It turns out .. this is fun, inner Afra.
Afra began to walk down every step of the stairs with confidence and preceded the father. The father smiled at Afra who was really happy and returned cheerful, "this is indeed the best choice for her."
After walking down the stairs, Afra finally set foot on the ground for the first time. Afra smiled happily after successfully descending the stairs and could see the many trees outside. A breeze blew and the fallen leaves flew like butterflies. Afra was really happy.
While the father who was still on the stairs could only smile at Afra who waved her hand at him.
"Dad, come!" call Afra while continuing to wave both of her hands. The father smiled at Afra's words and then he walked down the stairs and approached Afra who was still waving her hand.
Afra smiled looking at her father and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you, Dad" said Afra, hugging her.
The father smiled and stroked his son's hair. Afra then let go of her embrace and set her eyes on her house which turned out to be a tree house.
Yeah, the tree house. Afra really did not expect his house to merge with a large tree. The big tree that was part of his house grew perpendicular, with his house under the leaves of the big tree. What a beautiful home.
Afra then turned her body and saw the forest trees in front of her.
"Well, let's go for a walk!" take Afra with him and pull his hand and walk into the forest. The father followed where Afra wanted to walk.
At every step, Afra looked around her. There are many trees that grow tall with green leaves. Clumps and shrubs also grew near the trees. The bright morning sunlight gave an increasingly pleasant impression to Afra.
"Dad, look at that tree!" point Afra towards a large tree that looks different from the surrounding trees.
"The tree had hair that grew hanging, but the leaves grew like an upside-down bowl!" afra explained the tree to her father. The father laughed at his son's explanation.
Afra was astonished to see her father laughing after hearing her words, "why did you laugh?"
"That's the name of the banyan tree, Afra. And the one who hangs it is not the hair, but the root of the tree. If the leaves grow like that so they can be used for shelter," the father explained about the tree, "you're not wrong, just funny."
Afra puffed her cheeks at her father's reply.
"Let's take shelter under that banyan tree!" take the father while lifting up Afra's body and walking towards the banyan tree. Afra was a little surprised because her father raised his body suddenly, but Afra was very happy.
Afra and the father then sat leaning under the banyan tree. It feels so refreshing. As if the warmth of the sunshine matched the cool breeze. Everything fused together and gave a calming impression, that was how Afra felt at the moment.
Time goes on, and the minister seems to be on top of his head. After resting for a while and enjoying the cool shade under the banyan tree, the father invited Afra to come home. However, Afra of course did not want and wanted to look around again.
"Ah, Dad! Why go home now? I still want to look around again!" rengek Afra tried to convince his father not to take him home.
The father would have been surprised to hear Afra's words. He also does not want if Afra's happiness is only limited to this. After thinking for a moment, he began to think of things that could make Afra happy.
"How about we play a game of guessing trees?" the father's proposal was immediately responded by the child with laughter.
"Guessing trees? Dad, I know a lot of tree names from the stories you read!" afra said with her arrogant tone.
The father replied to his son with a laugh, "is that so? Didn't you know the name of this tree?"
Afra's face flushed hearing the father's words.
"I–itukan earlier, Dad!" afra said in a high tone, "alright, we'll play the game!"
"Alright!" - the father got up from his seat - "we are from now on, Afra!"
The father and Afra went for another walk in the forest pointing to the trees and mentioning the name of the designated tree. There are Agatis trees, Teak trees, Benda trees, New trees, eucalyptus trees, and many more. Everything was mentioned by the father, and Afra could not even correctly name the names of the trees. Just a rough characteristic. That alone is still the same as when mentioning the characteristics of the banyan tree, and it makes the father laugh every Afra mention the characteristics of the tree that are equated with the forms of objects in the house.
Yes, it is only natural that Afra never came out of the house and also .. he did not know how the original form of each tree his father mentioned when reading it. Just know his name.
Unexpectedly, it turns out that there are many names of trees that Afra does not know. If the father does not propose this game, he may not know the names of the trees. Previously, Afra had felt a little strange about her. Or rather his attitude that suddenly felt different. And he seemed accustomed to his attitude that seemed more courageous to answer than before, namely his attitude that was always silent and just obeyed.
Why ... I can think and act like this, huh? thought Afra in her mind as she walked with her father back home.
-------------------
Home .. is a place where one can return. A place to go home. A place ...The beginning of a person's life and the end of which that person will return.
The sky began to look orange, and the sun began to dissipate itself. Now Afra was at home, and saw the light of the sunset from the window of her room with a happy feeling. Yes, Afra could finally feel what it was like to be outside her home. His dream to see the outside world he had felt in accordance with his father's promise. And that makes him even happier.
"Dad ... actually kept his promise, I'm happy!" afra muttered and smiled happily, "yes, even though I can't go out at night instead."
Earlier….
"Well, let's go in, Afra!" take the father while stroking his son's hair. Now the two of them had reached home just as the sunlight made the sky in the sky orange.
Afra, who had been silent while looking at the tree house, looked back and saw the forest she had seen with her father.
"Dad!" call Afra out loud.
The father then crouched down and aligned his position to be the same as Afra, "yes? Want daddy to carry?"
Afra shook her head, "no, Dad! I ... want to ask for something..," he said with a shy face.
"Afra wants what? I promise I'll keep it again!" said the father sincerely and gently.
Afra just kept quiet while bowing her head to hear her father's words. He was a little embarrassed to say it.
"What ... can I come out again tomorrow? And ... for the next .. Can you, Dad?" pinta Afra with her face reddened in shame.
The father chuckled at Afra's request, "of course it's okay, dear Afra. You can get out of the house now!" replied the father in a soft tone while stroking his son's bluish-black hair.
Afra was surprised and felt very happy to hear his father's answer, "be– really? Daddy!"
"Yes, Afra. Of course it's true" the father replied again, "but…."
"Huh? But?" Afra was surprised because suddenly the father said but while touching his nose with his index finger.
"But .. You can only come out when the sun is still shining! You can't go out at night! Understood?" the father explained to Afra affectionately.
"Yes, of course!" afra replied confidently after hearing her father's explanation. Afra was really happy because she was able to leave the house from now on, even though she was not allowed to go out at night.
"Most importantly, I was able to get out of the house and take a look at the beautiful scenery. That's enough for me now!"
