Alisha nervously looked at Arsya standing before her.
"Maas ...."
The man approached Alisha's bedside. Then press the on button to turn on the sleeping lights that are right next to the headboard. Instantly the light shimmered though dimly. That's where Alisha realized how stupid she was all along. She was so afraid of the man that she forgot about the sleeping lights in front of her eyes.
Alisha was afraid of the dark, but she never told Arsya. While the man was used to sleeping in the dark so he did not care because there were no protests from guests in his room.
"Gue does not like to sleep with the lights on, but if you can not sleep in the dark you can turn on this lamp."
"I-yes, Mas, thank you."
Ah ... Alisha, it feels very anxious to condemn her own stupidity if you remember last night. If Alisha had told me from the beginning about her being unable to sleep in the dark, she would not have had a headache every morning due to lack of sleep. Not to mention the dark circles that adorn his eyes every morning.
Sometimes we think too much first. Fear of something we have not yet faced. But reality is not always as complicated as what is in our shadow.
This is a new lesson for Alisha. That communication is very important in life between two people, especially in one relationship.
Saying what you want or don't want in a relationship is normal and not something to be afraid of. Had Alisha spoken from the beginning, she would have woken up as fresh as she is today due to getting enough sleep.
Finished ablution, Alisha stood right beside the sofa. Wanted to wake Arsya up for dawn prayers but he hesitated. During her stay together, Alisha had never seen her husband pray. As a wife, she felt responsible to remind her of her duty as a servant to Arsya.
After several hands that would touch Arsya finally Alisha ventured to shake her husband's body.
"Mas ... Arsya."
"Hem."
"It's dawn, Mom. Wake up, pray first."
Arsya opened her eyes that felt heavy. "Gue didn't ask you to wake me up. If you want to pray, then pray it yourself. Don't fuck me up!" Arsya tilted her body against the back of the sofa. He turned back to Alisha who was still standing there.
"Mas Arsya." Alisha shook the man's body again.
"Lo didn't hear my word!" arsya jolts while throwing Alisha's hand that is still on her shoulder. He snorted and ignored Alisha.
Alisha can only say Istighfar in heart. He decided to pray on his own without Arsya. After that he cleaned the apartment and also cooked water to make tea and coffee. He doesn't know what Arsya likes, but during his stay at his father-in-law's house he noticed every morning there was coffee made by the housekeeper for Arsya.
It's seven o'clock and Alisha has done all her homework. But her husband did not wake up yet. Even when Alisha finished her bath, the man was still lying on the sofa.
"Maas ...." Alisha reawakens Arsya.
"Hem."
"I want permission to do work" Alisha said carefully. Afraid of getting the man back on the blackboard.
"Hem."
Although Arsya did not open her eyes, Alisha muttered as an agreement. "I'm leaving first, yes, Mom."
Arsya. When Alisha opened the door, the man called her.
"Hey!"
Alisha stop. "Yes, Mum."
Alisha sees Arsya getting up and walking towards the closet. He took something from inside and approached Alisha. "This is money for you. Whatever you want to wear for."
"Want a living for you."
"Why?"
"As much as you want to consider what, you must have received this money and used it for useful things." Arsya put the money she held into Alisha's hand and then lay back on the sofa.
Although a little confused Alisha still put the money she received into the bag. Then leave after ordering the ojek online.
"Hi ... Al, have you been to work, lo?" greet Femmy, as soon as Alisha gets to work.
Alisha only smiled faintly with a nod of her head.
"Who's dianter, lo's husband?" Femmy dizzy looking for the whereabouts of her friend's husband.
"No." Alisha shakes. "I ride the ojek."
"What?" Femmy surprise. "Where is your husband?"
"He's busy."
"But, whatever busy husband must be gagging for his wife's anter, 'kan .. you are newlyweds, '" Femmy said in a derisive tone in his sentence.
All of Alisha's friends know very well why Alisha could marry an Arsyanendra. The news that had boomed made Alisha unable to cover up this wedding that was never wanted.
"Or, Arsya does not want to ya nganterin lo. He had to marry you."
"Alisha, have you come?" this time, Ratih said hello. "Let's go in," he invites her to rescue Alisha from her friend's sneer.
"I first, yes," said Alisha and then followed the steps of Ratih's mother.
In her boss's room, Alisha feels safer. Because Ratih's mom is the one who knows the real story of why the night happened.
"How was your marriage, did Arsya treat you well?" ask Mrs Ratih.
"Yes, Mother. Arsya is good."
Ratih knows there's something Alisha is hiding but she doesn't want to interfere too deeply. "I'm sorry, Al, I didn't think I'd be this confident."
"It all happened, Mother. Maybe it's my destiny."
Ratih rubbed Alisha's back, as a sign of strengthening as well as an apology for her guilt. "Yes, you have started working" said Ratih.
Alisha works with feelings that are not the same as before. Either just the feeling or it is so. His friends look at him cynically. It's like not liking Alisha's presence right now.
Alisha doesn't work as usual until the boutique closes. He asked permission for Mrs Ratih to go home early because she wanted to shop.
In a shopping mall, he walks alone pushing a trolley. Choosing food ingredients to fill the refrigerator in the apartment owned by her husband. His lips curled upwards as he was in front of the cashier, staring at the money Arsya had given him this morning. First breath.
After shopping, Alisha took the time to take a short break at the food court. He ordered boba ice as well as a cheese banana to accompany his break.
While enjoying the food on her desk, Alisha spread her eyes. Look at the atmosphere of a shopping center that is crowded. As his eyes dropped down, he saw there was a crowd of people.
Like there's an artist or something. When the crowd got out, and the face of the man who was the object of the crowd looked up, Alisha just found out if it was Arsyanendra, her husband. But who is the woman who took her husband?
