Chapter 2's

At six o'clock in the morning, Taka was already standing at the door of my apartment carrying a lot of parcels. I, who was still half conscious because I was sleepy, opened the door still wearing a nightgown.

"Did I wake you?" ask Taka.

"Yes, I was still sleeping when you pressed the bell," I yawned. "Sit down first."

"I'll just prepare breakfast. Enjoy your morning shower" he said walking towards the kitchen.

Coming out of the bathroom, I saw that there was already some food for breakfast at the table near the sofa, including coffee. I don't know where Taka gets it all in the morning like this.

"There's something I want to ask you" Taka said after I sat down and sipped a cup of coffee.

"Tell me." I stared at the man who looked doubtful.

"About something ...," said Taka.

"Tell me, Taka. What's up?"

"What if we speed up the marriage?" taka said staring right into the eyes.

Both of my eyebrows shot up, "Hey, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly talking about marriage? Is there something?"

Taka was silent for a moment before making a sound. "I just read the official email early this morning before going to bed about the notification that we're going to be getting into the second album soon after moving into the new studio. And for this second album, our label company teamed up with overseas companies for the album creation. From recording to video clip. I'd like to take you with me if it's time to go abroad for a record."

"Well, am I going abroad?" many enthusiast.

"Are you not abroad now?"

I smiled and stroked my hair slowly.

I'm nodding. "Alright, this should be discussed. By the way, is it polite for me to ask what your religion is?"

Taka laughed heartily, "In fact, that's a very disrespectful question because it's a very personal thing. However, since you are my future wife, I don't mind. My parents were Buddhist. But they are not religious people either. I myself am an Agnostic. What does this have to do with religion?"

I was stunned for a moment. It's not something easy. In general, Agnostics are those who believe in the existence of God if they can prove it scientifically. It is different from atheism. Atheists themselves are those who do not believe in the existence of God and reject the existence of God.

Japan itself ranks second as the country with the most atheists. Then followed by Agnostics. Many Japanese, though Agnostic, continue to practice rituals and celebrations of more than one religion throughout the year as a form of tradition and what they consider to be an exciting activity. Japanese celebrate Shichi-Go-San, Hatsumode, and Matsuri in Shinto shrines.

While the Japanese population is religious, the majority are Buddhists and Shinto although many of them claim not to be religious in practicing the teachings of their religion.

"I am a Muslim" I said without answering Taka's question. "And I want if I get married, it's done Islamically."

"No problem, I can be a Muslim. What am I supposed to do?" ask Taka.

I was silent for a while. It is true that I am not a devout Muslim. The worship that I do is limited to mandatory worship such as praying five times and also fasting in the month of Ramadan. But when I heard that he was going to be a Muslim, I wanted him totally. In a sense, not just as an identity. He must perform the duties of other Muslims.

"Rinai?" taka asked softly.

I stared at him for a long time. There are many things I want to say but somehow my tongue is confused. "I'll find out how you can become a Muslim. If I had known how, I would have told you" I said in the end.

Taka nodded in understanding and laid himself down on the sofa.

I was typing when Taka's phone rang and made him wake up. After talking for a while, he said goodbye to return to the apartment because Toru would come to pick up the guitar.

I closed my draft and headed to the internet search app. After getting what I was looking for, I typed something and resumed typing the writing for my blog.
