Aishiteru, Takah!

Aishiteru, Takah!
Chapter 7's

I woke up in the middle of the night because of hunger. Because of my movements, the sleeping Taka also woke up. We walked into the kitchen and saw if there were only instant noodles left to eat.

"Let me make it," I said immediately.

Taka looked at me with a smile, "Have started carrying out the responsibilities as a wife apparently."

I laughed when I heard his words. "That's what I'm for. If you're starving and still have to make your own food, I'll feel pretty useless."

It didn't take long, two bowls of instant noodles were already available on the dining table.

The summer air made the two of us sit on the balcony enjoying the evening breeze after eating. With a glass of iced coffee in each hand, we started telling stories at length.

"You can start arranging this apartment as you want, buy also some items that you need" said Taka. "It's been a while since I last moved some stuff to create a new atmosphere."

I nodded, "I'm quite fond of the current arrangement. Maybe I'll change something a little."

"Do you feel comfortable living here?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, I'm comfortable here. The items you have are modern, complete and good," I replied smilingly.

We talked about something else until my curiosity finally peaked. "Did you tell your parents that we're married?"

Taka was silent for a moment, "Yes. But they say they're busy enough and haven't had time to look at us."

I subconsciously rubbed my husband's back slowly.

"Tell me, we have a lot of time now," I looked back at her fixed eyes.

From the story of Taka before we got married, he and his family came from Shibuya. His father was a businessman and his mother a party activist. They were both divorced when Taka was 16 and his two younger brothers now live with their mother.

"Honestly, after seeing my mom and dad, I was scared when I got married. I'm afraid my marriage is like their marriage."

I nodded in understanding. Taka's fear is reasoned because he witnessed for himself how his parents' household was destroyed.

"Dad and mom demanded that I always get good grades. They put me in an expensive favorite school. As for me, I am not the kind of kid who is smart and loves to learn. In a favorite school all students race to be the best. I had reached my limits when I finally felt tired and gave up. I used to play and play too. Because of that, I was unable to move up to third grade, "Taka told me about his experience, while attending junior high school or chugakko.

"It embarrassed my parents and moved me to an ordinary school. Unfortunately, due to the differences in the curriculum, I couldn't keep up. I was forced to take additional tutoring subjects after school. Usually, I can only go home around 9 or 10 p.m. For a year I followed tutoring until I finally came back to my limit. I went back to truancy and playing around with the older kids.

Because of frequent truancy, my mother got a notification letter from the tutoring place. Out of anger, he went into my room and found the cigarettes and beer I was hiding. Immediately, he told my father and when I got home, all my things were scattered." Taka sipped his coffee slowly.

"That night, they scolded me all out. Reminds me of the responsibility as a first child. Tell me that as a first child, I have an obligation to be an example to my brothers. They demanded that I be a good brother when they couldn't be a good parent because they fought so many times in front of all of us."

"That's why your parents got divorced?" my many.

Taka nodded. "Because they often quarrel and blame each other for the behavior of their children, they decide to separate. After they split up, I decided not to go to school.

I focus on playing music with my friends who are still in school. Being the only one not in school, their parents always blamed me for all the mistakes their child made. They say I'm a bad influence. I eventually moved to my grandmother's house. Grandma asked me to continue school, but I couldn't. I couldn't stay still and study, my attention was always divided and I wanted to run away to play music. And when grandma gave up on persuading me, I re-formed a new band around the residence. Our band is quite famous and often performs at summer festivals. Over time fame approached us until finally our band lasted long enough and the management fired me from there."

I fell silent and sipped my coffee. The last band Taka meant was the one he joined before he was fired for running away from a promotional tour in Osaka to see me in Tokyo.
