Aishiteru, Takah!

Aishiteru, Takah!
Chapter 21's

"Taka ...," he said stammering as he looked into my eyes.

"Taka why?" manya curious.

Toru's wife pulled me towards the sofa and sat down. "Assistant Toru came home at four in the morning and then left again. He told me if there was a problem there. He also asked me to tell you everything. I'll tell you, but with a note, you should keep quiet and don't ask too many questions because I only know what I'm going to tell you."

I nodded quickly.

"Taka is now at the police station. Right after midnight, some cops came in because of someone's report if anyone was using illegal drugs. Everything in the studio was checked and Taka was found unconscious." Toru's wife clasped my hand as if strengthening.

The deg!

The news I heard felt so unreal, that my brain started to digest every sentence and in the end something invisible hit my chest hard. I couldn't help but have a bad thought that led me to all possibilities and raised many questions in my head.

'What happened?'

'Why is he unconscious?'

'Could he be framed?'

I squeezed my hair hard trying to stop a lot of those questions.

"Rinai-san! Please calm yourself!"

Toru's wife's voice jolted my consciousness back to the real world.

"I want to meet my husband" said I lirih who then responded nodding.

"Prepare, we'll be there in half an hour" replied Toru's wife.

The journey from the hotel to the police station was long. I was anxious to think about Taka's sick condition, coupled with the new problems that befell him. My mind and heart finally agreed that Taka felt it impossible to do such a thing. As long as I knew him, I never once saw him using banned drugs.

"Rinai ...," said Taka lirih as soon as I entered the room. He was sitting in front of someone wearing a uniform. I circulated my gaze and saw that Shinoda and the other personnel were also being questioned.

"Can I talk to one of them?" I stared at Taka and the others.

"Sorry, Miss. But they are still being questioned. No one can meet anyone as long as the results of their examination lab haven't come out."

"Can you explain this situation to me? I have to tell this to our side in Japan" I asked again.

The police asked me to wait a little. He walked to a table and spoke to the other officers. After a while, the police came back to me.

"We can talk in the room" he said quietly and showed the room in question.

I waited for more than half an hour before finally a police officer who was not in uniform, entered the room carrying a paper.

"Sorry for a long time, miss. We just got the lab results. There's a high enough substance in Taka-ssi's test."

I was snapped for a moment. "Can I know what's going on?"

"We got a call from someone and said if anyone overdosed in the recording studio. Armed with that report, we came there to check. All in normal circumstances. However, when we entered Taka-ssi's room, we found her unconscious. It also found the medicine packaging right next to his bed."

"Can I see it?" my many.

The officer gave me a photo of the drug packaging I knew very well. "It's a cold cure" I said as I looked at the photo.

"Flu medicine?"

"Yes, this is a flu cure from my country" I explained. "I brought this flu medicine from Indonesia. Since it had been a few days Taka-san had a severe flu, I gave this medicine to her."

"Taka-ssi also stated in his report that he was exposed to the flu and took a drug given by his personal assistant. Is that you?"

"Yes, that's me. I give cold medicine that I often drink and sold freely in Indonesia. I brought the drug from Indonesia to Japan and also to Seoul and always get permission when checking at the airport because I have a doctor's prescription for the drug. You can check the content of the drug and will know if the content contained in it is safe to take to other countries. I have a photocopy of the prescription, a doctor's letter and also an immigration note if you want to see it all."

The officer seemed to think for a moment. "In that case, we should also hold you for a while for inspection. Are you ready, Miss?"

"Yes, I am willing," I replied steadily.
