Almeer's hold on Sora slowly loosened as those chasing them began to drift away. Not thinking for long Almeer invites Sora to take a different path and immediately go to the edge of the highway to find a safe place. One of the mosques that was crowded with pilgrims who had just finished praying isya' became Almeer's choice to rest.
"You rest here, yes, I buy you a drink first." Almeer told Sora to sit on a bench in the courtyard of the mosque.
Sora pulls the end of Almeer's jacket, "No, Al. Here aja!"
Almeer silently looked at the exhausted looking Sora, then nodded. He took off his jacket and covered Sora's exposed span skirt then he sat crouched down right in front of Sora observing the dirty and injured legs of the sora.
"It hurts?" ask Almeer.
Sora nodded, he looked down at his feet. "It's really nice to see my feet like gini. hihihi." Sora laughed a little.
Almeer stared at the corner of Sora's bloody lips from David's slap earlier. He threw out his hand, trying to hold it back so as not to act out of bounds again. He shifted his gaze at Sora's feet again.
"Dibersihin first, Ra." Almeer.
Sora nodded. "You pray, I go to the bathroom."
"Can you?" Almeer.
Sora nodded, he stood up and returned Almeer's jacket then walked towards the ladies' bathroom. Almeer saw it feeling pity and worry, yet he immediately rushed in to take ablution.
Long enough Sora in the bathroom cleaned her legs and endured the pain. Tears trickled down on her cheeks, not because of pain, but because of the extreme annoyance over the treatment of the old man who considered her a call woman.
"By!"
Almeer's call from outside made Sora immediately wipe her tears.
"Yes, Al! It's done." His shouting.
Sora rushed out of the bathroom, seeing that Almeer was waiting for him. There was no smile on the man's face, just a worried look.
Sora reached for his shoes and bag and approached Almeer, "It's just a small cut, Al." Sora.
Almeer smiled, "We're home, Ra."
Sora nodded and started to step up. The mosque looks deserted, only a few people live in the mosque.
"What really happened, Ra?" ask Almeer.
"The old man tried to think I was a call woman."
"What!?" Almeer was shocked until his steps stopped.
"Do I look cheap, Al?" sora asked, her mouth tightly clenched trying to keep her tears from falling.
"Why are you asking like that, Ra?"
Sora looked down, staring at his clothes. "It looks like I look cheap in their eyes."
"People can demean you, Ra. But don't let yourself humble yourself. You're valuable, Ra. It's precious." Almeer.
Sora looked at Almeer for a moment, but their conversation came to a halt as the sound of footsteps ran up to them.
"Miss, An—"
THE PLAQUE!!
Sora slapped hard on Aga's cheek until it made the man speechless to look at her. "Why did you let your men take me to that son of a bitch, Ga!" Shouted Sora, his tears were now spilling unstoppable.
Among her sobs, Sora hit Aga's chest repeatedly letting out her frustration. While Aga can only resign, he also felt guilty when he saw Sora who walked barefoot and saw many scratches there.
Aga held back Sora's hand that was about to hit him again, "I'm sorry, Miss." Said Aga then grabbed Sora's body and carried her to leave.
"Ga! Lepassin! I can walk by myself!" Sora protests, but Aga does not budge. The man continued to carry Sora until he got into the car.
In the distance, Sora saw Almeer who was still standing in his place was staring at him. He wanted to get out and get back to Almeer, but the car was on.
Meanwhile, Almeer was still watching Sora's car leave with a wry smile and shook his head. He let out a heavy sigh and ruffled the back of his head in annoyance. I don't know what he's thinking.
***
The car carrying Sora had stopped in her yard. Despite struggling, Aga still brought Sora into the house by carrying. He went straight to Sora's room. Some of Sora's Household Assistants are ready behind Aga with a basin filled with water, towels and medicine boxes.
Aga took Sora's foot, cleaned and applied some medicines there. Sora just grimaced with holding the sting.
