a paper and a wooden doll, like a talisman?

How could he hide something behind those dirty pants? It's made of animal skin isn't it, and is there a bag or something?

" I also don't know who the girl was meant to be because after that she was unconscious and her body turned hot." Archiles continued.

" Then you must deliver the letter! That's something very important, don't let your teacher down.."

Archilles nodded.

"...I'll drive you."

"Sorry, Sir? What about your own purpose? Isn't the Master going to the southeast?"

" I think it can be delayed. After all, wasn't the girl that the person was forcing her to be waiting for? Making a girl wait isn't a good thing, is it?"

I joked to the Archiles, but in return the look on the archilles' face showed a serious face.

" I understand Sir. Thank you." Thank you."

I think my sense of humor from the past still feels bad huh. Yasudahlah.

" It seems to be getting late. Who will be on guard first? Me or you?"

"Master, just calm down. Let me be the one watching. You can sleep."

"Is it really okay? We can alternate if you want."

"It's okay. I will risk myself to protect Master all night." Archilles insisted.

"Foolah. I slept first."

'' yes, sir."

After hearing that answer I started to close my eyes.
