Chapter 3 - The First Eternite Invasion
[28 July 1914 - First Eternite Invasion ]
The arrival of monsters on a large scale took place in Europe.
Many people thought it was the beginning of an alien invasion, but that claim was soon refuted by scientists. They found no evidence of aliens coming from space.
Monsters appear to resemble animals with four legs, resembling mechanical monsters, or various mythological monsters in legends. But even though they resembled many things, they had something in common, namely their bodies that released energy that enveloped their bodies.
They kept coming so that they were given their own name, Eternite.
(Eternite = Eternity = Eternal = Lasting)
Eternites have high regeneration and they will not actually die unless the core is destroyed.
The monster, called Eternite, appeared suddenly, out of nowhere.
Their numbers pose a threat to the whole world. Besides, they were also very difficult to kill.
Fortunately the energy explosion could at least injure them. Eternite is not matter but non matter or energy itself.
Eternite's level of danger forces the world to unite. Whether it is a country in the east, west, north, south, and center, they are united in wiping out monsters that are trying to invade the earth.
But it is still not enough because humans are still desperate.

As the battle was going on, humans learned of the existence of unknown energies. Energy that can damage the brain's neural network and alter things like hormones, genetics, and cells of living things including humans.
Humans exposed to high amounts of energy radiation will lose their sense of reason and life energy. As for the animals, they would go berserk and be difficult to control.
Fortunately, the energy is not a virus that can spread.
Some factors such as time, amount of energy exposure, immune system, genetics, and so on are also other factors whether humans will be affected or not.
And like a rainbow after a rain, that energy makes humans who can survive get powers they can only imagine in a dream.
Those who are able to withstand exposure to energy radiation gain the ability to control laws and energies that will eventually be called authorities.
However, only 1 percent of those exposed had the luxury of gaining such power. Even so, fortunately some people are genetically degrading so that it is still good news for mankind. Or so at least at that time.
The researchers concluded that the unknown energy came with Eternite, so they called it Eternite Energy.

Einstein Destin who came out of nowhere put forward the theory of relativity that overturns some laws of physics such as the law of gravity.

With his theory, one of the mysterious families in Japan made some technology that could help humans in fighting Eternite.
They created a tool that could predict the appearance of Eternite, based on gravitational anomalies.
Moreover, the Eternite cores were not only their weakness, but also stored Eternite Energy that could be harnessed.
After learning about it, the family in Japan made technology and weapons that could have an impact on Eternite.
All of those things become light in the dark, becoming the human impetus to survive.
With new skills, tools, and knowledge. Humans could still survive longer against Eternite.

The battle between the humans and the Eternites was still ongoing, when it was centered in Europe. As a result, Europe was destroyed. Scary victims to count. Even after the world came together, humans were still under pressure.

The human fight with Eternite ends in a series. It was due to an anomaly called Ruler.
Many theories suggest that they were Eternite humanoid types. That was because their form and intelligence were similar to humans, whereas their energy and power exceeded ordinary Eternites.

Ruler's early appearance led to despair. The reason for that was because its own appearance had given rise to an extremely destructive burst of light energy.
Ruler's strength was also beyond common sense. In battle, no weapon could hurt him.
The researchers concluded some data related to its occurrence.

On the same day after Ruler's appearance, most of the Eternite with the Ruler of Light suddenly disappeared. Their disappearance was as mysterious as their arrival.
Some witnesses said that they saw Ruler of Light fighting Eternite, some also said that Eternite disappeared inside a black hole the size of their body.
‘We don't know when they will strike back.’
With that awareness, the representatives of the 5 Great Regions gathered.
From their meeting, ETER Union (Earth Technology for Eternite Resistance), an anti-Eternite organization based in Japan, was formed as the most advanced country in the field of technology.
ETER Union was tasked with studying, preparing, and fighting against the Eternites.

Fortunately the previous battle did not only result in bad things.
Many new things have been learned, which are useful for human life, such as Eternite Energy which is known as a new energy source.
Even that energy has accelerated technological and military developments 10 times faster.
It gives a human space to breathe.

I commented on the book I read.
It is interesting that humans are united because they have one common enemy. It also makes me wonder if humans can only unite like that.

I don't think it's like that. Like the future, humans are too complex and uncertain. We don't know what some of them think.
Is man good or bad? Relative, depending on the point of view. Well, there is no definitive answer to the adjective.

Mei turned her head towards me, distracting her from her book.

Maybe he thought that I was looking for information about Eternite because of the incident 5 years ago.
“Not completely true. I learned about them because I wanted to be better prepared in any situation. After all, this world is really messed up."

Mei was silent. Maybe I don't fully believe my words.
“Alright, maybe half right because of what happened 5 years ago. Anyway, I realized something after that incident. I don't want to lose my loved ones anymore, including you, so I have to prepare myself, one of them is looking for information."
Mei blushed a little when I said that I loved her too.

He said that in a low tone so I couldn't hear him.
However, I could hear that sentence because my senses were quite sharp, especially after doing various trainings. And I can only smile in response.
Mei thought for a moment then she remembered something.

Mei said seriously enough to think that maybe my family was in the story.
And it's like that. One of the Japanese families in the story is the Akaasa Family.
In the first Eternite invasion, the Akaasa contributed considerably. They provide a variety of technologies, weapons, and research that make humans still able to survive.
In addition, there is also a story about my great-grandfather in this book.
Well, there you have it, you could say the Akaasa Family is quite influential even for the world. Both in government, economy, and military influence is quite high. At first we were just an ordinary family that refused to get involved with the world, and just wanted to move behind the shadows.
But it may be due to being coerced by the existence of Eternite, or it may be for other reasons. Akaasa no longer hid and actively fought. Or so my mother told me.