"Mita was watching you too far earlier, she's been asking for help but you've run off with Almeer." Aga. "Can you explain what happened, miss?"
"Bi, please leave us both." Pinta Sora's.
"Good, Miss." ART then exited Sora's room.
"I want you to fire your marketing manager!" Pinta Sora withholding anger, her eyes showed a great hatred.
Aga was still staring at Sora waiting for the answer of his question.
"Make an investment, he deliberately sold me to that striped-nose guy!!" Sora's cry made her tears fall again.
Aga put Sora's feet on the bed then approached Sora and hugged her. "I'll take care of it, Miss." His word.
Sora nodded between her cries.
"I'm sorry I can't take care of you." Aga.
Sora withdrew from Aga's embrace, she wiped away her tears. "Make sure he won't live well!"
Aga nodded, for a moment he saw the corner of Sora's bloody lips. "He hit you, Miss?" ask Aga.
Sora nodded, "It hurts!" His sister.
Aga nodded and stood up, "I'll excuse you, Miss." Pamit Aga's.
"Ga!" Sora pulls the shirt on the back of the Aga.
"Yes, Miss?"
"I don't want anyone else to know about this. Including our families."
"But—"
"I don't want you to tell me to go back to Jakarta, Ga!" Sora Teas.
Aga looked at Sora for a moment then nodded. "I'm leaving, Miss."
Sora nodded.
As far as he could, he immediately broke his body. Given David's treatment of him earlier. His chest tightened in anger. This time not to David, but to himself. At first glance he remembered everything that was on him. He alone caused others to look down on him.
He always wanted to look great in the eyes of others, he who always hoped to praise others with a sexy look and now all his actions only became a bombardment for him. What he expected was a hundred and eighty degrees different. Not a compliment, but an insult.
Sora woke up from her sleep and stepped slowly in front of the makeup glass. He smiled wryly staring at his reflection in the glass. Maybe in Jakarta it looks like it is quite reasonable, but not elsewhere.
"I should have known myself." Mumbled.
***
The sunlight had already slipped into Sora's room. The cold air was stuck behind the glass, unable to penetrate the entrance taking over the warmth of the room. The owner of the room woke up earlier than the sun. Since dawn he was sitting near the window of his room while enjoying the company of his neighbor who was busy washing the motorbike.
Seen far away Almeer was washing his motorbike right in front of his house. With shorts and a white T-shirt does not throw away the man's good looks. His face was serious about cleaning every bike.
Sora's smile doesn't stop expanding, especially if it's remembered how close he was to Almeer last night. His cheeks instantly met red and made him misbehave.
"Well, how did Al wash it?" Sora complained when he saw Almeer entering his house carrying a bucket.
"Yeah, look what now." Sora murmured, still confirming whether Almeer would come out again or not.
Trrt.
He opens a new message that turns out to be from Almeer.
/Aren't tired of sitting there? not just rest./
Sora again surprised to read the contents of whatsapp message Almeer, he immediately stood up and walked limped away from the window.
/Kok you know anyway? Pretend you don't know you can. If I'm embarrassed./
/Hahahaha (i seriously laughed), next time I pretend I don't know./
/No..../
Not yet had time to reply to Almeer's message, Sora's phone has rang and display Almeer's name there.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Al's. Wh why? phone collision?"
"Wa'alaikumsalam, Ra. Later if the same time waiting for the answer, so just call." Answer Almeer.
"What do you want to ask?"
"Where's his foot? how lips? Swelled up?"
"It's not hard to walk, it turns out a lot of injuries on the soles of the feet. My lips are bruised a little, but still maximum beautiful." Sora replied while looking at her reflection in the mirror.
"Hahahaha, the pedunya still yes?" Temptation Almeer, "Non work?"
"No, the road is hard to work."
"Jude, just rest. I want to get ready to work first yes, if it's too late can reduce my salary later."
