ANINDITA, A Tale of the Past

ANINDITA, A Tale of the Past
Ricky Confession

Anindita was struck by panic when she did not also find the tiny figure of Ramadan at that time, even though she had run to and fro with tears.

" Rome ...! Where are you, son?" Anindita kept shouting calling out the name of Ramadan.

Anindita went back to the gold shop and wished her son to go back there.

" Not seen yet, Mom?" ask the gold shop security.

" No, sir." Anindita was completely ravaged by immortality.

" Mom better make a report of the missing child to the information section of this mall. Let's make a missing child announcement. Who knows if someone found a mother's son." The security guard gave advice.

" I-yes, where's the information, sir?"

" Just try mom on the fourth floor, ask the guy over there where's the information?" the security guard's advice is back

" I-yes, thank you, sir." Anindita wanted to step away from the gold shop but the very sound she had memorized and made her up in the mist was currently heard calling out to her.

" Mom ..."

Anindita immediately turned her face and twisted her body when she heard the voice that was currently completely soothing to her heart.

" Rama?" Anindita immediately ran to reach the body of Ramadhan who was also running towards her.

" Rama, O God. Honey ... Where are you going? Mama was worried that you had disappeared," Anindita's cry broke again as she grabbed the child's body.

" Mama nanis?" ramadan asked when she heard Anindita crying as Anindita kissed her face.

" Yes, Mama was crying because Rama had disappeared. Rama didn't say to Mama. Where's Rama gone, honey? Rama don't go far from Mama. Mama was sad to look for Rama." Tears continued to break on Anindita's cheeks.

" Is this your son?" The voice of the woman is heard from behind Ramadan.

Anindita raised her gaze towards the voice earlier. He saw a woman around forty years old with an oriental face smiling at him.

" This child is your child?" ask that woman.

" I-yes, the mother who found my son?" Anindita then stood up and carried Ramadhan on her waist.

" No, I didn't find your son." The woman shook her head. " It was your son who found me" he continued.

Anindita scrunched her forehead. He did not understand the meaning of the woman's words.

" You mean?"

" Your son returned my wallet which seemed to have fallen in the gold shop. Your son is chasing me all the way out, all the way to the toilet." The woman explained.

Anindita then turned her head towards her son, there was a sense of haru in his heart with the attitude that his son showed. A drop after another tear flowed down his cheek.

" God, Son ..." Anindita showered kisses on the cheeks of Ramadan chubby.

" Your son is a child, but he has done such a commendable thing. I salute you for teaching kindness to your son." The woman seemed to really feel amazed by the attitude of Ramadan.

" Thank you, Mom. I only teach the proper things to instill in my son." Anindita tried to go low.

" What's your son's name?" asked the woman while stroking the moist cheeks of Ramadan because of Anindita's tears.

" Radhan, Mom." Anindita introduced her son's name.

" Radhan? Must be the birth of the month of fasting, huh?" guess the woman.

Anindita smiled as she nodded her head. " Yes, Mom."

The woman then noticed Anindita who looked bothered with some bags carried by Anindita. Backpacks on his back, big bags in his hands were also cross-linked slingbag bags on his body.

" It seems you are bothered. Where are you going, I'll drop you off?" ask the woman to offer herself.

" No need, Mom. Thank you." Thank you." Anindita rejected the woman's offer subtly.

" It's okay, just think of it as a reward to you," said the woman.

" I don't know where I'm going, Mom. I'm looking for a job and a contract." Anindita was honest.

" You looking for work? Well, unfortunately my business is in Jakarta, even though I also need employees," said the woman again.

" Do you want to work in Jakarta? I have a flower shop there. Behind the store there was a room that had become a warehouse but was not used. If you want later I tell people to settle down so it is worth using to be a place to live," the woman offered.

" Hmmm ..." Anindita thought about considering the woman's offer.

" You can ask your family's permission first if you are interested" the woman continued.

" I don't have any relatives, Mom."

" Oh so, yes, then join my cooperation." The woman offered again.

" Oh yeah, what's your name? I'm Lucy, my employees mostly call Ci Lucy." Lucy introduced herself as she extended her hand.

" I'm Anindita, Ci." Anindita welcomes Lucy's hand.

" When can you go to Jakarta? I need to go to Surabaya today." Lucy then took out a business card from her bag and thrust it to Anindita.

" This is my business card. If you take the train choose Gambir destination only. If you have arrived quickly contact me, then I will have people pick you up," said Lucy.

" Okay, Mom."

" Call Ci Lucy."

" Oh yes, thank you, Ci Lucy" Anindita said.

Anindita is grateful, she is always close to good people. Although she only knew Lucy at first glance but she already felt that she was a good woman like Sandra.

Meanwhile, in another part of Malang, Ricky was on a pilgrimage to the tomb of Alina, the woman he suspected was his victim. After praying and putting a bouquet of flowers, he stood up to leave the funeral.

" is Ricky here?"

Ricky gasps when he hears Mr. Sholeh's voice, Alina's father suddenly stands behind Ricky.

" B-Mr?"

" Would Ricky have gone to Alina's grave?" asked Mr. Sholeh when he saw the bouquet of flowers in his daughter's grave.

" Yes, sir." Ricky assented.

" I often hear from the funeral guards here, he said there are often men with perlente appearance who often shimme to the tomb of Alina, is that Nak Ricky?" ask Mr. Sholeh when they are in Mr. Sholeh's house. After making a pilgrimage to his son's grave, Mr. Sholeh invites Ricky to stop by his house.

" Yes, sir."

" I'm very grateful to Nak Ricky for helping our family, to always routinely visit the tomb of Alina all." Mr. Sholeh did not stop saying thank you.

" Maybe if Ricky's son doesn't help us, we'll have a hard time scavenging the windfall."

The tightness that Ricky felt in his chest when he heard Mr. Sholeh's words. He felt that whatever help he gave would not be comparable to the heartache of Mr. Sholeh's family because of the loss of his beloved family.

Ricky swallowed his saliva, it felt like it was time for Alina's family to know what she had done to the girl. Because even though he always held out a courtesy, but his heart did not feel calm because it was always haunted by guilt. Perhaps if it was telling the truth to Alina's parents, it would lighten her burden a little.

" I'm sorry because I didn't dare say this to you and your family."

" I'm sorry, because of my cowardice, I don't dare admit to the mistakes I've made against your son."

Mr. Sholeh frowned not understanding what Ricky said earlier.

" What does Ricky mean?"

" I, I am the perpetrator of the rape of my father's daughter three years ago" said Ricky with a bowed face, he really could not look at the face of Alina's parents.

Mr. Sholeh was immediately stunned by being wide-eyed at Ricky's confession.

" I'm sorry, sir. All of that there is no element of intentionality at all. I tried to find Father's son after the incident, but I found him late." Ricky finally told clearly the beginning of the incident that night as well as his efforts in the search for women who became victims.

" I'm really sorry, sir." Ricky's voice sounded slow.

" Kid Ricky, is Nak Ricky going to take all the compensation that Nak Ricky has given to my family if Nak Ricky mistook people?" Mr. Sholeh responds to Ricky's story.

Ricky straightened his face at Mr. Sholeh's question.

" Do you mean Father?" Ricky scrunched his forehead.

" It looks like Nak Ricky has the wrong guy. The woman that Ricky boy was referring to was not my son. Because my son's rapist was caught months after Alina was killed. We found Alina's diary in the closet in her grandmother's room. And the culprit was his own ex-girlfriend."

Suddenly, Ricky's heart seemed to melt knowing that he had been mistaking people all along.
