45 Days of Terror in the PKL

Episode 4

Just one step into the house where the blackout occurred, it was dark that the whole village was dark and there was not a single speck of light that night. The landlady provided us with a chair in the middle room, and she told us to sit there as long as she looked for a candle to light up her house.

“Nak, sit here first y'all yeah. Your stuff just leave it there on that doorstep, 'cause it's gonna be a room for girls. Mom turned on the candle first so we don't get dark like this.” Said the landlady to us.

I just kept quiet, my friend Anggi answered the words of the landlady.

The mother said back.

We girls heard that from our room, we smiled thinly, Ruth suddenly said.

I immediately took my toiletries, I went out of the room and went to the bathroom. As I walked towards the bathroom I passed Jonathan who had just finished bathing, he was wearing only shorts and no clothes.

One by one my friends took a shower but there was nothing long in the bathroom, 20 minutes at most Ruth. Finally we all decided to go to sleep, Irene turned off the room lights before she was about to go to sleep. I hate the dark but I know, I can't demand much, I'm afraid just because I'm a friend of mine can't sleep because they're used to sleeping with the lights off.

I decided to sleep next to Ruth because she was the bravest of us all, so I felt a little safe sleeping beside her. When I was about to close my eyes I heard the door open and closed again, it was a sign that senior brother had entered the room and was about to sleep. I fell asleep and forgot to pray.
