A Cup of Black Coffee

A Cup of Black Coffee
Chapter 6

I really don't understand Hulya's attitude. He's getting worse, instead of asking me about what I said last night, he's still quiet as if I'm wrong.

Ever since last night, I've been sleeping on the couch. There was no greeting or conversation this morning.

As usual, he served food. I intentionally did not eat the food he cooked. He remained silent, eager for me to vent my anger but to whom?

I hurried off without saying goodbye to him. My household feels unhealthy, there is even a thought of wanting to return it to his parents.

He was tired of living with me, too. And then I immediately shook off, remembering my parents' promise that I should never part with Hulya.

But if our circumstances are like this, we can still live the household.

"Why again?" Hendi let out a breath of breath looking at me who the last few times always looks sad.

I'd better tell him my problem, I don't think I can bear this burden.

"Let's have a coffee up ahead?" ask her that she believes I want to tell her a story.

We say goodbye to the employees, lucky today not too many orders, so they can still handle it without us.

"Look at Gil, who knows I can help. If not, it might be a little bit of a relief for your heart" he asked.

Right he said, if I can't provide a solution maybe I just need a listener and Hendi is a good listener.

Then the story of my home flowed. It felt really tight to the chest as I told you all the burdens that were squeezing the chest.

It seems complicated my household situation. Hendi just listened without interrupting. Only seen a few times he scrunched his forehead.

After I told him everything, I saw him sigh.

"Actually if you are married, you must open up to each other and forget the past. That if you are in the position of Hulya, I will definitely advise you so, whereas this is the case of Hulya ..."

"Why don't you ask for a solution to your family-in-law, who knows who will advise his daughter" Hendi explained.

"I've heard him even ask his family to no longer interfere. Looks like they know Hen, but there's probably not much they can do" I replied weakly.

"So you said that Azam wanted to get married, right? Maybe Hulya felt she had not expressed feelings to him until she did not know how Azam responded."

"But judging from Azam who was about to get married does not mean that the man has no feelings for your wife? Aishh is so dizzy with your wife!" chortled.

"Gil, this sory might sound crazy," Hendi suddenly said like that, making me link my eyebrows alertly.

"But it's up to you, just advice" he said hesitantly.

"What?" I was wondering, maybe I could accept the idea.

"Let your wife express her love—"

"CRAZY!" peekikku, crazy advice from Hendi is not possible I let Hulya express her feelings to Azam, although last night I also had time to say that to him.

"Here you go!" sulk Hendi.

"Your wife was curious about Azam because she did not know how Azam felt. Even though he knew Azam wanted to get married, what was wrong with Hulya said, it must have been rejected and heartbroken, then after you became her entertainer."

"Its annoying, but what do you want? At least you can be his entertainer" he continued.

It's a crazy idea, though I admit it's true what he said. But I don't know if I can make it happen or not.

After returning from the store, I decided to meet my family. It took me about two hours to get there.

My parents' house is much farther away than my parents-in-law's.

But my heart was in a state of turmoil and did not want to meet Hulya. I am afraid of losing my patience with my wife.

"Loh Gil, are you alone? Where's Hulya?" ask my mother when she welcomes me.

I kissed the back of his hand and didn't forget to hug him for a glance.

"What's wrong?" he asked while cupping both hands in my face.

"Bang Ragil?!" pekik Saeba cheerful. A smile spread on his lips.

His eyes were glazed over, he was getting more fat, visible from both of his bakpao-like cheeks.

Ah, it doesn't feel like he's grown up, considering that just yesterday I always drove him everywhere. Now he belongs to someone else.

"That brother is outrageous! Rarely play here! Where is Ka Hulya Bang? How alone?" his pedicab.

I rubbed his head wrapped in green hijab and smiled, thank goodness his life was happy.

I used to be anxious because Saeba chose to marry young with his cousin Hulya —Faisal.

"Your husband hasn't come home yet Ba?" ask me after sitting on the living room sofa.

Something has changed in my mom's living room. There's a picture of my and Hulya's wedding, and a picture of our extended family.

I sighed when I saw the photo, it was so sad.

"Your house is fine, isn't it Gil?" ask Mom after you sit with me.

He rubbed my back, maybe just cheering me on.

"Why is the same as my brother's house?" ask Saeba confused.

"Biasalah, her name is household there must be a test. The key is to be patient" said the mother.

Does it really have to be like that? Do I have to be patient again with Hulya's attitude?

"The question is aja Bu, Bang Ragil and Ka Hulya is a harmonious couple and always harmonious, surprised if suddenly there is a problem," said Saeba.

"Hush you, let your brother calm himself, there don't bother him. Just prepare some food for your husband and brother!" mother's orders.

"Yes Mom, Bang I prepared my brother's favorite food, yes" he said excitedly, I nodded back.

Very happy to see her home life that seems to be fine.

Now it's just the two of us, mom and then hold my hand.

"Patience to face Hulya, you must remember her family has helped us a lot," explained Mother who confused me.

Not even I told you anything but the reaction of the mother as if to say I have to give up and be patient, without listening to my complaints.

What's wrong with my mom? Does he know about my household, like Hulya's parents?

Then why did they ruthlessly hide it from me, what exactly was this?

Favorite dishes cooked Saeba can not arouse my taste. Intentions to calm down here that there is actually I feel more disappointed.

I felt alone, because I felt I had to understand whatever Hulya's attitude was without knowing our problems.

"Why Bang?" ask dad in between his meals.

Mom patted the back of dad's hand, making him look at mom.

Mother only shook her head in return so that father would not continue his question to me.

I followed my mother, after which we all ate in silence.

After eating, we headed to the family room to talk. There I saw Saeba struggling with her husband.

A very harmonious relationship in my eyes, very different from the condition of my household, when I should be the one who is still sweet gulping happiness as a newlywed.