"Yes, get a lot of money. You still owe me."
"Eeh, still in the snot."
"Yes, you have a lot of outstanding debt."
"Yes yes, ntar paid off one. Yes, yes, Ra. I hung up. Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumsalam, Al."
Sora hung up his phone with a big smile, he clasped his phone in a frenzy. Slowly he sat down by the window of his room and waited for Almeer who was about to go to work.
Mentari is getting up to the contest, the clock has passed the number seven. There were already many people going back and forth on the streets in front of Sora's house and Almeer's house. Sora was curious since earlier to two Muslim women who stood and were arguing lightly in front of Almeer's house.
Finally the curiosity was answered when Almeer came out of the gate of his house, one of the Muslim women gave almeer a map of documents. There was only a short conversation between them and the two Muslims left while Almeer continued his journey to work.
***
That afternoon Sora was bored in the room. Not himself if he has to stay indoors when his body is in good health. Although it was still painful to make a road, Sora decided to go on a road around his house, of course, accompanied by Mita and Aura.
"Eh, the mosque is good." Sora said when he saw the mosque that was not too far from his house. "Get in first yuk, want to look around."
Sora and his two bodyguards entered the sprawling, leafy courtyard of the mosque. Sounds vaguely there is a study in there. While in the courtyard of the mosque many small children dressed in Muslim clothes were playing around.
Sora sat on one of the concrete chairs on the edge of the mosque courtyard and enjoyed the excitement of the children playing there.
Before long a group of mothers and young women came out of the mosque, apparently the study was over. Sora felt uneasy as some of them stared at Sora. Lucky Sora wears covered clothes.
"Sora's mother!"
Of the many people, Sora saw a beautiful, graceful girl running towards him.
"Meera!" Sora's greeting when Ameera was standing in front of him.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Ma'am." Ameera's greeting to Sora, Mita and Aura were sitting next to Sora.
"Wa'alaikumsalam" answered the three women.
"Sora's sister how is she?" ask Ameera.
"Alhamdullillah is fine, Meera."
"Meera same mas Al semalem agreed to have dinner with the same mas Al, but mas Al saw Mbak Sora trus nyamperin Mbak Sora deh."
"Oh yeah? so I interrupted your dinner, huh? sorry, Meera."
"What the hell, Ma'am. Ma'am's safety is more important."
"Assalamu'alaikum, sorry to interrupt your conversation." A middle-aged woman with a wide hood approached Sora and Meera.
"Needles...,"
"Sulis's Ustadzah? can Meera help you, Ustadzah?" Meera stood up to the woman named Ustadzah Sulis.
"Here, Son Meera. Ustadzah can be deposited again from one of the students of Ustadzah to Nak Almeer." Sulis's Ustadzah gave Ameera several large brown envelopes.
"Yes Ustadzah, Meera will convey to mas Al." Ameera received the Ustadzah Sulis award.
"If so I say yes, yes. Thanks, Meera. Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumsalam, Ustadzah." Ameera answered after kissing the hand of Ustadzah Sulis.
Ustadzah Sulis also nodded his head to say goodbye to Sora and left the young women behind. Ameera again sat down beside Sora.
"What is that, Meera?" ask Sora curiously.
"Regular, Ma. CV Ta'aruf..," replied Ameera.
"Make Almeer?"
Ameera.
"That's a lot?" Sora counts the envelope in Meera's hand.
"Home more, Ma'am. Al has many fans."
"Yes?"
Ameera nodded, "But Al criteria for his future wife is high, Ma'am. That's why it doesn't fit." Ameera.
"What kind of girl does Almeer like, Meera?" ask Sora enthusiastically.
"Sayyidah Khadijah, wife of Rasulallah."
"Huh!?"
"Weight, right, Ma'am? that's why he's so hard to get a mate." Ameera.
Sora was silent. Not unable to chimed in Ameera's words, more precisely he was still astonished by the criteria of Almeer's dream woman.
